We had our wedding this past Saturday at the Somerville Elks and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Everything went perfect and we’ve gotten so many compliments (especially on the food! ). I recently hosted my sister's bridal shower at the Somerville Elks, and I could not be happier with how the day turned out. Jenny was incredibly helpful in helping us plan the shower, was attentive to whatever we needed, and always had an answer for any questions we had. Lots of guests shared compliments about the brunch buffet food and sheet cake dessert. The space was decorated beautifully; our room felt intimate without being cramped (no easy task with 70+ guests). Pricing was very reasonable. Most importantly, the bride-to-be had a wonderful time. Last week we held our daughters Sweet 16 here and everything was perfect from start to finish. We reserved the Ballroom for 155 guests and it was perfect. We originally were looking to only move our membership from Woodbridge, NJ to somewhere closer to Princeton and stopped in Somerville, NJ. I was VERY VERY VERY happy. I used the Elks to renew my wedding vows and the renewal and reception were in the same room! We hosted our dauhter and future son in law's engagement brunch party here yesterday. Our guests could not believe how beautiful this Elks banquet rooms and lodge are. I received so many compliments. The food was great. The service was great. The staff were all proffessionally dressed in nicely appointed attire. You won't believe the prices, the best I found with zero hidden fees. The linens, table wear, cake, sound system use are all included. Our beautiful room also had full access to the outside patio with gas lit fire pit where the men enjoyed an afternoon cigar! So VERY pleased with my experience at the Somerville Elks Lodge! I am grateful for the recommendation my friend gave me and I enthusiastically agree. Jim and Jenny were exceptional during the planning process and their execution was flawless. They worked with our organization to create a memorable event! The décor is beautiful, the food delicious and the service outstanding. I was so impressed with the fact that Jim grows some of the vegetables and herbs that he uses in his cooking. Jim was also very attentive to the special dietary requirements of some of our attendants. The Somerville Elks rivals the food and service at pricier venues, so when looking for a location be sure to include them in your search. I hosted two bridal showers here and both were great. Jenny was a huge help at setting up the rooms and going over the party details beforehand. For both showers I went with their brunch package which I highly recommend. All the guests raved about the food, the selection and the omelette station was a hit. Also, the venue itself doesn't look like your classic Elks lodge. It's bright and airy and set up for events such as this. I highly recommend you consider the Somerville Elks for your next party.
