Solid is the absolute best place to dance! My son is actually a great dancer thanks to J.R. who has the amazing patience to teach every level and every age! J.R. is amazing at what she does. I have know JR since she first opened 15 years ago. She is not only an amazing and gifted teacher/choreographer but she has a connection with her students that can only be characterized as unique. They love her! Â Which only contributes to her ability to help these kids reach for the highest that is in them. Solid performs all over Orange County, CA giving the students the opportunity to display their talents in a variety of venues. Their shows are always fun to watch and talent nothing short of amazing. I want to start by saying that bringing my kids to Solid Hiphop has been an amazing experience for both my son and daughter ages 8 and 12. My daughter has been doing dance, cheerleading, tumbling, etc... Since she was 3 years old at various studios and by far the technique she has learned with solid Hiphop in just 2-3 months was already a great improvement than with any other studio. Another thing I love is that there is a fairly good amount of boys taking class as well as girls. My son felt very comfortable in class and made friends easily with other dancers rather than other locations where you have mostly if not all girls in the class and maybe one young boy or two that want to take a dance class but feel out of place with a bunch of girls only. J.R. the owner is wonderful with the kids. She talks to them at a level where they feel comfortable and can listen and take instructions as well as laugh and have fun and not be intimidated to ask questions. And other instructor Kesli is an amazing choreographer and up to date with all the newest moves keeping the kids having fun as they learn routines feeling as if they were ready to perform in a music video. Solid Hiphop has helped both my kids on their dancing skills as well as boosting their self confidence way up and not as shy as when they first started. You will love Solid Hiphop if you are serious about your child receiving hard, intense, dance training that will push their limits a bit for it is a fast paced class, but after a few lessons you'll see how much it has really paid off to be a part of Solid Hiphop family. So, I need to update my review. I originally gave the 1 star based on our first few encounters. With that out of the way and my son actually being in the class, he's having fun. He wants to come home and show me his new moves and he's with kids his own age so he feels more encouraged to try.Great job! More...

Both my children ages 7 and 11 just started dancing with Solid Hip hop a little over 2 months ago and they both absolutely love It! J.R. does such a great job with kids. My daughter has attended other various dance studios and by far Solid is our favorite amongst all others. Training is very intense. My daughter has developed her dance skills here at Solid within 2 months more than she did with any other dance group. We love it here. More...

We love Solid Hip Hop ! Our daughter has been going for 3 years and has performed In so many great shows the last few years ! Disneyland! Staples ! Knott's! UCI ! SC street fair ! HB street fair and The OC fair ! Balboa street parade too ! JR teaches self confidence through dance and attitude and it's so important to teach our kids getting up on stage and dancing in front of large audiences! My daughter loves JR ! My daughter has been taking dance @ Solid Hip Hop for a few months now. J.R. Doesn't do much marketing so I am so happy I found her. My daughter has learned more in 3 months than she has since she started dancing at age 2. J.R and Brittany (teacher) are totally dedicated and do whatever it takes for the shows even though it's extra time for them. J.R is a perfectionist and demands the very best in each dancer and that's why the dancers are so good! I cannot say enough great things about Solid Hip Hop and I love watching my daughter grow as a dancer there.
