Q&As

Getting to know the people you are photographing and tailoring what you create to who they are as people. Making people feel at home so that the poses and facial expressions are genuine. Styling the background and clothing chosen.

What types of pictures are they looking for, what do they want to "say" with the images they are requesting, what do they like about pictures they like? I ask them to show me some pictures of themselves and tell me what they like about the images. I ask them about themselves so I can suggest props, locations and etc that they might want to include. I really like to create a body of work that really speaks to the person I am photographing but that sometimes has something a little surprising. Often a person has a secret persona that isn't evident in day to day actions such as a person that never wears dresses might want to wear a gown and high heels and do some glamor shots as well as a more traditional pictures.

I love helping people see that they are beautiful and that they are seen as such. I like to capture a glimpse of who they really are. I love seeing a beautiful image and working with people on a vision.

I was always an artist. I love pictures and color and contrast and imagery. I started out an art major and everyone told me that artsits never make money, I believed them and went on to study Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology; I loved learning about it but my heart was not in it to pursue a career in the sciences.
I wanted to take images and photographs how I wanted to take them and collab with the client. I didn't want to churn out clients but rather work with them to produce something unique.

They should choose me if they are looking for someone to collaborate with and like the images they see on my website. I like to do natural light photography so that should be something they are looking for as well.
