Just joined- not a very large gym but very nice and clean. Good machines/equipment. Easy parking. Hoping that there are classes offered for members.

The staff and my trainer are totally into helping you reach your goals whatever they may be. They professionally encourage you to reach them in every session, & yet personally prepare & instruct an individual plan that fits your own body issues to accomplish where you want to be. Snap is easy and convenient and affordable. The treadmills are better than most and the weight training equipment is sufficient. the new studio is such a great resource. This is a review of the Snap Fitness on E. Main in Bexley.Disclaimer:  I have only been a member for about a month.  I have been a member of the YMCA downtown, Aussie Fit East, and the JCC before this and am comparing to those clubs. Negatives:1) There are no lockers, locker room, or showers.  I usually like to go to my workout straight from work.  There are large restrooms with benches for changing, but my work clothes have to be stuffed in a cubby shelf and I can't shower before putting them back on.  So let me be clear, if you need showers, this is not the place for you.  There are lock boxes for your valuables.2) It is priced about the same as the other clubs I mentioned, that have amenities like pools, steam rooms, group classes, etc..3) The floor exercise area is a little on the small side, with 3 floor mats and related floor exercise equipment. But adequate.Positives:1) This is by far the cleanest club I have been in.  Everything seems new, not worn out and dirty.  It is always clean.  The bathroom is spotless, unlike some other clubs.  Free weights are always off the floor and stacked.  Even the mirrors and doors appear to be cleaned regularly.  All members seem to be contentious about using the cleaning spray and towels on equipment after use.  2)  The equipment is new and there is pretty much everything most people would need.  Understand that this is not a big place with lots of equipment, but what there is, will be fine for most.3) It's not crowded.  I usually work out after work and mornings on weekends, yet I have never had to wait to use any equipment. 4) It's available 24/7.   Unlike the JCC which is closed Saturday mornings and for about 15 holiday days a year.5) Trainers seem to be there all the time  I don't use them.  I'm sure they are an extra fee, but they are used by a lot of patrons. 6) No annoying loud music.  No annoying pop videos.  Sound is turned off on TVs.  No sales literature for classes or sports supplements lying around. (Aussie Fit has all the above)  In general, I find this to be a more clean, more quiet, and less crowded experience than at any other club I have belonged to. More...

I paid less monthly for a "meat market" gym. This place is great. Everyone respects the "I have my headphones in, so don't talk to me" rule.  No drooling meatheads making you feel uncomfortable with every rep. (Note: meatheads reading this review, please go elsewhere. Or at least respect the fore mentioned rules).You can save by prepaying for a full year.  I've also heard that other locations run different specials. Convenient location between home, work and grocery. No one bothers me at the gym - I can get in, do my thing, and get out at most times of the day. Bexley is my favorite location: spacious, sunny and friendly customers. As a woman, I feel most comfortable getting into the weight machines at this location because I'm not competing in a small space. More...
