I have been a member of this Snap Fitness for almost 3 years. I have tried many other 'big name' fitness centers in Fremont before I joined here. It's a small place to start with. But you have got enough equipments to work with. They have changed their equipments recently and added new trainers as well. Except summer time, I haven't seen this place packed and had to wait for a long time. I have very good experience working with the personal trainers there - Chad and Jordan. They are very knowledgeable and helpful to meet your goals. Would definitely recommend them. They have TV and most of the time you are free to choose the channels you want to watch. I enjoy the early morning soccer games here during the weekends. One big negative about this place is, they don't have showers. Apart from that, its too good and worth the money. I would recommend this place any day. More...

Joined Snap at this location about 5 years ago. Love the location, which is less than 5 minutes from home. Great that I can go work out any time I want as it is 24x7. Facility is relatively small and basic, but more than adequate. Staff members are friendly and easy going. Last year I worked with Ana  to get ready for my college reunion in Australia. Suffice to say my college friends were really surprised to see me in such a good shape after all these years.  I attribute a lot of that to Ana's expertise and continuous encouragement (and a little bit of prodding as well :-).  All in all, this gym works. I LOVE Snap fitness and working out with Ana, my personal trainer, who is a real joy. She asks you what areas you want to improve in, we always try new things, and does not push anything you are not comfortable with. She is very positive and encouraging and I have noticed a real difference in my upper body strength, posture and overall fitness. I used to avoid the gym because i love being outside exercising but i find Snap is very much part of my workout routine now. It's a clean, small gym. Very friendly. Highly recommend Ana Almaraz. Great person and trainer! More...

This gym is "no frills," which means it is almost as awesome as the Canadian grocery chain. It is all one relatively small room. No showers, pool, or fancy niche rooms and floors. There is always parking and no line for machines. Unlike 24 hour, this is not a dating facility, and nobody will bother you. It is convenient, cheap, and clean. More...

I belong to Snap Fitness in Half Moon Bay. While visiting a friend in Fremont I used this East Bay facility for a week. This Snap is immaculate. The equipment is new and well maintained. There is plenty of room between machines, and in the free weight & stretching area, compared to other Snap facilities. I was there every morning. There were plenty of machines available. The staff and trainers were working with clients while I was there. From what I observed they seem super talented and they practice what they teach. They were in superb shape themselves. Great Snap Fitness facility! More...

I've been working out at Snap Fitness in Fremont for close to 2 years now and it isn't for everyone.  It's small and may not have all the equipment you would find at one of the larger fitness center chains, but I am still giving this place 5 starts and here's why:1. )  Proximity.  This place works for me because it's close and so one I will consistently go to2.)  It has all the equipment needed to get fit3.)  No wait on machines4.)  Clean facility with towel service5.)  The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable.  Management is responsive and big on customer satisfaction.  I had issues with accessing their wi-fi and it was fixed.  The door lock on one of the restrooms wasn't working and that was fixed immediately. And because it is a smaller gym you get to know the people here overtime and you can change the TV channel to your liking!   I would recommend this gym if it fits your needs. My review is based on my experience personal training with Ana.  I started training with Ana about two months ago, twice a week for thirty minutes. It may not sound like a lot but what a difference! I already did a lot of cardio and wanted to tone up and become stronger. I couldn't figure out why I was spending time exercising but not accomplishing my goals. Well Ana showed me small changes that made a big difference. If you want to get in shape and feel great I recommend Ana - she's a great motivator and figures out your weaknesses so you can focus on those areas. She crams a lot into 1/2 hour too. I always leave tired- in a good way. It's a worthwhile investment in yourself. More...

Snap Fitness is a neighborhood gem conveniently located in the Mission San Jose area of Fremont on Mission Blvd, easy access off 680.  We have been members since they opened their doors.  The management & trainers are experienced, knowledgeable and friendly to work with.  The facility is clean and well maintained.  The multigenerational members are nice and respectful of your work out space.  We have been members of several other local clubs in the past and Snap Fitness is clearly #1. I have been a member of Snap since it opened. I love the feel of this gym. I left 24hrs for 2 reasons: cleanliness, and the fact they were not 24hrs. I feel like this is MY gym since I can access it anytime I need (and it's helpful that it is 5 min away from my house). The equipment is state-of-the-art...the elliptical stands out because they do not feel like a traditional elliptical (which I feel are much harder / cause more strain).I started personal training because my teenage days have been over for a few years, and adulthood is taking over :)My current personal trainer is Paul...he is exactly what I needed. I have a bad back, and I am not the most athletic person in the world. When I started with him, I was clumsy, off-balance and weak. He can sympathize with my back issues because he has experienced the same pains. I wanted to make sure that I don't "bulk up" because I do not have the time to become a body builder, and I feared that muscle would turn to fat if I fell off the wagon. A couple months after starting with Paul, my friends and family have noticed that I am no longer a slouchy, awkward "bean-pole", but rather, a toned / lean, confident person who now is addicted to staying healthy. Paul works with my crazy schedule, and gives me tips on what to eat / drink / what indie flicks are fun to watch / what concerts are coming up etc. :) He broke my perception of "trainers are intimidating"...as he is not. In fact, all of the trainers are excellent here, and obviously care about their clients or they would be at a super- mondo -gym!I can go on and on...but if you are feeling curious, I strongly urge you to check this place out...you'll find that it is a refreshing alternative to over-used and crowded gyms, or your couch at home! I like this place because it feels private and it's very conveniently located! I just came back to Fremont after living abroad and I needed a gym to join. I heard about Snap Fitness through a coupon I received and decided to check it out. This place has brand new machines and the staff is very nice. A random person who was working out at the gym saw me signing up and he told me to use the Groupon deal instead ($20 for 30 days) so I did that. He told me to save the coupon I received in the mail for free initiation if I decide to move forward with Snap which is such a good deal because initiation is $150.I would strongly advise you to google the Groupon deal to see if it's still available for Snap if you're looking to sign up! I think this place is a hidden treasure - once you're signed up, you'll be given a key card that allows you to access the gym 24 hours a day. The staff is only there certain hours of the day (I forgot what they are) but as long as you have the key card, you're good to go.The only cons of this place are: no showers (but not a big deal because most people live very close by in the Fremont area), no towels (remember to bring your own!) and no vending machine (remember to bring your own water bottle - you can fill up water there though).Enjoy! Convenient, clean, and close by!  Snap Fitness is a great neighborhood gym to get in shape and stay that way.  There is a wide variety of weight and fitness equipment that made it easier for me to vary my workouts over the past year.  I recently decided to work with a personal trainer--I could see the great progress and results a number of friends were achieving with different trainers at Snap Fitness.  I am so happy that I took the plunge--geez, what took me so long!  Esther works with me and she is a phenomenal trainer.  She targeted my workouts that have reduced my knee pain while building  strength and endurance.  I have much more energy to keep up with my work and my teenager and all his activities.  In only 8 weeks with Esther, I have lost 20 pounds and gained better health and confidence.  I feel GREAT and so happy to have this non-intimidating place to work out with friendly people and a welcoming, supportive staff. Snap Fitness is truly a gem! I decided to start out 2013 by getting into shape (I say this every year, but because of a gig, I actually have incentive! )'so I decided to head over to Snap to see my options. I met with Esteban, one of the trainers at Snap, and found that he had a great plan for me and my out of shape body. I am not a huge fitness person, so I was pleased to see that he was willing to work with me, and was also super friendly and optimistic (not to mention easy on the eyes). He is also in great shape himself, which lets me know that I can trust him with forming my future rockin' bod. He put me on his Body Transformation plan, and let me tell you, my body is transforming.  I immediately began to see results, and am so lucky to have found him! He is super easy to talk and work with, not to mention bother with my questions about food and out of gym activities. He helped me figure out how much, and what I should be eating.  The stuff we do in the gym is great and also fun, though trust me, he kicks my butt. The Snap facilities are also awesome.  It's a relaxing environment with lots of well-maintained and CLEAN equipment. It's a good size, not too big, but small enough where you can really get the attention and help you need! Go to Snap, see my Esteban and get your butt kicked, you need it. More...

This place rocks!!!  Very clean, friendly staff, awesome trainers, open 24 hours, and has a beautiful safe location next to running trails and easy freeway access. It's rear to see this place with over ten people working out at the same time, and I'm sure it's due to it's convenient 24 hour availability. Iv seen a couple of professional athletes working out there which explains why they are rumored to have some of the best trainers in the bay area. In my opinion this place has the best bargain because you get top of the line equipment, one free orientation with the weights and starting a workout program, and one free assessment with one of the trainers when you join. another thing I really like is how the staff is not pushy with sales, they seem genuine about wanting to help you get in good shape and setting you up with the right trainer. So if you are serious about getting in shape and your tired of paying dues at a gym year to year with no results, this place is your golden nugget in a sea of pretenders. More...

In short: quick, low-budget, no-frills fitness. Great value.Snap Fitness is a small weight room. It's no bigger than a large hotel weight room, with 4 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, a set of free weights + benches, and ~15 fixed-weight machines. So it's enough for most people, but it's not jam-packed with every machine known to man like luxury weight rooms at, say, ClubSport Fremont. The place is pretty low-budget -- there are two bathrooms, some cubbies, no locker rooms or lockers, and no showers. It's great for someone who lives nearby or comes from and goes home after working out. One huge plus for me is that the place is very, very clean, perhaps from being so new. Another nice tidbit is that the ellipticals and treadmills all have iPod chargers to go with TV's-- you can even play videos off your iPod on them. The pricing is very flexible -- as I'm only in Fremont 5 or 6 weeks every year, I really need pay-as-you-go service with no termination/activation/etc. fees -- I currently pay $20 per two weeks of membership, as well as a $25 one-time key deposit. There are family and commitment discounts as well. I know that there are personal trainers during peak hours, but I try to go during off-peak times so I can turn up the volume on the TV's without disturbing anyone. The weeks that I'm in Fremont tend to be my healthiest weeks of the year (despite being during the holidays) -- between Mom's cooking and actually having the time and energy to exercise, it's the least I can do to get rid of my freshman fifteen (and sophomore fifteen, and juni-- well, let's just not go there...)
