An ode to the ribs:
Glistening, crisp, and moist as can be
Tis the reason for a trip to New Jersey.
I await with awe for my waiter to serve
The bounties of heaven I surely don't deserve.
I've waited enough and here they arrive,
No fork and knife, face first I dive.
With sauce on my face I've finished the plate,
Best place to have visited on my first date.

With a heavy heart I write the last review for the Cedar Lane location. Joe G wasn't just an owner and friend. Joe took extreme joy and passion in kosher bbq and that everything was always perfect and customers were happy.
Many a time my 12 year old would come home in a jumpy gitty mood. I'd ask why? she would answer it's my bday are we going to smokey Joe?
I know in my heart of hearts Joe and smokey Joe have not seen thier last rodeo. I am urging all of the smokey Joe fans to plead with Joe to either open a new place or take his show on the road literally.
Many a food show is chock full of bbq but no one can do it like smokey Joe. How I pray the day will come soon that we will see a new food truck in times square the village or where ever life takes Joe.
Many good times and meals were enjoyed by all at smokey Joe's. I hope this year will bring Joe and smokey Joe a new venture so we can still partake in the the best kosher bbq on earth.
