This place is absolutely amazing!! Its so nice to have a BBQ place in Indiana that taste just like home . I'm originally from the South and sometimes I miss the food but the first bite I took. ..well it made curse it was so good.I felt like I was back home and I was eating my grandmothers mac and cheese! I had the pulled chicken sandwich with a BBQ peach sauce and fries on the side. I cant wait to go back and get it again! Also the staff were absolutely amazing. oh, my god… tonight we finally tried “Smoketown Blues” for the first time and it was phenomenal ! this food tastes like love… from the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was incredible. we were lucky enough to get there when they weren’t packed, so we got to talk to and hang out a bit with the wonderful owners, Steve and Mireya. i’ve had some incredible bbq in my life and this ranks right up there… i had the brisket and the smak and cheese, Randy had the ribs… every single bite was perfection. All meats are gluten free as well as a few of the sides. Everything everyone in our party ordered was absolutely amazing, especially the ribs which quite literally fell off the bone! The owner came to speak to me about their kitchen and whether they could accommodate celiac safe, ensured they would handle my food appropriately, and I never got sick (which I typically do eating out). Had a great meal tonight! My wife and I started with the chicken quesadilla and the chicken was so tender and tasty! My wife had the Memphis pulled pork sandwich and the pork was not dry at all. .very flavorful. I had a 3-meat try with half a slab of ribs, brisket and andouille sausage. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came into the area for a mini family vacation. We had visited a winery nearby and asked for dinner recommendations nearby. Smoketown Blues BBQ was one. We were so glad that it was. Not only was it an awesome atmosphere, but the staff was friendly and very good and the food was THE BEST BBQ we have ever had!! In our big party everyone ordered something different and everyone raved about their meal. We will recommend this to all our family and friends! Stopped in for lunch as we were passing through town. Very nice restaurant. Not busy and we were waited on promptly. I had the pulled pork with peach bbq sauce and it was amazing. Daughter enjoyed the brisket quesadilla while my husband said the Philly was the best he ever had. And definitely try the strawberry lemonade. Traveled back to Valpo after being out of town for a year and decided to give them a try. Incredible BBQ and awesome drink selection, I was not disappointed. Stopped in at random on Saturday evening pretty late. I was very happy I did. In addition to the extraordinary food, I found a very welcoming staff and comfortable environment. I met one of the co-owners, also the person who runs the smokers & makes the BBQ sauce, and she was so sweet and obviously VERY excited about the work she was doing. When people have this much love, passion and commitment to the work they are doing the results are just that much better. The food, service and people who work there represented by that love, passion & commitment very well. You can taste it in the recipes and feel it on the room… well, I could anyway. Tried this place out for the first time tonight. First, having never been there I asked to try their various types of sauce before I dropped anywhere from $25-$30 a plate. Was told it would be .50 for each sample of the sauce. I was like “wow” you are charging me $25-$30 a plate and now you want to charge me to try out tour sauces to make sure I like it before I put it on. So I asked for it on the side. My son liked the ribs. We had brisket and pulled pork. It was good but not “oh my God this is the best I ever had”.Our server didnt really know anything I assume she was new. The service was quick. They were friendly. I will say the BBQ beans were really good. The coleslaw had a funny soap taste which I dont know why that was. So after spending $100.00 I will say the food was good but not “oh I cant wait to go back there good”. Maybe it was an off day. A suggestion maybe take a plate put a dab of each sauce on the plate and let the customer try it before hand and not charge them .50 a little cup to try it before you buy it. More...

Tried the ribs, brisket, spicy mac, and cornbread. It was delicious! I recommend getting the sauce on the side because the meat itself is so good. The cornbread muffin was HUGE and was moist with good flavor. We took out carryout before their dining room opened.
