Food 4 star, service 1 star. I was staying in a hotel and they were right next door. I had to ask for bbq sauce before leaving. When i got back to my hotel, turns out i had no silver ware or napkins. Since pandemic most if not all restaurants mastered the to go packaging. Not here though. Now i will have to remember to ask for it.By the way i was under the impression none can be dini g or bust drinking alcohol indoors wothout food. 3 tables by the bar were packed with people with no social distancing and they all had cocktails. I just wanted to pickup my food and leave. Then again.. Food was pretty good even though i had to use my fingers to eat collard greens and potato salad. More...

Best damn BBQ in the valley! Kind of a hidden spot but damn is it worth it. Brisket is smoked to perfection, and the ribs are something else! I love this place!

Went to the alternate location years ago, it's since been closed. My experience was night and day, I was raving about how amazing this bbq joint was to my bf, only to feel bad that it was mediocre in the end. I remembered a bomb deliciously smoked brisket, this was bland, not tender, very lack luster. The sausage was good, the Mac n cheese was okay, the ribs were alright, and the pulled pork was alright. Nothing blew you out of the water with the amazingness I had experienced previously at the other location. The service was decent, the staff very nice and cordial. I would be back in a heartbeat to experience the BBQ I had once experienced before. More...

Where do I even begin Food!! This place has the best bbq (hands down) in the valley.. Maybe even in all of Cali. The brisket is lean, tender and will leave you wanting more. The burnt ends are the most delicious, served with their bbq sauce, but not enough to overpower the tender, meaty flavor. There are so many great options that you have to try some of everything, which is perfect because they have combo options. Service is amazing. Earl is the absolute best and boy can make a mean margarita.. My suggestion.. Take an Uber because you can't just have one. This BBQ spot has won me over. Their cleanliness, professionalism, great food and drinks will keep me coming back for more. Job well done. More...

We were in from Hermosa Beach for a wedding for the weekend. We were craving some bbq. We stumbled on this little bbq joint on yelp with good reviews. We reached out to inquire if we needed reservations and got a reply back quickly from ownership. Erin told us to let Earl the bartender know we talked with her and he would take great care of us. He did!!! He makes a mean hand shaken margarita and don't pass up the hand muddled jalapeño watermelon margarita - awesome!!!!The bbq was spot on. Ribs were tender , wings flavorful and the fried pickles and onion rings were perfect sides!!! If you're looking for some good bbq, walk down the side of the Ralph's shopping center and sit down for some finger lick'n goodness. More...

Definitely lot's of room for improvements. I really wanted to like this place and give it a try. Even giving this place 2 stars is pushing it, honestly. I got the "Choose 2 Meats" (brisket, ribs) and it was bad. Ordering fries is also an extra $2, which is very interesting. For a restaurant that claims to be a "BBQ Restaurant" it really needs A LOT OF WORK. Mac and Cheese was dry and tasted old. Corn bread was basically a muffin that is tasteless. I for sure make better cornbread. Overall, the food was edible. Definitely won't be returning. Not worth the price and the 40 min wait for my food (there was barely any people). Also, please be more professional. Basketball shoes and a shirt with a women in a tiny outfit is not work appropriate. Service: 1.5/55 (no sense of urgency) Food: 1/5Ambience: 2/5 (tables are crowded even during COVID) More...

Looks can be deceiving. I ordered the 3 meat plate from here and I have a few comments about this. 1 Do not order the fried pickles most disgusting thing I've ever ate. 2 BBQ portions should be better than these two little strips of brisket and it was so salty. I could not even taste the smoke. 3 My sides were terrible I couldn't get passed the first bite of the Mac n cheese it was so bland and it did not taste like Mac n cheese. My coleslaw was so vinegary i couldn't even eat it. 4 How can you let burnt chicken leave your kitchen and serve it to customers!? I could've seriously got a better plate from Dickeys BBQ. I drove all way from Indio to try this highly recommended place. I will not ever come back here. I'm a huge BBQ lover this place is terrible today. More...

We got takeout today for dinner based on the yelp reviews. The smoked chicken wings were crispy and delicious. The burnt ends were lean, lightly sauced and quite good. The full rack of baby backs was a miss! They were dry rubbed but were lacking the char or crust we like on ribs. They looked steamed and while meaty, were very dry. The Mac and cheese and beer battered onion rings were both good and we were surprised how well the onion rings travelled and stayed crispy. We'll definitely go back but no ribs next time. More...

We went to local restaurant, wanted to support them during "Social Distance" time. Ribs and sausage was excellent, but count your side orders before you leave. We were supposed to get 2 per meal, they gave 2 per order and charged for 4. $2. Each Extra per premium side. I thought, they would be happy to have customers, but I felt like I was interrupting their day off. I contributed it, to dealing with these times. More...

I have been on a quest to try all the bbq joints here in the valley and compare it to what I have lived with in the south(Tennessee) and in Texas, this place really has a great concept and I give you guys that. I really enjoyed eating here and I feel I went on a day that the ribs were not done fresh that day, you can tell in the picture or am I lying They were also a little dry or do they look succulent to you Maybe they need to be basting them constantly in my own opinion once again, I'm chef FYI so bare with me. The Junkyard Doggie has lifted my spirits. It's incredibly savory and definitely pulls out the mad hungry food beast within. This gargantuan hot dog redefines the once simple term. It's packed with a bacon wrapped pork dog and a special mad sauce which stitches the dog with little bits of pulled pork. The cherry on top is literally nacho cheese on top and it is goooolorious More...

Came here after a hike to see the waterfall at Tahquitz Canyon. The workout made my partner and the mesquite got us in the mood for barbecue. Luckily found this spot which wasn't too far a drive and easily found parking. For lunchtime on a Friday, the spot was surprisingly not busy. Still, service was slow and was that way from the very beginning. Upon entering I couldn't tell if it was a seat your self establishment, just so you know it is. Upon ordering drinks, the wait to actually order our food was confusingly long. Anyway, the food made up for it. It was delicious and the having access to four barbecue sauces was delightful. Also, the fries were beer battered and you could actually taste the beer. If ever in the area, I would definitely come back just maybe not when I'm starving. More...

Finally tried this BBQ place. Not found many bbq places in CA that impressed me. This place didn't at all. The brisket sandwich had way too much bread. The brisket was tender but didn't have a smoky flavor. The sauces were not the greatest. Had the potato salad and it was just blah! Geez, add some spices for flavor! Brisket sandwich was ok. Very tender but nit seasoned well. I would have preferred less bread and less fat pieces of meat. The ribs are fork tender but lacking seasoning. The nachos are very delicious and you must try the house made lemonade. The baked beans weren't too bad either. Loved the sweet potato fries. I dipped them in nacho cheese and it was so bomb ! Each bbq sauce is very unique. I wasn't going to try the ghost pepper but it looked good . I liked the patio option versus the inside.
