I have been a loyal patron of slow burn for years now. The depth of flavor their hot chicken has is untouchable . Aside from that, the vibe is comfortable, if you are a customer you are family. They are humble yet extraordinary and causally the very top in the industry. In the dining area you may have had the opportunity of meeting the owner or her daughter. I have watched them talk to every sort of person you can imagine about anything under the sun every chance they get. We were there for lunch right at 11. Don was so helpful and a TRUE joy. I did not get the ladies name working the counter but her customer service was ABOVE and beyond.
She greeted us, let us know she was attending to the drive thru but would be right with us. Then she answered EVERY question , gave great suggestions and was sooo pleasant. We will by returning soon because to food was SOOOO GREAT! THE blue cheese was so unique and flavorful and the southern Slow burn tenders GET IN MY BELLY, that Mac n cheese though... LAWD...

Slow Burn Hot Chicken... so phenomenal, it might offend your granny. So, today, a conversation on Hip Hendersonville, alerted my hubs and I of this new locally owned chicken place, so we decided it was a must try. A few hours later... I ordered bone-in, "Sprinkle" and the hubby ordered bone-in, "Slow Burn" and then we parked ourselves at a table. There were a lot of small groups and at least 1 large order ahead of us, so our wait was about 30 minutes, but... Oh Boy... we were not disappointed. Every bite was hot (temperature) and heated to our desired expectation (flavor) and perfect. You know, most fried chicken, that "flavor" is all in the breading... not at Slow Burn. Every succulent bite brings back nostalgic memories of Sunday dinner at Granny's. Except this is not your granny's chicken... it's what your granny's chicken wishes it could have been. Sorry Granny. I mean, you still take the blue ribbon on chilli, biscuits, hot cocoa, homemade ice cream and potato salad (maybe, only because I didn't try Slow Burn's potato salad)... but this chicken is better than sneaking out of the house, to meet that boy you never liked, when I was 16... only I don't feel the need to keep it a secret for 36 years. Tomorrow's "Sunday dinner", might be another visit to Slow Burn... Granny can take the day off. 😉 😜 More...
