Great food! I get the slopes special or the grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss. The Cole slaw and fries are always good. The service is excellent and Tara is exceptional behind the counter!!! Booooom!!

Great place and prices for BBQ and service is great! I walked in during lunch time and they were busy which is a great sign. This establishment feels like a mom and pop shop where regulars come, and the employees know you by your first name or by your order :) You order at the counter, get your drink and sit down and they will bring it out to you. Or place it to go and just wait at the counter, grab and go. Prices are really good for bbq and there's lots to choose from, traditional sides like green beans, Brunswick stew and collards. Sweet tea is great !! I ordered the big sandwich with 2 sides and a drink for $9.75. The pork tasted very good like it was smoked for hours, and there's bbq sauce on each table (mild and hot, vinegar) collards and Brunswick stew was so good !!! Don’t come here looking for small portions and having low expectations. Slopes will have you and your stomach beat. Food served with the utmost southern hospitality the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and an open menu. You won’t hesitate long as you’re sure to find something to your liking. Home cooked meal away from home is all you need to call this place your new favorite spot. I grew up in Kansas City, the bar-b-que epicenter of the universe and I must've driven past Slopes (one location or another) for 21 years (I moved here in '97, they opened in '98). Â But a few months ago I was wanting to try something different from the usual rota of places I routinely eat. Â So I tried Slopes. Â An unassuming, facade, the building doesn't do justice to the taste that awaits inside. Â It's simply the best bar-b-que and sides I've eaten since moving away from Kansas City in 1970. Â I love the BBQ brisket (chopped extra fine). Â And if you come after about 6 PM (at the Alpharetta location), they'll have these biscuits that are just the most scrumptious in the world. Â And today I discovered the always have cherry cobbler (which I'm eating right now as I type this). Â It's become one of my very favorite places to eat. Very good BBQ and sides.  Generous portions and reasonable prices.  I've tried the pulled pork and brisket so far,  both were very good.  Their sauces are excellent.  I like the  hot the best.  As far as sides go the beans and fries were good,  but the Brunswick stew and jalepeño cheese grits were excellent.  Also the cherry and blackberry cobblers were very good.  Friendly staff as well. Ordered a Labor Day picnic for 10 from the Alpharetta location. Â Let me start by saying that I will be doing this many times over. Â We did the pulled pork and rib combo plate. We received enough food to feed at least 15 people. Â The ribs were falling off the bone. Â The baked beans and Mac n cheese were just as if you made them in your own kitchen (maybe better). Â The food was amazing but the true highlight was how well the staff takes care of you. Â With our picnic order we received all paper products, all serving utensils, a squirt bottle for the BBQ sauce. Â Wet napkins to clean up with. Â They do not miss a thing.
