Mark has been training my German Shepherd, Jaeger. Jaeger has definitely improved after his 3 weeks of training. Mark is very helpful and continues to train and fix any issues. Highly recommended!

We are very pleased with Mark, he did a wonderful job with our Puppy (Blackie) he was gone for 3 weeks and when he came back he was a different dog very well behaved and listens to our commands. Having moved from a large horse farm I was having difficulty with my two Shiloh Shepherds who had been used as guard dogs. Once I moved to Anna Maria I had problems with them being very aggressive with new people, landscapers, and workmen. I also had problem with walking them when passing bicyclists, pedestrians or other animals. I had begun to feel that they were ill suited for my new lifestyle. After leaving them with Mark they are different girls! While attentive towards workmen or landscapers around the house, they showed no aggression, and while walking and did not even attempt to chase a cat! We purchased our handsome black German Shepherd Lipo from Petland Sarasota about 5 weeks ago and decided that we were going to use him as a Service dog. After doing research on the internet we found Mark and K9 Academy. What a wonderful choice. We are still in the thick of training with Mark but we could not be more pleased with the results thus far. Our atypical Golden Retriever was far more than we could handle to the point he wasn't even very likable. We hired Mark per advice from our vet and we are so thankful we did. Mark has helped us and our dog tremendously. He is extremely responsive and answers my calls/texts right away. Mark has changed our dog cooper tremendously!! He is very attentive and obedient and not as anxious anymore. The largest improvement and reason why we hired Mark was to help cooper with social skills. He can now be in another room/park/yard with other dogs and not try to attack them every time they walk by. He spent 7 weeks with my "dorkie" and I will forever be grateful for that time away from him because it now brings us more joy to be around cooper in public with other people and dogs. We had a fantastic experience with Mark and On Command K9 Academy and hands down he is the best trainer out there. With over 30 years of experience working with animals/dogs we found Mark to be extremely knowledgeable and incredibly effective in his approach. We can absolutely see the results with our rescue dog. After three weeks of in boarding training, we had ongoing private training sessions at our home to reinforce handling and training skills. He was amazing not just with our dog but with us too, really helping us instill manners, responsiveness, and an appropriate owner/dog relationship. He made sure that we understood what he was demonstrating and he really helped us understand what we should be doing to continue getting the results we were looking for. Mark did a great job with our lab/pit mix. He charged us a set rate and took her in for longer than expected so he could give her what she needs. Khloe was one of his most challenging dogs. She was fearfully aggressive towards humans and other dogs. She had a lot of anxiety. She was a rescue and was going to be put down before she was rescued .She only would let my husband and I in the house otherwise she would growl /possibly attack anyone else. Mark has taught us the techniques of changing each experience to a positive one and building trust between us and khloe which in turn helped gain trust with others. We have had 3 roommates since khloe being sent to boot camp ! With each training experience with a new person, the time for Khloe to be comfortable with them becomes a lot faster. Right now with about 30 minutes or less of training between our dog and new person in the house, she is comfortable enough to roam around the house with the new guest! Our roommates even can pet her for a second which we never expected she would like from anyone else but us! We now have 10 people we are fully confident she is fine with in the house! It would be more but we just don’t spend the time with everyone doing training bc we just put her away . We also just got a new roommate a week ago who had a dog ! We declined her initially because we thought her dogs wouldn’t work. With using marks, techniques , within 3 days, our dogs are playing in the backyard together! She even let teddy come in the house and they seem to be co-existing fine ! It hasn’t even been a full week of them meeting! We used marks techniques and tips and I would highly recommend Mark! October 2007 I hired Mark to train my puppy. I have been blessed to have such a professional work my chocolate lab and work with me training us both. I have referred Mark over the years to friends looking for trainers and will continue to do so. I was impressed with the bond Mark creates with the animals he trains. Mark is an outstanding dog trainer! He is exceptionally professional and has the ability to connect with both the pet and its owner. Mark took our 18 month old Irish Golden Doodle for a two-week intensive training at his facility, where he worked with her several times a day for 10-15 minute periods. Afterwards, he came to our house once a week for follow-up training (people + dog). Lucy learned all the basic behavior commands and how to relax around new people and dogs. She is a joy to walk -- no pulling on the leash, good greetings -- and is much better behaved around the house -- no table cruising or grabbing of pillows.The transformation has been superb. Thanks to Mark Jacobs and On Command K-9, our new rescue Harley went from being a leash aggressive bully with no clue to what a command was, to a loving and obedient family member in only a few lessons! Mark has provided us the tools we need to understand why Harley does what he does and how to counter-act his negative behavior in a constructive, positive way. I have a sweet but oddly aggressive dog I adopted. Not understanding his mixed breed background, I felt extremely frustrated even with basic obedience training on my own. He was just all over the place and not consistent in his behaviors/responses. Mark came and evaluated him and told me what I could expect in the weeks to come. I got my yellow lab, Major at 8 weeks old. I was working a lot and he was growing fast . I hired a trainer who used electric collars, but after a few lessons my dog would run from him. My girl friend at the gym suggested Mark from On Command K9 Academy, he had trained her pit bull. I called hi, and he came over the next day. He was calm, positive and explained what needed to be done. He took Major to his facility for 17 days. My monster came back a calm, obedient dog who loved his trainer.
