Forget best gyros in Steamboat, this may be the best gyro in Colorado, and certainly the best I have ever eaten anywhere, ever, in life. Pita crisped to perfection, lamb seared but not dry AT ALL, and perfectly proportioned with lots of flavor. I visit Steamboat 6-8 times a year to fish and for business and I am always looking for great food options here. Today I found my new favorite place to eat, hands down! We came back to eat here twice and will definitely stop by again when we're in Steamboat! They have great gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options! I got the chicken shawarma plate the first time and the falafel plate the second time. They were both amazing!! I think my favorite might be the dolmas. I could eat a whole dozen of them!! I have eaten at this local establishment several times. Always delicious with very friendly people that work there. I got the Greek fries and the Gyro. The Gyro was huge and so yummy! Yum. Just yum. This little gem of a place was awesome. I thought I took a photo of the menu, but sadly did not. So I don't remember the name of the two choices my daughter and I ordered. My daughter got the first gyro on the menu, only with lamb (a suggested option from the guy working the counter which was a win for my her, she loves lamb in her gyros!). I ordered the next item down which was essentially a falafel gyro with a lemon-mint sauce if my memory serves correctly.Both our meals were fantastic. The gentleman helping us offered his suggestions and was super helpful and friendly. The food was thoughtfully prepared not just thrown together. Yet, we didn't wait long at all for our food. This was probably the best food we ate during our brief stay in Steamboat. Cost was reasonable, too! Highly recommend! More...

Three words:Oh. My. Gosh. As soon as you walk in, you know it's good. Not only does it have a unique basement vibe to it, the lady at the counter was SO friendly! I told her it was my first time and she recommended the Spartan. Absolutley amazing. Meat was juicy, onions were crunchy, and sauce was bangin. Great Greek food, at a cozy subterranean restaurant. We had a dog with us, and the outdoor seating allowed us to have our sofa with us for lunch.
