The setup of the restaurant was so nice☺ The vibe was everything they had nice music playing, while the football game was playing. And let's not forget the FOOD!!!! I got the shrimp and grits AMAZING!!! with a side of mac and cheese with steamed broccoli😋❤ And for my husband he got the fried whiting fish with a side of mac and cheese and the sweet potatoes. Delicious soul food! Generous portions! It is hard to find good shrimp and grits in our area but we found them at Skillet 2 Plate Soul Bistro! Literally felt like I could die and go to food heaven. First, let me just say everyone in Skillet2Plate was super friendly. We didn't think we would have time to sit in and dine so we ordered take out. The menu had a variety of options which made it hard to choose (not really complaining there lol) We ordered and while we waited for our food our son played with another child there and the atmosphere was so inviting and positive. Upon heading to the car we could immediately smell the food and it was already at that point so enticing. When we got home.. let me tell you.. I stole one of those parental right bites of food from my sons Mac n cheese as I handed it to him and it was some of the best I had in a long time, and my finace and I were hype to actually try our own food. I got the brisket bowl, and and my finace got the chicken bowl and every.single.bite was so delicious ya'll. if you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out. Abusive staff.. got yelled at for simply approaching counter let someone know I was there for a food pick up.. guy in a booth abruptly told me to “go to waiting area”. .then a fiery young woman comes storming up to me yelling at me for not following their rules..berating me like I was 2 years old..NEVER will I set foot in this place again and will tell all I know to go elsewhere..pride and arrogance define this place..extremely disrespectful More...
