When we found Christina, we thought we were going to have to find a new home for two sibling canine sisters, that we had adopted from an animal shelter. Bella and Maggie had been picked up as strays, were high heartworm positive, and had zero social skills. Once the heart worms were taken care of, we started the process of learning to live with humans. House breaking, learning that we weren’t out to hurt them, learning to ride in vehicles were challenges, but fairly easy. Being around other people and animals was a very different story. We are avid campers and liked to take the “girls” and our other rescued dog on walks. This was an impossible task to begin with. After a year or two, life with the “girls” had gotten fairly easy. One night, out of the blue, the “girls” got into a major fight. Both dogs were injured, Maggie required surgery. A month after the fight, we weren’t able to have the “girls” in the same room together. Another fight was always one distraction away. Everyone, including our vet and a dog behavior specialist at a major university, said we would probably never be able to let the “girls” live together again. We were devistated but unwilling to give up on the “girls”. We called Christina and a few other dog training organizations. The others were either too busy or said that there was nothing that they could do to help with this situation. Christina said she could help. This may have been the understatement of the year! Not only have we returned to a normal life, or at least as normal of a life one can have with three dogs in the house, for the first time since adopting the girls, we can go out in public with no concern. No more avoiding meeting people or dogs, no more rushing away from noisy or extremely active situations, NO CONCERNS being in public. If I am ever asked for a recommendation for a dog trainer, without any hesitation, I will enthusiastically recommend Christina! Christina is FANTASTIC!!!! Can I post a 10 star rating?
