Oh my goodness I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this experience was for us. My husband and I have a 13 year old Maltese and I brought in 2 Havachon pups who were out of control. Our training was just this morning and I cannot believe what a peaceful home we now have. It is amazing! Before this training session, we had to keep the dogs separated and they were constantly jumping and barking. I just can't believe how fast and easy this was. Mary Ellen came to the house to meet Remington. She is definitely a dog person. She was amazing with Remmy. The biggest part is that we have an adult Boxer that is scared of everyone. Mary Ellen was fantastic. I highly would recommend. My boyfriend and I recently got a 4 month old puppy who was giving us some trouble with training. Before she even walked in the door she started the training. She was knowledgeable and not only did she teach my dogs basic training but taught us how to continue the training. She also made time to help us with our second dog who is 5 years old and is having a harder time adjusting to having a puppy run around the house. She gave us hope that we’ll be able to get over these obstacles with the puppy. It’s been a few days now and wow the difference is crazy! I have had dogs all of my life and I"m almost 68 yrs old so thats alot of doggies. I just had a jaw dropping experience with an amazing dog trainer named Mary Ellen from SIT HAPPENS DOG TRAINING. I recently adopted a beautiful little pup from the pound in Pinellas county . She is now 6 months old and quite a handful. Since most of the dogs Ive rescued in the past were older they seemed calmer. Since this was a younger dog she had a lot to learn and so did I about behavior that wasnt acceptable such as her jumping up on everyone which is not safe especially for my little grandson and elderly people as she is almost 45 lbs and getting very tall. I expressed my concerns to Mary Ellen and she was very kind, caring and supportive and said no worries we can fix that right away. I was blown away , in less than an hour my rambunctious pup, who by the way, my friends said to rehome her as I picked the wrong dog for me. Well, my heart knows best, and I watched Mary Ellen transform her negative behavior with positive and firm direction into a confident and obedient pup that now understands that commands such as off and down are just as important to me as sit and stay. Not only has Nelly been trained properly I have too. She now responds to visual and auditory commands with ease. Im still seeing stars as Ive never seen anything like this in such a short period of time so were giving SIT HAPPENS DOG TRAINING and the awesome Mary Ellen trainer 100 stars and I truly recommend this company as the BEST in their field. Mary Ellen of SIT Happens came last night to my daughter’s house to teach us how to teach my grand dog Max. He is a sweet but sometimes stubborn 13 month old mini golden doodle. She connected quickly with him, as well as the whole family! She has a great sense of humor, and we all had fun too. In about an hour she taught the basics, like Watch me, Come and Sit, as well as other tips. My daughter put him through the training as Mary Ellen supervised.
