Tina and the other trainers have been tremendously helpful in providing the best obedience training for my new puppy! I am beyond happy to have chosen Sit Happens to teach my dog proper behaviors.

If you have recently rescued or purchased a new dog then do yourself a favor and sign up with Tina & Sit Happens! I recently got a new puppy and they have shaped her training and development to fit her personality and motivation. Tina has provided really useful information that has minimized behavioral issues as well as helped me to become a more confident pet parent. More...

Athens Georgia is so lucky to have this caliber of dog trainer to help us dog owners have rewarding relationships with our dogs. Tina Spring and Sit Happens dog training have helped me with my dogs for a couple of years.I’ve taken the basic clicker class with Sit Happens as a way to address communicating with my massive Mastiff.I have also needed Tina‘s help in incorporating a small child into the family. Tina’s practical problem-solving solutions have been invaluable.I have trained my dogs with multiple dog trainers and would say that Tina offers far more then training. So if you just got a dog, are only just thinking about adding one to your family, or like me had dogs and then had a child Tina is a great resource. More...

Tina Spring has helped us so much with our 4 island rescues. She has taught us how to read their body language, how to respond and they are so much more relaxed. We still have work to do with the dogs, but following her advice has made a huge difference. Highly recommend Sit Happens. More...

Tina is an exceptional person with an incredible talent. Our family enlisted her help both for individual behavior training and as part of a dog training course for multiple participants. In both cases, Tina's expert guidance has worked wonders for our dog and our family's ability to better understand, communicate with, and meet the unique needs of our pup. There is really no way I can recommend Sit Happens highly enough. More...

First of all, Tina is absolutely amazing! She has been working with my parents, their rescued Great Dane, my 4 yr old son, my rescued Pitbull/Boxer mix, and me for the past few months. I've never worked with someone who's paid as much attention to, and has shown as much care and concern for my son and his well being. She has taught and provided all of us with many tools and resources on how to keep my son safe around our dogs, while still keeping him involved with their progress, as well as maintaining a healthy relationship with them. He gets so excited when its time for Tina to come to our house because he knows that she really cares, and she makes sure he knows that he has a very important role to play in the training with both dogs. It is so much more than just training your dog with her. It's also about training yourself to be able to identify signs and behavior with your dog. Before Tina came, I had no idea how stressed and anxious my 4 legged bestie was. Now, I am able to better identify stressful situations, know what to do to be able to calm the stress and anxiety, and help my fur kid have a healthier and much more enjoyable life. All in all, I would highly recommend Tina to anyone in need of help or guidance with their dog(s)...especially, if a child is involved. She is the best, by far! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. More...

I would highly recommend Tina and Sit Happens for anyone that is looking to enjoy a happy and balanced life with their canine companion. My experience with the ‘puppy class’ was excellent. Tina’s training and coursework assisted with crate training difficulties, basic obedience, and a plethora of unwanted behaviors. She goes above and beyond to provide online readings, videos, Facebook posts, and detailed responses to email inquiries. My experience with the ‘clicker course’ has been similarly fantastic; I always appreciate that Tina is willing to extend the time of the lesson for questions and doesn’t hesitate to stay behind to help for those that are struggling. It is clear that she is primarily concerned with the quality of the course and not the time on the clock. I’m more than pleased with the results of working with Tina & apprentices through both classes. If you are looking for a trainer that is both effective and passionate about their work, Tina will more than exceed your expectations. More...

The Sit Happens staff and Tina have changed our lives! When we brought our 6 month old puppy home he was terrified of everything! We couldn't even go on walks because just getting past our driveway was too scary. We noticed a big difference in his behavior after the first 2 classes! We were so happy with the results that we have since done pretty much every class Tina offers and Henderson is now officially a canine good citizen! If you just want your dog to learn to sit and stay you can go to any dog training class, however, if you want to learn how to teach and communicate with your dog you need to see Tina! The personal help and attention she gave us was really a giant help. She even answered a frantic call at 10pm when our dog attempted to eat a frog and started foaming at the mouth! As a result of Tina's class I know have a 2 year old dog who comes when called, walks politely on a leash, waits at the door and waits for his food. Most importantly though, I have a dog that I can communicate with and understand (most of the time, but when I'm not sure I STILL call Tina!). Some say Tina is a little quirky (hello, she's a dog wizard), but she's from up north bless her heart ;) In case you can't tell from my rant, we couldn't recommend Sit Happens more! More...

Tina is gifted as a trainer and I have been through her puppy classes but I appreciate most her insight in dealing with other people’s animals. My job requires me working in people’s homes and I am often confronted by dogs of all breeds that do not understand my presence. Tina has trained me to recognize distress signals and how to make myself less of a threat in their environment. So, I guess she trained me. Anyway, she is brilliant and fun to work with and I haven’t had a bite in over three years. Yeah, it was a problem. Thanks Tina! More...

We've had 3 of our dogs go through several of Tina's (the owner of Sit Happens) classes, as well as had some private instruction. A better trainer doesn't exist- neither for a dog or their humans! She understands dog behavior, cues, and what to do about all of it better than anyone I've ever even heard of, and she's incredibly gifted- genius even- as she takes the time you need to make sure you understand and know how to apply the information in ways that make sense for you. You're guaranteed to learn something new even if you've been around dogs all your life! Her knowledge is mind-boggling- as well as her creativity! She has a very positive, fun approach not only in her incredible sense of humor, personable nature, and down-to-earth attitude, but in how she very patiently and warmly deals with each person's unique situation and in how she does her overall training.
