Stoped by with my sister for some after dinner dessert and drinks - We we're celebrating her birthday. The place was great and really laid back. They were playing music from the 90's-2000's, it had the majority of us singing along - the drinks helped with that. The deserts were Sinfully delicious. I love the fact they recommend drinks to be paired with each desert. I ordered Lust (Espresso cake)and it was severed with a Japanese coffey negroni (Japanese whisky, creme de cocoa, espresso infused dry vermouth) - the perfect pair. The drink really helped to cut though the sweetness of the cake. I also tired a cookie (cowboy cookie I think) - holy s**t I almost bought the entire cookie jar. We both absolutely loved this place. Can't wait to visit again. More...

I was in Rhode Island for a work trip and my best friend and I had a sweet tooth...We found this place on Yelp (obviously). We showed up and the staff originally did not want to open the door to us due to there being a closed event happening when we showed up - but they let us in anyway. How nice! They really didn't have to do that. Perhaps the hypoglycemia was glimmering in our eyes and they knew we needed sugar STAT! We accidentally took a little longer than expected picking out what we wanted because there was such a variety of cookies and cupcakes and cakes and treats and we couldn't pick :-( - I think the staff were a little annoyed but they didn't show it. They were super nice and cracking jokes with us the whole time and the people who were there for the event barely paid attention to us. They were drinking, talking, and completely unbothered. GREAT! So long story short, we ended up leaving with two full boxes of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies. Several different flavors for each.So when we got back to my hotel we had one cupcake each. And possibly a cookie...or two.How many actually doesn't even matter. The point is - they were delicious and well worth crashing a private event andddd I would definitely recommend you going if you haven't tried Sin already.Thank you Alex and Jason for not getting sick of us and allowing us into the shop for treats. You guys are really awesome! More...

Great post dinner joint! Decadent desserts and unique cocktails! Staff is friendly and engaging. I just have one request.. .Irish coffee was great, but in a glassware with a handle would be even better. Grabbing a glass with no handle and hot coffee was not pleasant and by the time we got to drink them they were warm. But seriously, highly recommend! More...

Love this place but wish I had known of it sooner---I have driven by so many times but there is no name or anything indicating it is a coffee shop! ! The cake with devil horns on the sign is intriguing but neither I nor many I Â have spoken to knew what the storefront was. Great coffee, amazing pastries which change day to day (largest assortment of pastries I have ever seen in a coffee shop), mellow vibe and friendly staff. Awesome place...just put the name out front somewhere! More...

Tasty. We spent our afternoon visit trying different cupcakes and also had some savory baked goods as well. I especially like the Funfetti cake, it's thicker than you would expect but the flavor was amazing. My husband had an amazing scone (I tried some) and it was crunchy on the outside, but oh so delicate on the inside. Definitely a pleasant first for us. The interior was pleasant, open and inviting. We will visit again. More...

Second time visiting this place on the same weekend and the gluten free carrot and mango cupcake is to blame! The frosting is decadent without that pure sugar and butter taste. The cake portion is moist with real chunks of carrot and mango. We also tried the flourless ricotta hazelnut and chocolate cake which was good but again the prize goes to the carrot and mango cupcake. They have a wide variety of gluten free options which is great for me. The staff is very helpful and friendly. As an added bonus they serve alcoholic beverages which I haven't tried there yet but may have to next time with another round of that carrot and mango cupcake haha. More...

If you're a cupcake person, the vegan Vietnamese coffee cupcake was very yummy! The tiramisu that my friend got, however, wasn't even really tiramisu (oddly crunchy?) and it was kinda disappointing.

We had Sin do our wedding cupcakes on September 1st and they did an amazing job. Â We got four different cupcakes and one small cake for us to cut. Â Â They came with a cupcake stand and got everything set up and I had to return the stand after the weekend. Â Thank you very much for great service! Abby and the whole team at Sin did a fantastic job for my daughter's Coco inspired birthday cake. The attention to details, the colors were everything I had pictured! Abby was kind enough to speak with me (when i dropped by without an appointment) to discuss the details of the cake design and flavor and even gave me a sample of the vanilla cake with sprinkles she 'messed' up (which tasted amazing btw). I took off one star because the raspberry buttercream filling I requested was a let down as you could not taste any hint of berries at all. The baker and I had also agreed to do a mixed filling of ganache and buttercream but there was no ganache. Having said that, the cake itself was nice and moist and not sickly sweet. I just wish the filling was as good as the cake. Otherwise I would definitely order from Sin again :) More...

I used Sin bakery for my wedding in August and they did a good job on the cupcakes and the 6 inch cake. However I emailed a few days before my wedding date requesting signs for the different cupcake flavors. I was assured there would be signs but when my husband and I did our first look we noticed no signs. So when it was dessert time we received a lot of questions about what flavors each cupcake was. After searching for a bakery who had amazing fondant work, and not hearing back from at least three I contacted, I stumbled upon Sin. I had them create a 3D cake of my boyfriend doing a rear naked choke on Conor McGregor inside of an MMA ring. I was so happy with the outcome! Since I had waited to hear back from so many other bakeries, they were only left with a week to make my cake. I guess the second time is a charm! The first we came here, I found the bartender fairly obnoxious and unnecessarily pretentious; the service and baked goods were okay. However, last night spun that experience in a 180. The guy who helped us was hilarious and speedy - he gave some good recommendations, too. The baked goods - vegan coconut cupcakes and a passion fruit scone - were incredible! On our way out, I turned to my wife and said "wow, that was different!" While sometimes heavy-handed, Sin is a delightful West Side alternative to the classic Pastiche, with a comprehensive menu of desserts complimented by coffee or wine/beer options. Their chocolate bourbon cake is outstanding and definitely worth a taste. The coffee is good, and they have a small but sufficient offering of alcoholic beverages if that's more your style. I've always been happy with my cake choices at Sin, and the name couldn't be more fitting. They are incredibly decadent, and not for the faint of heart. Personally, I love to get a dessert and stretch it out over a few days. One small tip though - they have a funfetti cake that is good, but it's basically a dense vanilla cake with sprinkles inside. If the true funfetti experience is what you want, swing by the grocery store for the boxed mix instead :) More...

Went here last night for dessert as I was craving a Black Forest. Upon arrival, they didn't have it as they only had Valentines Day specials. We ordered the red wine creme brûlée and red velvet cupcake. The brûlée wasn't bad along with the truffles. The red velvet was a disappointment as the cake was too dense. I think it was chilled a tad too long but the frosting wasn't bad. I need to go back and try that Black Forest. The staff was super pleasant as well and the ambiance wasn't bad. More...

WHERE HAS THIS PLACE BEEN HIDING? It's no sin to love a bakery called Sin, especially when they make such heavenly pastries and desserts, and have some of the friendliest baristas in the business manning the counter with a smile and engaging conversation as well. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this place after attending a flea market down the street at Ogie's Trailer Park restaurant. My boyfriend and I like to think of ourselves as quirky, lovable goth kids, so of course we were drawn in by the logo glowing red on the sign outside: a three layered cake with devil horns. Intriguing! We stepped inside to find not the hellscape we were expecting, but instead an inviting and sparkling clean cafe that features a wide array of delectable delights, like house made cinnamon rolls, seasonal macarons, and several different kinds of cupcakes in a large case for optimal viewing while you make the impossible decision of what to choose, cafe drinking featuring homemade syrups (check out the smoked honey syrup to add a kick to your coffee or tea!), and a bar that stays open from five PM onward to give night owls a little bit more stimulation than caffeine can provide with craft beers and creative, seasonal cocktails. While we had to run off to dinner plans and unfortunately couldn't stay to taste one of the fancier plated desserts on the "Seven Deadly Sins" inspired menu, we did split a fantastic chocolate buttercream frosted cupcake with whimsical marzipan devil horns atop it. Not only did it make for a great Instagram photo, it was also quite tasty, especially the frosting. God, I'd eat a bowl of that stuff alone! I also got a hot cup of Apple Berry tea, and my boyfriend got a simple but well made cup of coffee. They use Mem Tea and New Harvest Coffee (made in Providence!), so you know you're getting quality. The baristas, Mikey and Katie, made the experience even better, with great customer service and sparkling conversation. They're fabulous, and tell them Morgan and Gary sent you if you go in! We are so happy to have had the serendipitous fortune to find Sin, and look forward to returning to sample more of their tantalizing treats! More...

This place was recommended by a friend of mine that lives LITERALLY down the street. I am a pastry chef (from out of town) one of my bestest friends is expecting so, yay baby shower! This meant I had to be in charge of the sweets table (I am very picky and a bit snobby when it comes to sweets). This little gem right here is truly the best bakery in Providence... AND it's open til late! What coffee shop do you know closes at 11pm? Besides the fact that their operating hours are awesome; they did an AMAZING JOB on my order. When i walked in, i was welcomed by the barista and they quickly took my order. The gloss on the key lime tart was just winking at me through the counter so i had to try it, it. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Perfect combination of sweetness and tartness, the meringue has THE perfect crunch... and the crust, that crust was so crumbly and so good. Back to my babyshower order: I had very high expectations of the cake and the cupcakes, and they were truly everything i expected. I've had a fair share of places where i was very disappointed on a simple order, and the fact that I'm very picky and criticize a whole lot doesn't help. Needles to say, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I had a customized flavored cake (chocolate with dulce de leche buttercream- not on their menu, but they made it, just for us! - talk about great customer service ) Also ordered BLUE VELVET CUPCAKES (also not on their menu but they accommodated...ALSO DELICIOUS) I seriously cannot thank them enough for making our event that much sweeter.THANK YOU SIN STAFF! Looking for a wedding cake in Providence? I wasn't but I got one!I had given up on even having a cake after speaking with several bakeries. My plan was to just buy several cakes from a preferred bakery that doesn't do wedding cakes....As luck would have it, my daughter mentioned that Sin has coconut cake to die for. Â Within 5 minutes, online, I ordered my cake. Â They were very fast in responding, I'm getting my dream cake at a very reasonable price (I love cake but not at $10.00 and up per slice as was quoted by other cake providers), reasonable delivery fee to the wedding venue of $25! Â I did not need want an elaborate cake, just a simple three tiered coconut cake. Sin not only agreed to do it quickly, but didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want or need. For me ordering my wedding cake was indeed a piece of cake. Pun intended. Â I will upload a photo of the cake after the wedding. Â To do so during would be inconsiderate to my guests but I have no doubt it will be perfect! More...

What a lovely local coffeeshop!! I had no idea it existed until I got a nift gift, and I'm so glad I did! Now I go there quite a bit. It has a great ambience, nice lighting for meeting with friends or getting work done (until they put on mood lighting for dinner), had free wifi, and sometimes has free samples! They have different flavors of coffee if you want to add that- the lavender is really good but also super sweet (I usually drink my coffee black though). They also have great pastries! Their tea is a bit pricey ($3 for a cup of tea?!), so I would probably give 4.5 stars because of that but I also know that local coffee shops need to generate revenue. Other than that I don't have any complaints! More...
