Simply Jerk Jamaican Grill

Here at Simply Jerk Jamaican Grill, they do not jerk around. I love me some Jamaican food. I did takeout and my customized meal allowed me to choose ONE protein (Jerk Wings) and TWO sides (Plantains and Jerk Vegetables). I was surprised that there were six generous wings. First bite of these grilled tasty spiced wings had me wanting to tear the delicious meat off the bones in a very unladylike way. Forget the fork, just go at it. The Jerk Vegetables had a nice crunch and were very fresh. I had a nickname growing up that my mom gave me because I love eating rice so much. Every night I would eat two bowls of rice. These days I limit it to a small portion. But when places serve rice with herbs, spices, butter, veggies, or simmered in broth, I can eat it up like nobody's business. I chose Rice & Peas with my Jerk Wings meal and I could not get enough of it. It was so flavorable and perfectly fluffy. All three of these components in that takeout container made for a very delicious and satisfying $9.41 (plus tax) lunch.I'm going to be a regular here and look forward to trying some of their other dishes. They're in a plaza off the turnpike on a semi-industrial road, across from a UPS depot. Well worth the trip! Their patties are flaky, well-stuffed, and probably the best ones in the area. I used to stop in whenever I was in the area but after my experience I will not be returning. I ordered a veggie burger which is $10. 95 and comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and fries. I also ordered festival, two spinach patties and a coconut cake. Almost $30 worth of food. The young lady from the kitchen (who had too much attitude) informed me they were out of tomatoes and they can swap that portion of my order for something else. So, I ordered the curry shrimp instead which is $13.95. The cashier tells me she'll have to charge me the $3 difference. I mentioned to her that I shouldn't be charged since they ran out of a item from my original order. She then doubles down on the fact that they can't be flexible. I requested either accommodate me or refund my entire order. They chose to refund myEntire order. So instead of compromising on $3...you lost $30. "Great" customer service. I always order from SImply Jerk and the food was always good but today they forgot to give me one beef patty. I ordered and paid for 2 but they only gave one. The only meal I use to order from Simply Jerk is the jerk chicken and Shrimp salad. It's Good, but overpriced And they almost always seem to get it wrong. Online orders or phone orders.mising dressing, wrong dressing, no utensils, or worse you get charge for Chicken & Shrimp but only received Shrimp.I had a terrible experience there today, and the owner was not even trying to help. After receiving my order, I dec to check to make sure they didn't mess up my order. Half of my chicken and Shrimp fell on the table In the process because the container is not sturdy.I was told I would have to order a new meal. I asked for the person in charge.The owner came out and I explained how in the past they've gotten my order wrong, so I was making sure this time everything was there. He insisted that I pick up the chicken off the table and Basically was unhelpful until I said he would loose me as a customer. He left came back with additional chicken for my salad And said that's the best he could do.I will never order from them again. Truth be told my Husbands family is from Jamaica, the food is not even that great.
