I first contacted Nick because over the past year or 2 I became extremely out of shape, unhealthy, and overweight to the point of having health issues at only 33 years old.
I was extremely nervous about personal training, but Nick's approach and demeanor has made me look forward to my exercise - something I never though I would do.
Nick personalized my fitness routine and nutrition based on my goals, needs, and abilities. He is very science-based in everything he does and avoids fad diets and trends, instead offering exercises and nutrition tips that are proven to be highly efficient to maximize progress. His approach feels more life a whole life change, as I see myself viewing eating and exercise much differently now.
After only the first month and 2x per week sessions, I have seen and felt dramatic progress. Not only do my muscles feel stronger and my body is leaner, but my stamina has greatly increased and I am able to do things that I haven't been able to do in a long time (like hiking and 5 hour long shopping trips). I also love the fact that he offers a place to workout because I'm not particularly comfortable working out in front of strangers at the park or gym.
Overall, I don't think I could have chosen a better trainer than Nick, and I highly recommend him to anyone at any fitness level.

After three months of working with Nick I highly recommend him as a personal trainer. Going in, I had never done weight training of any kind and was a little intimidated.
Nick really breaks down the "how" and "why" of fitness and totally demystifies the whole training process. We started off with a discussion where we identified my fitness goals, assessed where I was at, and crafted a workout plan that caters to exactly what I want to work on. I ask a lot of questions and he always has thought-out answers as to why we do the exercises we do and how things should feel.
Nick is personable, fun, and easy to talk to. He makes me feel strong and validates my progress even on days when I'm not setting records. His hyper-focus on safety is very assuring. Nick also provides great advice for structuring my diet other habits that can accompany our training.
I've already made significant progress: I'm definitely looking more muscular than when I started, and am moving a lot more weight across the board in every exercise. I recently got my first "You been working out?" from someone who had no idea I'd been training!
"I love working out" has never been my mantra, but Nick has helped me establish a regular fitness routine, see physical results, and given me a focused fitness routine that will let me continue to grow, with or without a trainer.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Part of my training philosophy is that fitness is very individual. Each program I make for a client is uniquely tailored to them.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Understanding that the right/wrong, binary way of thinking that is popular in fitness is counterproductive. The science is far more nuanced than that.
What do you love most about your job?
The lasting positive impacts that will follow me into my old age.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working at a commercial gym for a time, I realized training privately is more beneficial for both myself and my clients in terms of both results and cost.
Why should our clients choose you?
Not only is my style of training the most up-to-date, due to the amount of contemporary research I do on my own time, it's also a more flexible and pragmatic style of training that clients can easily learn to do on their own.

I am open to remote training, but generally advocate for in-person training if possible, given the visceral benefits of being in-person.
