Latest Update: David's team came on Saturday and completed the job for us!  Our irrigation system is working amazingly, the guys who came out worked hard and did an awesome job with the lawn renovation.  They even went above and beyond by taking out some grass  near the house and making way for new garden beds to go.  I am so excited to see the grass start to grow over the next few weeks!  Thank you for coming through for us Simple Lawns.  I will update with pictures in the next few weeks. UPDATE: David reached out and explained about the mistake he made with filing my paperwork, as well as not wanting to respond on weekends (which I totally understand).  He has scheduled his crew to come out in the next week and do what he said...I appreciate him so much making it right. I will further update my review as soon as they follow through.  Original Post: I had such high hopes for this company as the reviews were absolutely awesome.  I first contacted them, along with several other companies, in early March to see about them giving me an estimate for a lawn renovation of my front and back yard and replacing the controller for my irrigation system.  David responded quickly and made an appointment to come out and meet with me.  He ended up being there about 30/40 minutes early and tried calling, but I was still at work at that time.  He walked around and looked by himself, then called me to let me know through voicemail that he would get the estimate to me based on what he had seen.  I was there at the scheduled time, but he had already left so I didn't get to ask him the specific questions I wanted.  When I brought that up, he said that he would be happy to come back out and chat with me in a week's time because he was going on vacation.  I was happy to wait since everyone deserves a vacation, but a week and a half went by and I still hadn't heard from him. I reached out and we eventually met up at my house and went over everything I wanted.    He explained how the lawn renovation worked with great detail and answered all my questions, making sure that I knew that it was not a guarantee that the renovation would work.  He also explained that if that didn't work, he and his crew could take out the lawn and put sod down.  I wanted to try the lawn renovation first, but I appreciated the offer of sod and knowing that it was an option if the renovation didn't work. He then said that he would go ahead and schedule me for the irrigation repair since we should get it done before starting on the lawn. I agreed and he said that he could get someone out the second to last week of April or at latest the last week of April.  I was completely fine with that and asked him to get me the estimate for everything else so I could get it approved to get on the schedule. He said he would get it to me that Friday and be in contact within a few weeks to schedule. After contacting him multiple times for the estimate (through text and finally email with the owner), he finally sent it to me on April 11.  I looked it over, and approved parts of it the same day...but it had an estimate for sod, which was not something my husband and I wanted at that point.  I responded to the email letting him know that we wanted to go forward with the lawn renovation but not the sod.  I requested that he put us on the schedule so that we can get moving on our lawn.  It has now been a full month and 7 days since I have heard from him.  He never reached out about getting me scheduled for irrigation, never sent a crew to start spraying for weeds and moss like he said, and never responded to my email about the estimate.  I tried texting him last week asking for an update, but he still has not responded to that.  He seemed very nice and I was excited to work with him and this company to make my lawn look like it used to (before the irrigation system broke and moss/weeds took over).  I am still waiting as I know this is an extremely busy time of year for lawn companies....but over a month with no communication and no response to my email/texts is very disappointing.  It is especially disappointing since I told other companies "no" back in March to work with Simple Lawns...and now those companies are completely booked and do not have time to do anything with my lawn until late July/early August which will be too late in the year. Simple Lawns did such a good job on our backyard! We installed turf and they made sure to keep us updated every step of the way. Even during their busy season, we let them know we had an event planned in our yard and they worked so hard to make sure it was done in time!! Solomon and another worker did our yard and were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend using Simple Lawns! More...

I had them redo my yard 2 years ago. It turned out great. They came back yesterday to refresh the bark. The crew was very professional and cleaned up very well after themselves.

Update: Vitaly (owner) came by and apologized for the problems and promised to fix them. He acknowledged the issues should never have happened and quickly sent our crews to clean up the back yard and the low voltage electrical, added a light to fill in the gap in the front and put a fake rock over the exposed electrical for the septic pump. He also provided free maintenance for a month and everything looks great. I appreciate Vitaly coming and rectifying the problems! More...

I had trees transplanted, a concrete patio taken out and a new expanded flagstone patio installed along with a gorgeous pergola. In other words...a pretty big job. And if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. This team was fantastic. They arrived when they say they would and worked their hearts out when they were here. They were courteous, thorough, and go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. More...

Very happy with the work they do! Five stars for communication, professionalism, and end results. We had sod put in, but are hiring them again immediately for other projects on our property.

Worst $35,000 I ever spent. See photos below. I purchased this house in March 2020 and wanted a landscaping design overhaul and thought the reviews for Simple Lawns looked good. For me this was a fail.First, the things I think are REALLY bad. I have a septic tank under the mound in the front and it has all been working fine. Well when these guys built up the hill and put new plants in they completely buried the electrical boxes under ground and once the irrigation started it tripped the breaker for the septic pump which in turn triggered the very loud septic alarm. I was out of town and it woke my neighbor who had to walk next door to silence the alarm and another neighbor, fearing there was a water leak, came over and shut off the water. Since I was out of town and had no way of knowing what was happening I mentioned to David who insisted nothing they did could cause the problem. A few hundred dollars later I had a septic service come and they dug up the boxes and informed me of the problem. I was furious and David seemed unfazed and acted like it was my problem. I asked how he thinks it's EVER OK to bury live AC receptacles and plugs and after complaining they came and dug them up and raised them above ground. David never offered to pay for the septic service call. That was in the September. Then in my annual septic inspection a couple weeks ago the technician showed me the float had been completely bypassed because when they plugged in the pump they plugged it in the wrong place. So my pump has been running 24/7 from Sept to late December.  Next, I live on a very steep hill and made it clear I don't want to be down there weed eating because I have very poor balance. But the steepest part has no fabric so as you can see within a few short weeks that was pretty much filling up with grass and weeds so guess what I have been doing?  David's answer was to pay them a monthly "maintenance fee" because you can never stop weeds. He said these were blowing over the fabric. But the area below it that does have fabric has no weeds, and the area with all the weeks just has mesh for the ground cover. My neighbors have all been so appalled at this company I think they would cut the weeds themselves before letting me hire this company for any more work. This company has been humiliating to me. Then, they installed timers for lights and irrigation but at was never correct. Only some of the lights would come on and that was many hours after dark. They told me because of Covid the timers they could get were different than their normal timers and they were confusing to program. So I finally had to go on-line and find the programming manuals and program myself (they left me no manuals or any documentation). And, as you can see in the photos below they mounted the timer on the patio wall (I paid an electrician to put power there to make it easier for them) and I would have thought for aesthetics they would run the low voltage through PVC conduit but instead it's just this tacky wiring down the wall. Speaking of lights, they gave me multiple stories about lights. I found two big gaps in the lighting across the front and it looked unfinished at night and they said it was because they decided they needed a second one on the tree in the front, but there never was a second light there. And my main frustration here was the constant misrepresentation of the work they did and the lights they provided. I definitely felt lied to about these lights. Sadly there were early warning signs. They started by telling my wife and I this was a 3-4 week project but it was months, and they started in earnest 2.5 weeks later than they committed. They only work Monday-Thursday and for 90% of the time it was just two workers. They built a beautiful rock wall and stairway and the front yard all said and done looks good but the back is a mess and dangerous for me. My advice if you go with Simple Lawns:Get absolutely EVERYTHING In writing. They will charge you ~$1000 or more for a detailed drawing and I regret not doing it since their story kept changing in some areas. I recommend insisting on something that shows every light, every plant, bush, tree, irrigation head and what areas will have fabric to minimize weeds coming through.Get absolute timeline in writing unless you are in no hurry. In my case I had a bunch of other work to be done done on block walls and gates I could not complete until this work was completed. As a result of their work dragging out I missed those open construction windows and am still waiting on some of the fencing work. If you have timers insist on getting programming manuals. For $35K I shouldn't have to be going on-line to find these. By the way in the midst of dialog with David A about all my problems once they received their final check communication completely stopped. More...

I wanted to update my review.  The owner contacted me.  A very nice man. he explained that the irrigation person wasn't doing his job, which included making customer appointments and he has been fired.   The owner was very caring and conscientious, which i appreciated.   I contacted this company on August 27th to fix my irrigation system. I was told that it would be about 10-14 days to have someone come out and fix my irrigation system. I was told the price was $65 per hour, time and material per employee and a $130 service fee which included travel time and the first hour of work.  I told them that i needed to be there and i needed an appointment but I wanted to the work done.  I was told on August 27th that someone would call me shortly to set up an appointment.  I waited and waited, nothing.  On September 3rd, a week later, I wrote a message asking when someone would call to set up an appointment and no one has returned my message.  Someone probably in office needs to answer customers messages.  On September 9th, I wrote them not to bother.
