This is the first and only plan that really worked! The key is in the tracking...lost over 25 lbs in about 4 months without starving and this is the first year in a long, long time that my new years resolution had nothing to do with trying to lose weight! I enjoyed this book. It blends together all of the important aspects of a healthy fitness program and makes it easy by organizing everything in this book. It has meal prep suggestions, client success stories, and talks about how to stay motivated, and exercise quantity and frequency suggestions. Some information I didn't know was that eating fruit, which I had always heard was a very healthy source of dietary sugar, causes a large increase in blood sugar and shouldn't be consumed without a full serving of protein to prevent large spikes. Cathryn Marshall has a unique approach to motivating her clients and has only 2 Rules: Rule #1 is that "there is nothing you have to do!", which puts the responsibility of following their goals on the client and gives them a powerful sense of accomplishment when they follow through with their plan. Rule #2 is "Everything you think and say is having an effect" which essentially means if you have a positive outlook, then you will have positive results. Anyway , highly recommend this book because it's easy to read, informative but not too wordy, and lots of people say it works, but you be the judge. More...
