What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I think having a strong eye for details and being able to frame a clean composition goes a long way. The foundation of an eye-catching photograph is all in mastering the basics.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Having a clear understanding of my client's brand, business, and story is so important with my projects. Most photographers continuously shoot within their brand of style, I like my clients to be the main focus of the photographs. When people see a photo, they should want to learn more about the content not recognize the photographer behind the project.
With all that to be said, I love sitting down and getting to know my clients. If it's a commercial shoot, then what got you into this business? What made you choose the style of branding that your business communicates. What are your business' goals?

What do you love most about your job?
Working with other passionate creatives and business owners is one of the greatest thrills of my job. Every project is a chance to learn something new. Sometimes it's a crazy-themed shoot and sometimes it's business advice. At the end of the day, we're all in this together.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Sights and Souls was born out of a passion to capture the essence of individuals and their unique style. The brand quickly expanded to tell the stories of local creatives and business owners.
