I work close by & I've always seen this restaurant next door to my friend's donut  shop but had never tried it ‍ so finally decided to try it on my day off for early bird dinner with my wife & we weren't disappointed! The staff was really friendly & attentive. The food was delicious & also my margarita! The chicken piccata with the mashed potatoes & veggies also carrot soufflé were really good! The Caesar salad  was good also & lastly my espresso gelato was perfect to end my meal More...

Overall a good experience.  It was a little slow getting the bill at the end.  BUTThe food was good.  I had the French crepe and it was soooo soft and savory and layered with flavor despite its simplicity- crepe, ham, eggs, gruyère, chives. Hubby had the basic breakfast and it was good too. The pancakes are WAY better than the waffles though FYI (sorry Si Bon). Waffles were a little bread tasting. Which is why I gave the overall experience 4 stars. Worth a visit if your in the area though More...

A year ago I would have given Si Bon 6 stars!  Their food so delicious and cooked with care.  However the last time I ordered Schnitzel (my favorite dish), it had totally changed. No longer home made, delicately breaded, and fried to perfection (a truly unique experience), this time it looked and tasted like a frozen cardboard patty heavily breaded and reheated, like out of a bulk package.  I was so disappointed... In all fairness, from what I hear, the rest of the menu is great, but the Schnitzel they made was so wonderful, I can't go back until they return to their fine Belgian cooking. If I wanted heavily breaded Patties I could have gone to one of the other restaurants in the desert. More...

First time here tonight, no clue why I've never been here before. Excellent service & quaintly sophisticated atmosphere. We both opted for the Early Bird Specials that run until 5:30 during the week. The chicken piccata was delicious & the green beans that accompanied were cooked perfectly. I had the crème brûlée to finish which was creamy & delicious! The sangria was okay, I've had much better elsewhere. But overall, this was an excellent experience & meal. We'll definitely be back to try other things. More...

Mostly my review is for the service because it was above and beyond. From the moment we arrived we were treated like special guests- our children were spoken to by a lovely woman who I assume is the owner because she was so welcoming. Most restaurants only greet adults when we arrive- this was unique and a great start to our experience. The atmosphere was so nice on the patio and we were seated right away. It was our daughters birthday and everyone seemed to be greeting her with birthday wishes. The menu was perfect for brunch and served promptly. We felt relaxed throughout the meal. At the conclusion of our meal, our daughter was treated to the most delicious chocolate mousse I've ever tasted as a birthday treat on the house. Thank you for a lovely experience. We can't wait to visit again. My only wish- I would love if you offered a croque madame on bread instead of waffle - although the dish was very tasty, the waffle got soggy fairly quickly. I still ate every bite and enjoyed it though! More...

Definitely still need to save some room for the Belgian waffle for a sweet fix. Has a good size outdoor covered patio where dogs are very welcome.  Indoor seating area is nice with cute decor. My husband and I have been coming to Si Bon every time we are in the desert.  Food is always  very good, and most items on the menu are great.  Tonight we had Kelly as our server, she was great and very, very accommodating.  We both ordered cocktails, however the cucumber martini (which I order every time I visit Si Bon) had no elder flower in the martini (which I am extremely familiar with). Not seeing our server, i took my drink to the bartender.  When I approached the bar tender  and mentioned there was no elder flower in my drink.  The bartender snapped back at me by stating "I made your drink and there is elder flower in the cocktail".  She proceeded to say, "do you want more?"  I said no, I just want a small splash of elder flower.  I expected a fresh cocktail but instead she put the drink back in the shaker which I thought was unusual. She continued to ask if I wanted more with a sarcastic attitde, in a bothered way.  At this time, my server approached me at the bar to ask what was wrong, I explained and the server kindly said I bring it to you at your table.  As I left the bar, I said thank you to the bartender, she ignored my sentiment.  The server brought the drink over  in the attempt to make amends to a very uncomfortable but simple request. When I finished dinner and began to leave the restaurant, I again stated to the bartender, "Thank you for your service".  The bartender did not respond, chose to ignore my friendly gesture as if I was invisible.  The only thing I may be guilty of is requesting a splash of elderflower to a simple cocktail.  What happened to a little kindness?  How about serving a little bit of love and appreciation to your customers? With all the hundreds and hundreds of great classics and fun restaurants in the desert to choos from, should staff be nice?  What ever happened to appreciation of the customer?Food is always good here, however I need to learn that one bartender who is having a bad day can ruin the evening. I need to work on not letting that happen. More...

The food and the service is amazing but I unfortunately have to give four stars because of the flies. If you eat outside be prepared to be not slightly inconvenienced but swarmed by flies. It really makes me sad because otherwise I would have given five stars but when you are spending $50 per entree you shouldn't have to fight off a swarm of flies. I should have known something was wrong when we pulled up and the restaurant's name is written in the Disney font (facepalm). Then we sit down and the menus light up - which I guess is cool? It was a little bit tacky in my opinion, but I was trying to reserve judgment since this restaurant came recommended. So we ordered some food: duck pate, wedge salad, Brussels sprouts salad, 2 steak frites, a lobster Mac and cheese and the pistachio crusted rack of lamb. It was all pretty average honestly. Like it wasn't the worst food I've had, but it wasn't good. The pate was in 2 blocks on a bed of lightly dressed salad with two hard pieces of toast. The wedge salad was pretty good but the Brussels sprouts salad didn't have any flavor and was too sweet. The rack of lamb out came looking like we were eating at an old person's home with boiled vegetables. And I wouldn't mind so much if this was a $-$$ restaurant. But the lobster Mac and cheese was $32 and the rack of lamb was $48. I don't want to spend $48 on boiled vegetables. I will say that lamb had decent flavor and good texture - it came off the bone relatively easily and wasn't too chewy. But the lobster Mac and cheese just felt like glorified pasta with too much cheese. At least they gave us a lot of lobster but it didn't taste great. All in all - I'd skip! More...

Stepping into Si Bon you'll instantly realize that this IS a European bistro with the Brussels' feel. We arrived without reservations, which is highly recommended, and were seated promptly. The staff was prompt and attentive. There is a very slower pace (but not reflected in their service) and soothing atmosphere here.Of course, we had NO choice but to order the Mango Stuffed Belgian Waffles. This exceeded expectations. The waffle had the deep pockets and was very crunchy, but not overcooked. Surprisingly the crunchiness held up through the entire meal. It was light and airy. The fruit was fresh. The custard appeared to be gelatinase BUT was quite smooth, rich and deeply flavored without being overly sugary. It had a dusting of sugar that had been caramelized on top which was a great textural balance to the creamy custard. All the pieces of this plate worked very well together. We also had the Eggs Benedict House Corned Beef Hash. This was served on a half of a waffle (not Belgian - this was half the thickness, shallow pockets and no sweetness or crunch). The eggs were a bit under-cooked and the whites a bit runny. The corned beef hash barely fit under the eggs. These were under flavored. The Hollandaise sauce was missing the lemon tang and depth. Again, there was barely enough to cover the eggs. The cubed potatoes didn't have any seasoning. In spite of being a European bistro with a slower pace atmosphere, management isn't staid. For the outdoor patio diners, there are table top fans (see my pic). Also on their whimsical note, see my last pic (I haven't seen this before). More...

We have on multiple occasions received waffles (a core part of many dishes)  that seem to have been cooked hours if not days earlier, they are stale flavorless, and should not be served under any circumstances! Ordering the lobster on this kind of waffle ruins the meal. One dropping $300 we expect more much more! I also ordered the meatloaf and the mushroom gravy was so salty it dominated the whole dish, is the chef tasting the food? It's our once a year trip to the desert.  Stumbled upon this place making a run to Albertson's.  Who knew such an amazing restaurant would be sitting in an unassuming strip center.  Besides the delicious food, we absolutely loved our server Hernan.  He went above and beyond to make our first experience here memorable.  Hernan was a complete delight! Now to the food.  Hernan made a few recommendations and he was spot on.  We started with salads.  I ordered the beet salad and hubby ordered the wedge salad.  Both were very good.  For my entree, I got the beef short ribs.  Great flavor, tender, and juicy sitting on mashed potatoes with steamed vegetables.  The hubby was torn between the the homemade linguine with Alfredo sauce and chicken and the lobster Mac and cheese.  To solve this dilemma he ordered both.  Wow!  Both were divine!  There's nothing like homemade pasta.  While getting ready to check out, the hubby spied a case with gelato and sorbet.  We got mango and strawberry sorbet's to go.  They were a nice treat to end our evening.  This restaurant will be our go-to whenever we're in the area.  Highly recommend the food, the service and Hernan!
