Q&As

I am passionate about facilitating the restoration of those who have experienced trauma, feel stuck, have relationship issues, and who suffer from anxiety and depression. I believe that people’s stories and belonging are an important part of the journey to wholeness.

I was inspired to become a professional clinical counselor after years of pastoral ministry.

Clients should choose me who are looking for the specific areas of expertise that I offer. If I am not a good fit, I am happy to find another therapist who may fit a person's specific needs.

Yes, I offer Telehealth services or in-person sessions.

I provide Telehealth services for those who would like to enjoy therapy from the comfort of their own home.

Services

I see individuals from teens to adults and from various backgrounds and beliefs. In order to meet the individual needs of clients, I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches such as EMDR therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Marriage Methods. My specific areas of focus are anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, attachment pain and relationship issues.

I am trained in Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for working with couples. I have found Gottman Method helpful with assessing couples and helping them to learn necessary skills for improving communication and conflict management. I also use EFT for focusing on healing the deeper, emotional issues that couples experience.

Family Therapy consists of the same modalities used with couples, in addition to conflict management and a family systems approach.

EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. By reprocessing disturbing events from the past, clients are able to experience relief from symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
