I went to Cari today and she not only made me feel BEAUTIFUL, but she also listened to me vent for a solid 2 hours. Such an amazing stylist and person. Hands down, this is the BEST salon experience I've ever had. When I arrived, I was informed that the owner/stylist was running a bit late, so I was immediately seated, given a complementary beverage, hand massage and the genuinely sweetest little conversation with an up and coming stylist. When Becky arrived, I was completely at ease right from the start about my desires for my hairstyle and her intentions to satisfy. Each step of the way, she explained her plan, then let me look at it carefully before proceeding, and the end result was beautiful! If you love a good head massage, then you are in for a treat with that as well.? I was also offered a sample of a styling product upon leaving, that I got three good uses out of, to consider for a future purchase. On another note, there was plenty of free parking, and easy access to the salon, which is always a plus. My confidence rating? Well, made my return appointment before I left that day! More...

I was looking for a new stylist to freshen up my look so I thought I would check around for a Living Social or Groupon deal. I stumbled across a deal for Shelter Salon and figured I would give the place a try. I planned for a cut & color and as fate would have it, got paired with Holly. Other than the fact we are possible long lost sist-ahs, she is one of the most meticulous and knowledgeable colorists I have ever consulted with. Just a few of the highlights of my experience: I was able to get an appointment at my desired time on the weekend. I was told up front of any additional costs that might be incurred due to the nature of the specialty color I was going for....and guess what? The quote was accurate! The salon is beautifully appointed and convenient to get in & out of from I-95 from west end. Overall, I am SO happy with the experience & the results and have found my forever salon. More...

I hadn't gotten my hair cut in years so I just called around last minute to find a salon that could fit me in. I ended up with Holly, who, by the way, is the bomb. She really took the time to make sure she understood what I wanted and gave me exactly that. She also suggested a brush for me to help with my daughter's crazy, curly, knotty hair.
