Shawna was our wedding photographer in June 2019, and did an incredible job capturing our love, our loved ones, and our day. I feel so grateful to have found Shawna- the photos are stunning and she was absolute joy to have around. Our engagement shoot was simple and beautiful, and Shawna made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (where my now-husband and I typically do not thrive). Shawna created a shot list and timeline for the wedding day to keep everything organized, which was so valuable. On the wedding day, Shawna arrived and first asked if I had eaten anything that day; her level of care went far beyond the photography and into my well being, dress wrangling, and family coordinating. She even got our hyper dog to sit and look at the camera for some super sweet photos. I suggested another location for some pictures between the ceremony and reception, and she enthusiastically rolled with it and took some of the most gorgeous pictures of us on the Lake Superior shoreline. We received our photos less than a month after the wedding, and I am so happy with how they turned out. They are stunning, and it is entirely thanks to Shawna's talent and care. Shawna took was our engagement and wedding photographer for our June 2019 wedding. She was absolutely amazing! Leading up to the wedding, she had a list of all the needed photos and helped us make our timeline for the whole day. On the big day she not only was our photographer but hair fixer, kid wrangler and had every single wedding supply I forgot! My fiancé and I had our engagement pictures taken recently, and are having our wedding photos taken next year, by Shawna. My fiancé and I are both a little camera shy, but Shawna made us feel SO completely comfortable during our engagement session . Shawna is absolutely phenomenal at what she does! She shot some engagement photos for us and most recently, our wedding photos. I've only seen the sneak peak of the wedding photos so far, but I already know we're going to love them! Shawna's photos tell the story of our wedding beautifully. Looking through the photos is like reliving our day all over again-there was not a special or funny moment that she missed. She captured it all! From our first email conversation, Shawna's amazing personality shone through! She is passionate about what she does, detail-oriented and so fun. She made us feel special and so comfortable in front of the camera. My friends and family all loved her. She has so much talent! On top of the amazing photos, my husband and I felt like she went above and beyond in so many ways! Whether it was keeping things moving along, getting to know our bridal party, watching for my one pesky strand of hair that kept sticking out, or making sure we had time to take photos outside at sunset. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Shawna when she was a photographer for a friend's wedding. Out of all the decisions we made for our wedding, having Shawna take our photos was by far the best. I have only seen a few of them so far, but the ones I have seen are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. She was very quick with all the young children I had in my wedding, was very funny and good at putting everyone at ease, and even managed to make the best of our very windy, rainy, and cold orchard wedding. I have known Shawna for a long time, so it was no tough decision when asking her to take my high school grad photos. She is kind, funny, and charming, as well as professional with a wonderful eye for shots that fit the personality of those she photographs. She keeps the sessions fun and comfortable enough, even for someone who is relatively uncomfortable in front of a lens. Shawna works hard to make sure each shot is perfect for you, and she edits and sends the photos back so quickly. The pictures perfectly capture the emotions expressed, and I would recommend her for any event! I still have prints of the photos hanging around my room. My husband and I made a lot of the right decisions for our wedding -- but one of the biggest was having Shawna do our photos. She made us feel comfortable with her quick wit and easy laugh, was assertive enough to wrangle our rowdy groomsmen, patient and kind enough to coax our reluctant ringbearers into photos, made our folks laugh, fixed my hair (dress, necklace...), etc., etc., etc., -- and really gave us something that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
