My trainer is Jennifer and I LOVE her! She listens to me and tailors our sessions to my needs. I feel like she prescribes the workouts to my body type, ability, and personal goals. She is incredibly personable, easy to talk to, and fun to train with! I have never enjoyed exercising or working out until I got a (semi) personal trainer. Choosing Shaping U was one of the best decisions yet! I joined without any knowledge about fitness and didn’t know what to expect. Brad sat down with me and gave me a great nutrition plan, walked me through my program, and made me excited about starting my journey! Great trainer. Not only know what he’s talking about, but also lives by it himself. Knows that losing/gaining weight isn’t just about being in the gym and can help you realize your goals. Darius was great and always pushed me past my limit. Sessions weren’t longer than an hour and a half and was a complete body workout. I gained 7-10lbs in 4 months working with them. After 3 weeks with Shaping-U...the results are in! The staff does an outstanding job not just with my workouts...but my full nutritional and dietary plan as well. Brad and his team do a great job. They allow a sharing of trainers to keep costs down but also keep class sizes small so you still receive one on one attention. They watch your form to ensure maximum benefit and prevent injury. Brad gives consultation on what and when to eat with enough variety of choices. I have needed to lose some weight since the pandemic (who hasn't) and really for years. Shaping U Fitness has checked all the boxes for a healthy overall lifestyle: 1/ fitness geared toward your body and your abilities, with tailoring exercises that you can accomplish. If one exercise wasn't quite right, they adapted to your abilities while striving for you to reach higher goals. Strength training is so important especially as our bodies change with age, to stay healthy and also to prevent injury. 2/ Personal sessions to talk about your meal plan, how you think about food, to get you on a better mental health track geared to eating better and for life. 3/ Just overall a great place to train without high pressure; I met so many nice people looking for the same fitness goals and it has been a wonderful experience. Brad Pugh did a great job of explaining the nutrition and meals that I would need. As someone who is a bit new to nutrition, I was appreciative that Brad worked with me from the ground up. Not only did he suggest the types of foods that I should be eating, but he also informed me of what my lean weight should be, what a proper workout routine would be, and of a daily meal plan all in one session! I've been trying to lose weight for over a year now. I was working out at my old gym but wasn't getting the diet right. I'm so grateful that I found Shaping U! Brad and his team are exactly what I needed. Brad sat down with me and worked out a meal plan that considered my 12 hr shifts at work and my days in the gym. The workouts are challenging but fun! They consider where you are in your fitness journey and only push you when they know that you're physically capable of doing the movement. I feel supported in my weight loss goals because I feel like I'm held accountable, but without any judgment. I can talk to Brad and the trainers about my struggles/concerns and they help me find ways to overcome them. Finally seeing results has been so encouraging. I love these guys! More...

Q&As

I take each new client under my wing...and spend a lot of time with them. I help them customize the perfect meal plan according to their Height, Frame Size, & Lean Weight. We also start Results Tracking of Bodyfat..BMI..Weight...and Inches lost.

I then start what I call Shaping U 101 with them. This is where I patiently teach them the correct form and way to do several exercises that most NEW clients have the most trouble with at the start. These are exercises like Squats, Bent Over Rows, Lunges, and several Ab type exercises. I make sure they feel comfortable and that they get the best training possible. And of course the best Results possible. Whatever it takes! :)

Nutrition-I help them keep their Nutrition targets on point.

Fitness-we program workouts and teach clients to stay consistent and actually look forward to their workouts.

Accountability-We do weekly checkins with clients checking progress (Bodyfat, weight, & inches lost) We also are always asking how do you like the training? Are you looking forward to your training? If not we fix that issue for you.

Consistency wins every single time. You also need a team like ours that will have you motivated and looking forward to making it happen!

I love helping clients get into the best shape of their lives. I love it when clients have a scary report from the doctor. Or they have some scary bloodwork. Then after we do what we for them their blood work comes back perfect! Or they start feeling better with more energy. They get stronger and leaner. Love seeing them fit in their favorite clothes again!

A 103 year old man was interviewed. They asked him if he had any advice for any of us in the world. what would that advice be? He said do what you love and make it your business. It must be something that if you worked 12 hours per day it still would not feel like work. So I then decided i wanted to help people with Nutrition Coaching & Fitness Training can and will mostly be part of that.
