I am officially a fan! 5 stars.I love to cook my own healthy meals, but it can get hectic and time consuming especially when hunger hits hard, and you feel to urge to order out, or eat less than great takeout. I was taking a risk with my first food delivery system, and was hoping that A. the food was tasty and won't leave me hungry. B. If the delivery would be reliable.And YES to it all.....plus more. First off, I love their menu options. Seems like a nice variety of entrees and sides/deserts every week that will keep me satisfied and interested. Perfect portions- so you don't overeat/actually trim down. On my first week now, and I get excited everyday to have this easy, prompted delivery at my door. Well, well I had to start a diet because of all the foodie events I like to attend so Monday thru Friday started a diet today. I had tried them in the past and had a great experience and the food is tasty for being diet food. Everything is portioned and a great way to control your blood pressure and lose weight in a good way. It will tell you how many calories and protein a day with other contents you may want to know about. I chose the traditional menu which is lunch and dinner and you can change an item if you dont like by Wednesday before the week starts. I've been a loyal customer since the very beginning when Shape Lover's first started. I knew about them when they came to Miami Dade College in Downtown for a health fair, I gave it a try and even referred my colleague and she loves it too. I'm impressed by their attention to detail and careful packaging (this is a plus for me) and I find this to be very refreshing and professional! Their food is always top notch quality, undoubtedly. I'm even more happy that they're menu now gives me the freedom modify, add and take away as I please, which is essentially helpful for me since I'm minimizing my calorie intake. There is so much variety in Shape Lovers' menus that frankly, I never get bored and they have reasonable pricing. Shape Lovers is great all around. I gave Shape Lovers four stars b/c although the customer service is good it could be better in the sense of the personnel attending to the phones. They are nice but could be a bit kinder. I don't know if its b/c they're always busy, but I get a sense of a bit of presumptuousness, from the personnel, when I call. Maybe its just me, I don't know. But they are kind but could be a bit more genuine. Their delivery guy, however, is incredibly polite and always smiling. He is so very very polite, he seems to always be in a rush (I understand) but will stop to ask you: 'how is your day', 'happy holidays' and will have a short chat with you. I pay attention to these sort of actions and details b/c it makes me feel appreciated and valued as a customer. I should actually call in to compliment his manager on behalf of him (the driver). I wanted to take a break from cooking and I started receiving Shape Lovers recently. My sister has been ordering their food for a long time and recommended them. She really likes it. So far I love their cooking. It is really tasteful and not greasy. Every day I can't wait to open and taste what they have sent me.For now we are ordering lunch and dinner for one person and my husband and I split both for dinner. We like ordering it like that because we can try two different main dishes every day. Their customer service is also good. This has been the answers to all my prayers! I was trying hard to eat healthy without getting tired of eating at the same places around my job every day. After much research I came across their website and I made the best decision ever! Their menu is always rotating and it's good because you don't get tired but it's sad when you love a dish so much you may not get it again in a while. I highly recommend it for people like me who don't cook everyday but hate eating out all the time. Wow I tried almost every delivery service available in my area of Miami this is by FAR the best. When I put the food on a plate and microwave it I feel like it's a home cooked meal. I am pregnant with twins and have a one year old so I was looking for something easy and to add calories to my diet. The food is amazinggggggg. Today I am eating the brisket and it's seriously the best brisket I've ever had. The desserts are delicious also even though they are sugar free. I have been using the service for more than a month already, so far so good.They send all the menus for next week on a TUESDAY, and if you need to make any changes either substitute or address you can do it the day before. I've enrolled in Shape Lovers' lunch meal plan for almost two weeks now and I am so pleased with their fast service and professionalism. My lunch arrives early (around 9am) very neatly packaged and its FRESH !! I love it! I had a meal plan with Healthy Xpress but they were a huge fail. The reps were not as courteous and food was not as fresh, and at time I had two meals in one setting meaning that I had to carry around my lunch for the next day What if I didn't have a fridge or did not go home that day, ugh! Shape Lovers by far is the best nutritious food service delivery in the Miami- Dade and Broward County Area. I have been a customer for the past 18 months. Shape Lovers offers great tasting, fresh, and nutritious food. Very nice portions and variety. Wonderful customers service. Flexibility and great delivery persons who provide timely service.On the healthy side, since I have began eating Shape Lovers meals many of my medical issues are being resolved. I love shape lovers. I have been getting food delivered from them for about 3 months. I hate eating meals that are more than 2 days old so I don't prep meals; I also don't have a lot of time to cook meals in the morning when I'm working. This place is a life saver they deliver to your job or home and they don't mind delivering to both in one day. I'm a fan! FYI: This review is for their Bistro Menu found on their website (it's their menu that never changes and is ideal for lunch with sandwiches, wraps, and salads ranging from $6. 75- 6.95 with nutritional information on the package and posted to their website)I am a law student taking roughly 5 classes every semester. I also work a full-time job. I have ZERO time for anything....this includes meal planning. Then Shape Lovers entered my life with a great deal on Living Social and I decided to give them a try. I ordered for 3 days- a Chicken Caesar Wrap, Vietnamese Bahn Mi Chicken Sandwich, and a Pesto Chicken Salad Sandwich with Cranberries. All of them were delicious, healthy, and very filling. They tasted healthy, but in a truly yummy and satisfying way, not in that I'm-eating-cardboard kind of way. Plus, my lunch was delivered to my office by noon! Now, I'm going to start using them regularly for lunch delivery. I just placed my order for next week! Service on the phone was polite and courteous. I was put on hold, but not for very long like some of the other reviewers complained of. Delivery for Downtown Miami is $6 for the week. My week total came to just under $40. Considering that going out anywhere in downtown is easily almost 10 bucks a day, I am going to probably save some money here and I will be eating less junk! This is my gift to myself this year. I'm taking the stress out of some of my meal planning when I'm busy during the week, and rewarding my hard work with a healthy lunch. More...

I love shape lovers.  I order it for lunch, Mondays and Wednesdays.  Although lately I have been having some problems with the delivery, and I called this morning to rectify the problem.  The food is great.  You do have to heat it up and the portions are good.  They do give you the calories per dish, although if you are on weight watchers, watchout it will calculate it to 12 points, lol..... Ok i got to start by saying that even though i just cancelled my subscription to Shape Lovers, i have had a positive experience overall. The reason i canceled was because the delivery girl has been late the past few days with my lunch. I was on Shape Lovers for about 4 months now and i have to say it is pretty good.The food is portion-controlled, low fat and healthy.You definitely know you are eating diet food, but it is pretty tasty. This is not gourmet food though, but it  does its job.They have good customer service, good prices and the convinience of eating healthy, staying in shape and not having to think about what am i going to eat for lunch at the office everyday is unbeatable!.Healthy choices for food at reasonable prices, delivered right to your office, and tasty yay!Since it is portion controlled when you see it you're going to think you will be left hungry but that was never the case at all. I was always satisfied.Also they have a good variety menu and if you love vegetables like me, you will be pleased.The downfall was that the delivery girl was late with my lunch several days in a row, i was left waiting for food until 2PM and by that time i was starving!After calling many times, i was never offered a free meal or anything (they promise you will have your food before 2 PM), and that is why i decided to cancel and try another service.The delivery girl was always really nice and sweet and i am sure she had many other clients in my area, and i am one to have lunch late but 2 PM was just too late for me and the cherry on top was the customer service not offering to remedy the situation like i mention before.Other than that issue, i was pretty happy with them.Wish me luck with the new service!. tired of trying to figure out what to have for lunch? this is something you may want to look into. i like to think of this (in a great way for me) as a upscale Cantina for me! it is not only delicious variation of food but also cooked in a very health manner. you do not have to put much effort or thought into it, just await its arrival to your destination!! i have been on it for a while now and still find myself anxiously waiting for the delivery person to bring it in the morning so i can open it up! this is the great solution to getting some healthy food into your system without all the fuss... i have found some favorites, such as pork fricassee... chunks of pork made in a lite sauce with carrots, - soups! love soup - ajiaco  my favorite - desserts - Peaches & Cream made with a Chantilly cream!!! the taste is so wonderful you actually forget the healthy calorie portioned dish you are having..... good thing they provide you with the nutritional information for all the dishes otherwise you would be going crazing thinking of all the calories such delicious things may have!!!! look it up - you can view their menu (i have been receiving both the lunch & dinner portions! and love it!) I have been on shape lovers for a couple of weeks. It was recommended to me by a friend. After trying every diet under the sun, i have finally found my match. There is no counting, weighing or watching what you eat. These meals are the perfect portion and are well balanced. I love that i dont need to think about what i can and cannot eat. As a diabetic, i have to really watch the amount of carbohydrates i take in and shape lovers really suits my nutritional needs. I have lost 23lbs with no effort at all. I walk about 30 minutes a day and keep my food portions small. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. I couldnt ask for a better service. I order the lunch and split it so i have the entree and side dish for lunch and soup plus dessert for dinner. I don't think i will ever go back to making my own meals. After I read Maria's review, I decided to try Shape Lover's. I don't have children or a lot of other responsibilities. Most of the time I'm just too single/busy/lazy to cook. Plus, I think Winn Dixie is ghetto and nowadays the same groceries I used to buy at Publix now cost twice as much. I think this would be a great and convenient service for singles, busy moms, and the elderly. And in this economy, a 4-course healthy meal for $8 to me, is PRICELESS. I hope I never get sick of this. Two words I would use to summarize my experience with Shape Lovers so far is *Yummy Convenience*. LOCATION: Hallandale Beach. $8/week  delivery charge.DELIVERY TIME: For my area is aprox. 7AM (I'm asleep at this time). I leave a cooler w/ ice outside my door at night  and bring the meal in and put it in the fridge before work.MEALS: $7.95/meal. Optional 1-5 meals/week (special delivery arrangements for Saturday). Includes main dish, side, soup, and dessert (WOW!) Low cal, low fat, 500-600 calories/meal. The side dish, soup, or dessert may substitute each other and on some days an alternative main dish is offered. So far, it looks like there is a new menu weekly.FOOD EVALUATION: I consider myself a semi-picky non "foo foo fancy" type eater and I haven't seen a meal on their menu that I wouldn't eat. I also have yet to finish an entire meal from them in one seating. I usually have a side/soup dish left over and sometimes I eat the dessert first because to be so low in calorie, they are DELISH. This food is HEALTHY but doesn't taste it at all. Unbelievable. How they do it? I have no idea, but I'm glad they did. *Their desserts are now offered in party portions for no extra delivery fee. I will definitely buy one for my next girlie dinner party.*MEAL EXAMPLES: Carribean-roasted pork loin, split pea mashed potato, minestrone soup, coconut flan, 575 calories TOTAL and DELICIOUS!! Chicken jambalaya, cilantro rice, vegetable puree soup, corn custard (506 calories, 5g fat TOTAL PEOPLE!!!!) and VERY YUMMY. I was very surprised at the good taste of my first week of meals. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Excellent phone rep's and delivery drivers. I signed up online but had to call them a few times in my first week. (#1) I signed up online and the system conveniently took my money but a "glitch" caused them not to delivery my meal the next day (mmhm, interesting how that happens). (#2) My delivery came before the listed delivery time (online states 9am-2pm, but my area is actually 7am). I missed the delivery driver and phone rep's call because I was asleep and driver did not have gate code for complex (My bad) so she left. After tackling an assignment, watching Diego two times, playing at the park, changing dirty diapers, watching Dora once, dancing to my daughter's fave tunes, reading, blogging, surfing the Web, painting, drawing, bathing said child, you get the picture, folks. ..I'm ASS TIRED. The last thing I wanna do is cook.Enter Shape Lovers. They deliver low-fat meals to your doorstep.For 7 bucks a meal plus a weekly delivery fee (7 bucks to my hood), they deliver HEALTHY  food to your home. You get a soup, side (usually some kid of rice or veggie), protein and dessert. And it tastes GOOD (just add salt). My fave meal so far is the stuffed plantains...delish! I just moved to Miami from NYC and was looking for fresh, nutritious food to be delivered to my home. I hate to cook, plus I have no time, but I want to eat healthy. NYC had plenty of delivery places to choose from, but Shape Lovers is by far is the most affordable and best tasting meal service I have tried. The food is fresh and gets delivered to my office everyday by noon. The best part is I've lost 12 lbs without even trying. My favorite part is the dessert. THE MANGO CHEESCAKE IS TO DIE FOR!
