Q&As

Seeing my clients out there succeeding and adventuring with their dogs is the most rewarding part of this job! Of course I don't mind the puppy love either!

After working for a few other companies and seeing the conditions the dogs were in, the improper use of tools across the board, the way clients were treated, the follow up and transfer training that was not complete, and the lack of success long term for the dogs and owners was all I needed to start my company and do things the right way. I couldn't get behind the way this industry normalizes things that are straight up just NOT OK.

Your dog will be treated with the utmost respect and meticulous care, and given expert training. Even more, we will train YOU in order to succeed with your dog. We communicate with you throughout your dogs program and create an individualized shared album for you to keep up with your dogs pictures, videos, and progress daily.

we prefer not to but will make exceptions on a case to case basis

Services

Our Board & Train program covers every aspect and level of training. From puppy work to standard obedience, to the most severe behavior issues. We have developed a unique approach and system; one that not only transforms these extremely difficult dogs but which also transfers seamlessly to the owners. And if we are this successful with the tough ones, imagine the results with puppies and more straightforward cases.
We specialize in low-level, communication style e-collar conditioning. Our state-of-the-art training approach enables owners to have a fully off-leash reliable dog indoors and outdoors, as well as relaxed, stress-free walks. No more bribing, begging, or losing your cool; just dependable training, a great relationship, and a dog you can enjoy anywhere. We pride ourselves on boutique-style, specialized, one-on-one training. By keeping the volume of dogs we work with limited, it enables us to devote more quality time and attention to each dog. This allows us to develop a unique game plan for each dog, and their particular needs, which of course equals the very best results possible.
Your dog will learn loose leash walking, leash manners, house manners, crate manners, potty on command, socialization, recall, car manners, dog friendly establishment manners, group class manners, group play manners, individual play manners, treadmill exercise, confidence building, emotional regulation, meditation, off-leash heeling, duration place work, impulse control, emotional and mental maturity, some fancy footwork if time allows, and more.
We offer a limited number of Board & Train programs per year due to their intensive nature. Our board and train is a minimum of 5 weeks.
Many well-tempered pet dogs reach their training goals with this program. Clients who have more difficult dogs, or dogs who present additional behavioral challenges upon arrival, may require another 3-6 lessons and/or additional weeks of Board & Train. We rarely come across cases that cannot achieve our total transformation within that time frame/program. If you desire more advanced training, such as therapy or service work, you will likely need to continue with additional lessons and/or board and trains throughout the life of your dog.
Please keep in mind that we do offer no-interest payment plans through Affirm if you are unable to pay the cost of your training program in full upon booking.
Please fill out our application for services so we can give you a call and get your evaluation scheduled.

Our Raise-and-train program covers every aspect and level of training. From puppy work to standard obedience, to service and therapy work, and advanced dog sports. In addition to all the perks of the traditional Board & Train, the Raise & Train allows us enough time to evaluate your dog based on their individual drives and temperaments, to find the best dog sport or work suited for their needs and your lifestyle. We will test your dog out in a variety of dog sports and/or working jobs to include: Service Work, Therapy Work, Dock Diving, Agility, Protection, Tracking, Nose Work, Flyball, Disc, Canine Freestyle, Herding, Lure Coursing, Marathon Running, Rally, Barn Hunt, FastCat, and more!

Although we do have some clients that are able to achieve their desired results with just private lessons, we strongly encourage that you purchase lessons with an Intensive Day Care Program or a Board & Train to secure a spot. 90% of clients need a more intensive approach to succeed with their dog.
Our availability for our other programs fills up very quickly, so if you begin with just private lessons, you may have an extremely long wait time before your intensive program, and with that much of a gap in training, your dog will likely regress and you will have to purchase additional training.
During each lesson we will go over the work you will need to complete with your dog at home in between lessons in order to move forward to the next. You will be given detailed instructions and a daily structured plan for your dog each week. This program is for those who have the time to work with their dog at least 30-60 minutes daily, and who have the ability and discipline necessary to adhere to the strict exercise, crate training, and place training guidelines you will be given.

Our Intensive Day Care Programs are a convenient alternative to the traditional board and train program without compromising the quality of training you and your dog will receive.

Your dog will be picked up between 7am-9am and dropped off between 2pm and 4pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. On Sundays we will either pick your dog up at a scheduled time for their session, or you will join us for group training. We STRONGLY suggest that you join us for your dog’s sessions on Sundays in order to complete your transfer training so you can learn how to properly handle and facilitate your dog’s new set of skills.
Upon graduation, you and your dog will be enrolled into our group training program, which includes access to our free Sunday group training for the life of your dog.
We require a minimum of 4 weeks for this program.
If your dog requires a more intensive day care program, we would discuss options and pricing for a M-F day care program on a case by case basis.

We are extremely experienced with training Service Dogs for clients with Disabilities. We DO NOT train “Service Dogs” for clients who are just looking to be able to take their dog with them wherever they go. That is illegal.
Service Dogs are task trained to perform a task to help alleviate symptoms of their handler’s disability. They are required to meet public access standards in accordance with ADA Law. Please refer to the official government Americans With Disabilities website for more information about the laws that pertain to Service Dogs and their handlers.
If you select our team to train your service dog, we will begin with a 3 month Raise & Train. From there we will give you our recommendation on whether or not you and your dog will need additional months of Raise & Train or if you can continue with private lessons and/or group training.
Depending on your dog’s current training level and temperament, we may be able to reach your goals with some of our other less intensive services.
Please fill out our application for services so we can give you a call and get your evaluation scheduled.

Our group training sessions are only for those that are ready and able to hold a duration place command and are able to remain in control of their handler under the distraction/stress of other dogs and handlers within their immediate vicinity. Your trainer will let you know when you and your dog are ready to begin attending group training. If you are not a current client, you may enroll in group training pending your training assessment/lesson.
With the purchase of one of our training programs, you will be enrolled in our unlimited group training program free of charge for the life of your dog.
You will be given access to the schedule once you are enrolled in the program.

For Protection we offer Puppy Raise & Train and refer you out to continue building your dog with one of our highly skilled and recommended Specialized Protection Trainers, Decoys, and Clubs.

After years of working with clients, hearing their complaints, seeing their struggles, it has become very apparent that the average intelligent adult does not have enough of the information readily available to them that they need to be successful in choosing a companion animal that will mesh well in their day to day lives. We offer custom programs to help you make the first step in the right direction in selecting a new pet for your home.
Our clients who have enrolled in this program with us have the most success with their dogs.

Our behavior modification program is for the human biting, dog aggressive, resource guarding, anxiety ridden, barking, digging, counter surfing best friend that’s currently not their best self. We are expertly trained in facilitating the rehabilitation process to fully submerge you and your dog into a new way of life.
Our behavior mod program sets your dog up for success in training so that social gatherings are stress free for everyone involved. Please review our available services and we will discuss with you at your consult specialized pricing unique to you and your dog’s needs.
Because our canine companions with more exuberant challenges require more risk, time and effort on our trainer’s part, our pricing and minimum time in program with us does increase when behavioral modification is desired.

Not all animals that individuals with a disability rely on meet the definition of a service animal for purposes of ADA. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an emotional support animal is any animal that provides emotional support alleviating one or more symptoms or effects of a person’s disability. Emotional support animals provide companionship, relieve loneliness, and sometimes help with depression, anxiety, and certain phobias, but do not have special training to perform tasks that assist people with disabilities. Emotional support animals are not limited to dogs.
In some cases emotional support animals are permitted to accompany individuals to their workplace and/or in housing that does not normally allow animals. Only doctors can write letters to support this.
Although it is not legally required, we highly suggest having your emotional support animal go through advanced training if you plan to have him/her accompany you in the workplace or housing that does not otherwise allow pets. On a case by case basis, we can provide a training certificate and/or letter to better your chances of having your pet accepted as part of a reasonable accommodation.
It is very important to understand that an Emotional Support Animal DOES NOT have the same access rights as a Service Dog and we will not condone, support, or take on any clients that abuse the system by passing off their Emotional Support Animal as a Service Dog or those who take their Emotional Support Animal anywhere that does not otherwise allow pets except the workplace or their homes.
