The Puppy Training Academy was founded on the belief that learning should be fun for the dog and the owner. Our training program is based in positive reinforcement. We have been training successfully for decades. We work with home manners, potty training, basic obedience, higher obedience, behavioral issues and show dog training.

Wow! We boarded my husky, Quinoa, 2 weeks while my family and I were on vacation in Europe. My sister and mom went to check it out before to see how they liked it and came back with nothing but smiles.
They loved how the staff were so attentive to owners and puppos alike! Such a happy vibe here, with golden retrievers being trained at every turn.
Originally we were expecting to simply board her for 2 weeks, but it was suggested by the staff that we do the puppy version that includes some training. The difference in cost was pretty minimal, but wow, so worth it! Quinoa is a good girl, but she was a rescue from a family who didn't have much time for her, so she picked up some naughty habits as most doggies do. We've been working on some things with her, but she would tend to nip at us when she would get worked up and excited, and she would jump on us when we had grub, either for her to eat or just for ourselves. Needless to say, she needed to learn some manners, and our plan was to get some training when we got back from vacation (for both her and ourselves) so that she could be the best puppo she can be!
So basically, we came back to such a well behaved lady and were in such shock! No more jumping, no crazy erratic nipping, and where did all this patience come from? I've fallen in love with my little girl all over again! Not only were the staff very quick to respond to our calls and emails while we were in Europe, they also sent us a detailed email and followed up with more info on a phone call letting us know what she learned and what they taught her, so that we could make sure we make her training worthwhile. Just a question.... are you guys hiring? Haha!

What do you love most about your job?
We love working to create a relationship based in trust between the owner and the dog. It is incredibly rewarding to see the relationships blossom and in the case of a dog with behavioral issues, to see them learn to trust, to expand their horizons and live a happier life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our business is rooted in a life long passion for dogs. That passion grew into a desire to create bonded, trusting relationships with dog and owner.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have an incredible knowledge base here. Our training program is headed by a trainer with multiple certifications and awards. We use our knowledge in order to help dog and owner learn more about each other while learning to work together in trust, as a partnership.
