Normally, I don't mind moving. I pack everything myself and usually enjoy the entire process. This time, however, I had a baby moving with me so I packed as much as I could and left the big stuff (bookcases, crib, bed, couch) for the movers. On moving day, Archie and his team were efficient and timely. In 7 hrs, they had completely moved my family and I into our new home (loading and unloading boxes, disassembling and reassembling furniture). It was a completely stress free day. We had a great experience using Archie and his partner for moving recently. We were moving from a storage unit and van full of stuff into a 31st floor high rise unit, and the whole thing only took around 2. 5 hours. The movers were very professional the whole time through, and took great care of our furniture. They also took the time to ask where different pieces should go throughout the apartment. The price was also super reasonable, much better than what other companies quoted us. We will definitely be using them again, and would highly recommend to any of my friends or family who are moving. We had a great experience with SF Movers. Archie's team was great; on-time, well organized, courteous, and took great care in wrapping up our belongings. We had a bit of an odd move, going from a house in SF to the PODs facility in Oakland as we wait to find our next home. They took great care in packing up our items and securing them in the truck to ensure no shifting or damage occurred during the drive. At the PODs facility, they took that same care and attention to detail to load the POD to ensure the items were secure in the unit. I believe that their experience and organization limited the hours needed for this move, ultimately saving me money. Thanks again for the great support during the move. SF moving was incredible, highly recommend and will hire them again. I heard about them through a friend who used them and was not let down. They came on time and were highly communicative from start to finish. Archie and team brought additional supplies we needed and were extremely professional and knew what they were doing. They worked quickly and efficiently, not to mention silently, moving heavy boxes going down multiple flights of stairs. This was the first time I hired movers and I will never move by myself again. I can't recommend Archie and his partner enough! Any time I hear someone is moving from now on, I will be referring them to SF Moving. Archie and his partner were incredibly kind, respectful and courteous. Absolute pleasure to work with and be around! They were very considerate with wearing a mask and were willing to put on shoe covers and take off shoes in the new house. Our moving day was an unmitigated success. We were impressed with Archie's professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail. They loaded furniture from a two bedroom house (beds, dressers, dining room table, sofas) and unloaded at our new house across town. They went above-and-beyond helping bring in a stove that was delivered, remove an old stove we had sold, and get a box spring upstairs (that the delivery team had been unable to manage). Booking the move was quick and easy over email. Archie and his team were superb, working efficiently and taking good care of the furniture and preventing any damage to walls, staircases, hardwood floors etc. I would definitely recommend them as great movers. Only reason I knocked off a star is because they were an hour and a half late, which I understand is all part and parcel of moving day, but if not for that, it would have been a perfect move! Movers were friendly, on time, professional & respectful. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we moved but our team thoroughly wrapped and protected our large items and electronics alike. These guys were so good-natured about having to sign in with my building security. They worked really fast, organizing my messy attempt at packing into something transportable. They disassembled/reassembled my bed frame better than I ever could have. I was able to clean my old place quite a bit while they were loading stuff into the truck. Getting everything loaded, unloaded, and assembled only took 4 hours. (Studio apartment) We had a bit of trouble understanding each other a few times but they were patient with me. The one thing I would suggest is that they get Square for taking payments. Writing down my credit card information on a piece of paper and giving it to someone I don't know was slightly concerning for me. TL;DR: It was worth the money, even for someone who hates accepting help and was super anxious about coordinating with a moving team. More...

Ten thousand stars for saving us from the worst bind and handling desperate circumstances cheerily.Our house is falling apart at the seams quite literally thanks to an infamous SF structural engineer whose name you've certainly read in the news. We'd boxed everything inside up to get the weight off the house's frame, found ourselves a temporary place to live (tiny apartment hundreds of miles away; we've got to save some money to deal with that thing), booked a U-haul, took them up on their offer to haul an extra trailer to where they needed it to be for a good discount on our booking, and were all set to go... til the phone rang just prior; truck cancelled, next availability: May 2021.All self-service trucks are similarly unavailable, so we found ourselves calling van lines we can't really afford last-minute. Indeed, no way could we afford the first several, nor did they have availability for a few weeks. Then we called SF Moving: ballpark estimate sounded good (I was wary it was almost too good), availability the next day, and Thiago stopped by within minutes to look over our belongings and confirm the size of the truck needed. Yep, quote stands. They charge for loading/unloading by the hour, and fortunately we were already boxed save for those odd pieces that just never fit (mannequins, washer/dryer, motorcycle with a dead battery, that kind of stuff). UNfortunately we live on a near 30% grade hill, we're facing a nine-hour one-way drive, and they had an early AM move the day after ours. Odds stacked against us, but Thiago is optimistic and we're desperate, so, let's go: see you at 5am! I stayed up until 4:45am repotting houseplants to fit more efficiently into my car, so I was more on the 6:30am end... but Thiago and Ricardo were indeed there minutes after I'd gone to nap for the drive ahead, and had the moving truck near-loaded by the time I had to part ways with my blanket to be packed, even having to constantly shuffle the moving truck on our impossibly steep hill to accommodate neighbors early morn traffic.Once they got on the road, all hell broke loose here... last-minute rush to shut off all utilities, put our terrified cat into his crate and into my car, lock up, and my husband was right behind me in the pickup truck we were otherwise going to sell back to the city under their old cars buyback program, but it's now packed with our Day One belongings and joining the convoy. SF's farewell: someone sideswipes me into the Fourth St exit barrier and books it for the Bay Bridge instead of stopping (thank you very much) - kitty and I are fine; car's not. Quick exchange of kitty to husband's vehicle for contents of what's in his cab; he races on to catch up to the movers while I head to an auto body shop in Oakland to get my headlight /tire+rim / protruding metal pieces / washer fluid case replaced, enough of a band-aid to make the rest of the drive. I'd called to confirm our storage space the day before; while waiting for my car I called again given our luck---and sure enough, it's been cancelled and is no longer available.Nearing typical storage space office hours closing time / definitely going to miss apartment leasing office hours / with movers who need to unload somewhere and double back ASAP / husband 200 miles behind them and I'm about to be 450 miles behind... called a storage space broker for a place who'd let me fill out everything via smartphone, let the movers in without us to unload after-hours, and hide a lock for us with details on how to find it -- they found the ONE place. Forwarded how-to-access info via text and hoped for the best... and it worked. My husband caught up to Thiago and Ricardo right at the end of their unloading, the storage space is perfect and neatly organized (I didn't even get to see it til a couple days later---there was the business of finding a motel that would allow cats, and then an epic slumber to be had), and arriving around 2am I never even got to see Thiago and Ricardo again---we almost certainly passed each other going in opposite directions on the freeway like two ships in the night; hope they made it back safely and survived their next move the following day. We are forever grateful for getting us out of the roughest patch in the worst of circumstances and for a more than fair price.(In our circumstances desperation was on the forefront of our minds; COVID-19 seems like a horror show I've been watching from afar from an injury that's kept me largely bedridden since late 2019, but for everyone else: they did indeed adhere to all CDC-recommended guidelines.)We're out of our motel and into our apartment now, and slowly bringing loads of furniture and boxes (much of it will stay in storage; our apartment's teeny). I went for my most precious items first, easy to find and everything just as we last saw it a long ways away... that's a ton of comfort amidst the chaos. I could not be happier about my experience with SF Movers. We had a bit of a complicated move as we were moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment in downtown as well as moving out of my office a few neighborhoods away and moving into a 1 bedroom on the other side of town. And of course there were flights of stairs involved without elevators. And we were worried about the horror stories we kept hearing about with people getting scammed or having their belongings trashed.From our initial phone call until the last box was moved, SF Movers were extremely professional, courteous and caring. They made sure all of our furniture and belongings were protected and arrived at our new home in perfect condition without a scratch.I hope I don't have to move again for some time, but if I do I know I will be taken care of by SF Movers. My husband and I just recently moved out of SF and decided on movers only one week prior to our move date.  SF Moving was able to accommodate us on short notice!  Archie and his guys were GREAT!!  They were on time, wore masks the entire time during the move, were super careful with our belongings and very conscientious about the new floors in our new home.  Their communication was fantastic and their prices were more than reasonable.  They made our moving day as easy as moving day can go!  We would highly recommend Archie and his team and would use them again.  We couldn't have been happier!! We all know how stressful the moving process can be.  I was thoroughly impressed with the service and professionalism of SF Moving.  I got my new keys late and my scheduled movers couldn't reschedule to the next day. Luckily SF Moving was able to fit me in at the last minute on a Saturday.  Archie the foreman for my move let me know when they were en route.  They were patient while I ran late getting the keys.  Once I got to my old place, they did a walk through with me to tell me where they would start and end.  I didn't realize I had so much stuff until it was time to move.  I ran out of boxes, they had extras with them.  They even loaned me some wardrobe boxes to use.  My furniture was wrapped and cared for well as it was loaded on the truck.The move took longer than I expected but it was a lot of stuff.  I would highly recommend SF Moving for your needs.  I intend to use them when the need arises again. If I could give 10 stars I would. "Amazing" doesn't even begin to describe Daly City Moving Team, who helped me with my local move from San Francisco to San Jose. In total, my move took 7.5 hours and cost about $900 (paid in cash, without tips). My whole experience was so smooth from start to finish. The customer service with Lana was great. From quote to delivery I never waited more than a minute for a good answer. My old apartment building were sticklers for the rules, with extra demands for insurance forms and floor coverings and elevator reservations. Sf Moving was amazing at handling all the details. Every time I had a question about rates, floor covering, furniture blankets and etc, I revived a friendly email with a full explanation within minutes.And it only got better on the actual move day. The Crew arrived within the assigned moving window and got to work right away. I felt so bad for how hard they were working. I never once felt like the team want working as hard and as fast as they could.The absolutely best part was that the Arkadiy with his crew handled getting my sofa into a new place like PROS. Truly amazing. When it looked like it wouldn't get through the right stairwell, they called me over as a heads upend said, " don't worry we will tray everything we can to make it work". And they did! The prices of SF moving company are very competitive. I would say it even on the lower side than other movers charge.
