Every single person that works there was so kind, respectful and caring. I did not have to wait to be seen. I was asked often if I needed anything, if I was comfortable and they had so many things at hand to have (water, coffee, and even a local deli with lunch and candy). I felt so welcome and like family. The shop was the cleanest I’ve ever been to. Every brush looked brand new, every chair was clean and comfortable. The process of my cut and color was flawless and went so incredibly well. My cut and color came out perfect. It’s exactly what I wanted. I’ve wanted this cut and color for literally 20 years and no other shop was able to help me. They are very knowledgeable and walked me through my options. I trusted them and chose the best one for me. I was happy that it was exactly right for me. My red hair is stunning and everyone compliments it and my confident attitude daily. I have been bounced around with other hair salons that they don't listen to what you are saying but after found this hair salon from a friend 's recommendation 1 year ago never been happier especially when my favorite hair dresser is there and she fantastic. she always listens to what you are saying and wanting and needing from the moment u make the appointment with her either in person or on the phone she is a blessing in disguise and I call this beautiful human being " MERCEDES " I would NEVER TRUST anyone with my hair and I drive 1 hour 15 minutes to her from Dutchess County in Fishkill and so worth the drive...trust me you won't be disappointed she is FABULOUS and easy to talk to ....LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!! I have never been in a committed salon relationship and have bounced from salon to salon my entire life. I got tired of dishing out a lot of money and being unhappy with my hair/not being listened to. A lot of other salons in the area would try to give me what THEY wanted to give me instead of what I had asked for. I came here and went to Mercedes and she slays it. She is kind, actually listens and consults with you, instead of just giving you a yes. I feel like the consultation is 85% part of getting a good haircut that you're happy with! I also am a person who likes to mess around with my hair a lot and do weird things to it at home and she's never mean to me about it! She just helps me fix it. I don't know if this is common but I have had so many salons lecture me/be straight out rude because they think my hair is shitty and I'm an idiot for having fun with my uneducated-hair-self. I don't go to a salon to get lectured and insulted, I go to get help. Mercedes works with you depending on the type of hair you have and how you style/live your life. I have been cursed with fine, oily hair that just hangs there and I usually have to keep it very short because once it gets to my shoulders it's just a mess. When I say oily I mean a few hours after I shampoo I still have no life to my hair. Mercedes to the rescue! Came in and was a little apprehensive about how the blow dry would be, I have very thick curly Dominican hair.
