I had a specific invitation in mind and couldn't find it in the books. I went for custom and went to 2 vendors prior to selecting Set the Date. They by far had the best price, the others wanted to charge me 3x more than this place. The girls were very nice. We went over all of my selections on our initial visit and then they emailed me the proofs of the wording and fonts for approval. They are only open 3x week for a couple of hours, but very responsive via email. Just 2 points of advice if you use them. 1. Make sure you get a swatch of the ribbon you want to use (if you are using one on your invite). I didn't and was kicking myself for it because the color was a few shades darker than what I expected so it didn't match my theme as I had wanted. 2. Make sure they write down the color of paper/envelopes on your deposit receipt or send it in an email. I wanted 2 layers of paper in 2 colors, the background paper was correct, the front was not. I wanted a pearly shiny white and I got a linen textured matte white which made the print look rather dull. What happened was she wrote down the paper colors on a scrap paper which probably got lost and then she asked me on an email what colors I wanted. I explained to her the colors, but of course did not have the name or id number of the paper. You don't see these 2 things on your email proofs. So when I picked up the 250 hand made invites a week before I had to send them out, it was too late to fix and I didn't have the heart to tell her the paper was wrong but I was really sad about it. But, the price for custom made invites cannot be beat in the area, trust me I looked. I have seen her other invitations and they are beautiful. I would go back despite the paper mishap, and recommend to other brides. It was just a mistake and like I said, the price for custom made is unbelievable, the others are charging 3x what she is. It's even affordable with the addresses printed on the envelopes which can usually get expensive. More...

I was so happy that we chose to use this vendor for our invitations. Christine was so helpful, and so nice! We spent a little more than we would have liked to spend initially, but we were so happy with everything in the end. The invitations were gorgeous, and I was so relieved that I didn't have to worry about doing anything myself, or relying on an online vendor. We paid extra to have all of the envelopes addressed and it was so worth it!!! I will definitely use Set the Date in the future for any other event I may need invitations for. More...

I'm so happy to have found Christine at Set the Date to do our wedding invitations! She was an absolute professional to work with. So patient and knowledgeable. Her shop is absolutely adorable. She carries a huge selection to chose from. She really helped me hone in in exactly what I wanted to send out to my guests. To be honest, I originally thought I would just order my invitations off the internet. That task turned out to be completely daunting and overwhelming. As soon as I walked in to Christine's shop I knew I was in good hands. She was able to see my vision and help knock it out of the park with the most beautiful invitations I have seen. I wanted to add Set the Date to the site to be sure Christine was recognized for how beautiful her work is. She did our custom invitations for our wedding (but she has a lot of stock invitations and also does most other paper products) and we couldn't have been happier. Her service was impeccable, she was so reliable and quick to communicate, and just easy to work with. I have a very busy schedule and she was so accommodating about working over email where possible and working quickly with last minute updates and changes.
