We noticed "something" black on the ceiling around the air register. We called a different company and they charged us substantially for an evaluation. We had mold. The cost for remediation was $500 but we were concerned because the root cause was not known. Their response was to do more work and charge $1700 still without addressing the root cause. We called Steve Stone at Servpro. He visited us the very next day. He explained the root cause of the problem, told us how we could treat it, and how to prevent it from reoccurring. Had an excellent experience with Servpro today. After ripping up carpeting ourselves, I called to ask Servpro to come out and clean the debris and glue that remained on the concrete. The woman who answered my call was very friendly and passed me on to the owner. He was very nice and suggested we check with our carpet installers first to see if they were going to do the cleaning as part of their installation. I appreciated that he suggested that and cared that I was not paying for the same service twice. I ended up booking their services and John and his team came out the next day and cleaned all three rooms very diligently. I would like to thank Servpro of West Pensacola for promptly responding to a water intrusion disaster that occurred here at Portofino. They were onsite within the hour, pulled up the carpet/padding, sprayed "hospital grade" anti-microbial disinfectant, and set up their dehumidifiers/air handlers incredibly fast.
