This my first time in Serop's Cafe. It was very nice. The service was really fast and nice. My waitress, Evelyn, was very polite. She tried and did her best to give quality service. She was excellent. Excellent food. I am not an expert at Lebanese food but the food tastes excellent. I had the fish of the day it was very, very good. I walked in after an appointment to be greeted by pleasant but efficient service and ended up ordering the lobster ravioli. And let me assure you, there is no weak component of this surprisingly affordable dish. Ravioli stuffed with lobster covered in a rich creamy sauce that you can taste the essence of the lobster in. The sauce alone made me want to shed a tear out of joy, and they know how good it is which is why they supply pita bread on the side so that none of it is wasted. Supplimented with a simplistic ceasar salad and steamed green beans to compliment the dish, the lobster ravioli is a perfect dish to order from this place.The only weak point i noticed about the restaurant is that they don't serve ouzo. It wasn't clear to me at first that this would be a solid experience, but it sure was throughout the meal. There's not much to say about the place itself, which is maybe what threw me off, though it is more than fine; however, our time at Serops was much more than fine.The menu is pretty extensive, even with some Louisiana flair included, and while I stuck with a traditional Mediterranean dish (gyro), it was spot on. Nicely seasoned tender meat that was delicious. The one star down was because the sides (rice and salad) were not particularly great, and the quality of the meat seemed a bit understated. But on the whole, nothing short of solid, including the service.To top it off, the manager (I think) brought a dish of complimentary baklava for the table ... and it was delicious. Pretty good dish, but I prefer the Serop's Express locations more than this cafe. I order fried eggplant medallions from their appetizer section and ate my husband's salad.
