I have been getting massages for a long time and I've had many massage therapists over the years... and Iris is one of the best. She has the strength and dexterity for deep tissue and is also really welcoming of feedback so you can tailor your experience to exactly how you want it. It was my first time ever getting a massage and I was really nervous but I'm excited to say I had an amazing first experience here ! I had Kathleen and he was amazing ! She made me feel really comfortable and educated me the whole way . She kept checking up on me to make sure I was doing okay and was comfortable. The scalp massage was AMAZING! I almost fell asleep. This place is amazing! Iris did such a great job. I loved the new technique she is using in which she climbs on the table and hangs onto bars attached to the ceiling and does deep tissue massage with her feet - so good!!!

Iris purchased Serenity Massage from Tanya  a while back and I continued as a client.  Iris does an amazing deep tissue massage, checking in to see if the pressure is okay regularly. She worked my hamstrings and gluts  so well my lower back pain was gone.  I have some injury and  aging issues that flare at times and I always feel better after seeing her.  I normally had a massage once a month but after seeing a chiropractor it was recommended I see Iris twice a month.  It's decision I will never regret. Tanya Lawrence at Serenity Massage gave me a massage so beautiful I almost cried.I had been referred to her from our massage therapist who moved and I was hesitant to start with someone else. I have cancer and this was the first massage I had after chemo. My body badly needed to release a lot of built up tension and Tanya blended a perfect deep tissue with relaxing massage. She is really strong and was able to apply pressure without using her elbows for deep tissue (a true gift). She was also sensitive and professional about my medical condition. I don't normally get massage, but I was experiencing serious shoulder pain and went to see Tanya at Serenity Wellness on a friends recommendation. She was very professional and the setting made me feel comfortable despite my lack of experience. More importantly, the massage did wonders for my pain and a second appointment the next week helped even more. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for pain relief and deep tissue healing therapy. The online booking system was easy to use. Parking can be a little difficult in all of Downtown Davis. Its nice that they have a parking lot, although sometimes it is full. If you don't find a spot in the parking lot, there is usually a free spot out front on F street. I also figured out you can park at the Co-op on 6th and G St and walk a couple blocks. More...
