This place will only deal with certain people. Over priced too compared to others. They just want to do easy jobs and will not work with the plans you have in mind. They want to go the expensive route. I found one who was willing to work with my budget and what we wanted done. Stay away! More...

Polite and Professional! I very much appreciated the great work Senga Architects helped me with on helping get a permit submitted to the city for work that needed to be done!

If you want your design done right you can trust Senga Architects to deliver quality designs while communicating the thought process in a friendly and professional manner. I feel they treated the designs for my addition as if they were going to be living in it. I am extremely happy with the service and the finished design! Thank you Firmin More...

He was very helpful with our project as first time home buyers and taught me as a first time home owner how to estimate the price of the project, what contractors we will need for our project, how to read changes by the blueprint and more. ..We plan to work with Senga Architects again in the future. Sega did plans for our very compicated addition to our old house. Project included temporary constrution walls to hold up our second floor, the installation of special structural steel beams to permanently support our existing second floor so the new addition could be tied into the old house. Awsome architect ! He did everything he said he would and finished before our deadline. He was also very fast to respond to all the final changes that were needed towards the end of the project. His structural engineering staff were also very nice and knowledgable. More...

Simply terrible. Drawings have many mistakes, including measurements. There are other issues related to timelines and charges.

Update as of 6.6.2017 Mr Senga has been trying to extort $2,000 from me by refusing to honor our original agreement to finish the plans that would get us a permit from the City of Des Plaines. I will now be delayed 4 weeks hiring another architech . Mr Senga has cost me $10's of thousands in delays as a result of his outrageous business practices. I will have to sue him to get my companies money back.Horrible, Mr Senga came to the house and walked around and we agreed to a price. He continuously tried to get me to pay him more. He agreed to a certain date and passed the deadline, I asked him when I could expect to receive the plans, I got excuses and he became defensive. His first set of plans caused the city to delay the project because they couldn't understand what was happening. It appeared that a lot of the plans were on a template. On the first and second review the comments on some of the plan were told to be changed. We were required to completely redo the plans. I got nothing by excuses, he blamed me and city. The third review came back with more comments. Some comments were a repeat of the second review. Mr Sengas work is sloppy at best. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional architect in 8 years of flipping houses. He acted as if he was the boss. I learned that to get anything done I had to be stern with him. I had to micro manage the process which I find unprofessional. The city did the work for him by telling him what to do which was architector 101.The unbelievable comment was that he had written a rolled roof on a shingle roof. That is just one of a dozen 101 errors. I am forgiving for most things but not for basic errors. It is obvious that he is using unskilled interns and then not taking the time to careful review their work before submitting the product to me the customer. I paid him way to much. The city said we had to redraw they entire project and Mr Senga asked me for $2,000, to add pain to misery. My partner had to leave so as to not blow a cork. He blamed me for everything.I texted him that the comments must be completed on Monday. His response was " I don't like your tone". My response was "What Tone". It is obvious his only interest is in making money. If you wish to have drama in you project than Mr. Senga is your man.He walked off the job. I have to hire a new Architect which I did in 5 minutes. He said good luck, I can't use his drawings, which I paid him money for. He said good luck, now your going to be delayed going through the whole process all over again. I will have to sue him for breach of contract. Which I will do on Monday.A nightmare of architect. More...

Honestly based on my experience with this guy and seeing other reviews I'd predict he's going to have license disciplinary actions in the near future. Fermin and crew do not meet reasonable deadlines, don't honor agreements to proactive correct safety issues, do not keep your best interests in favor, excessively try and shun liability onto you when reasonable requests are made, over design giving little to no consideration for construction cost vs. their inconvenience, and so on. What was ultimately provided had critical errors in it. They truly fail their clients and clients best interests. I'd highly steer clear of them. Fortunately on my project i could see competence issues brooding and was able to get out before getting too vested in them however I will be perusing and believe entitled to a full refund. I had to find another architect for this not too difficult project (a dormer/new floor plans). Fortunately there's a 5 year lookback (statute of limitation) in court related to in writing contracts. Unfortunately due to Senga/Fermin's competence my project is about 2 months behind schedule and can't pursue it immediately but the damages occurred are enough to take Fermin/Senga to file a complaint in Cook County. The suit will include not only the fees for the incompetent work (self inflicted problems) but punitive damages based on holding the project up. More...

Great and easy to work with. Kept me informed and answered every question I had about the City of Chicago permitting and reviews. Met my schedule plan preparation. Fees are very reasonable I would definitely hire them again and, in fact, I continue to use their service on other projects -about to start on our third project together. More...

Senga Architects were very responsive--from the initial contact, to project assessment, planning, and completed drawings--the project principal was always available and every change and question was handled promptly. They were very straight-forward to deal with, we discussed and understood exactly what the scope of the project was, what was expected by each party and by when, and they delivered as promised and on schedule. Not only did they handle these "basics" well, but their experience, expertise, and creativity was evident in their design suggestions and solution proposals--they have done it before, so they know what will work and what won't--and they can explain it to you in a way that you can understand and that makes sense...so the end result is a design that meets your requirements or makes trade-offs that you understand and agree with...
