My 87 year old mother needed to have her roof repaired. When the adjuster from Select Adjusters came out, he told her grandson that she need to sign a form to give him permission to go on the roof. She was busy at the time, so the adjuster said that it was okay for her grandson to sign the form. This was while he was on the ladder, before he had even gone on the roof. When he left, he turned this form into her insurance company as a signed contract for them to do the work, without her permission. After getting other estimates, she selected a different company. When she contacted her insurance company about her selection, that is when she found out that Select Adjusters had submitted a signed a contract. Luckily the grandson is not authorized to sign a contract, so that is the only way she was able to get out of the contract. SENIORS BEWARE!!! More...
