The display on my (older) Apple Watch popped out of the case. It is a special edition, and I really wasn't up for replacing it. Jorge Mendez at SecurePro identified the likely problem as an aging, swelling battery, pushing the display out of the case. Which turned out to be the problem. This is the second time that I needed to use the services of SecurePro in the past 6-months. The first time was after my phone flew off the back of my truck making the screen unusable. The staff replaced the screen within a few days, and it worked perfectly until my second incident. I was so impressed with the staff I took their cards and have referred them to others. Last week I took a few photos of the storm damage and apparently got the screen wetter than I should have. Being out of the warranty period it was necessary to purchase and install another screen. This was a three-day process since the screen had to be ordered. My contacts with Service Specialists Obie Feria and Jackson Jeffers were fantastic. As I dropped the phone off for service, I had the pleasure of watching Jackson assist another couple with their needs, he was patient and insured that he met their needs. I picked up my phone from Obie a couple of hours later and he confirmed that my screen issues were most likely from it getting wet. He explained the process of what he did, I paid my bill, and was off knowing that in the future, I need to be more careful with my phone. I was over the edge when my PC started freezing during teaching on Zoom! I took my computer here and Obie fixed it right up! I continued to struggle with Zoom so I bought a new iMac. I use many programs simultaneously while teaching and buying a better machine seemed the right thing to do. Switching platforms was a big challenge and again Obie was there for me! I had so many questions like how do I stop my iPhone from ringing on my computer while I'm teaching?! Who knew that could even happen! He stopped it right away! He put all my Zoom recordings on a separate hard drive so I can maximize my machine's capability. Obie is incredibly knowledgeable, accesses the problem quickly, and is super kind to his customers. Great service from Jackson who helped me with an Ipad home button which went belly-up on me. He assured me that it could be repaired and had it up and running the same day. I thought I might have had to buy a new Ipad, but Jackson was pretty confident it could be repaired and ended up by saving the day with a repair--which I wasn't even charged for due to it being in the 90-day window for a previous Ipad issue. Don't ask me why or how but my toddler managed to get some glue into the charger port of my iPhone 12 Pro so it wouldn't charge. I took it to Apple and they would need to basically sell me a new phone. I took it to SecurePRO to have them check it out and replace the charging port. Jackson took a look, got a tool in the back, and was able to get my charging port working in a couple of minutes. He saved me so much time and hassle. We have been Apple Mac users since 1990, when we used Mac Superstore in SLO to support our tech needs for our law practice. When the Superstore closed, some of those employees started SecurePRO, and they have met our tech needs since then. Recently, in particular, we received AMAZING customer service from employee JACKSON JEFFERS. He resolved several of our needs, including providing some simple (but necessary) services at no charge to us! Don't hesitate to contact SecurePRO for your local SLO tech needs. It is delightful to find a business as focused and knowledgeable as Secure PRO. Every time I take my computers, phones, and Ipads in for repair or just for questions, I leave with everything fixed as good as new. I am old and need all the help I can get. I'm honestly really disappointed with the way they left my phone. They did a half ass job and the screen is almost popping out and when they ordered the parts for my phone  it didn't come with a SIM card tray? i also paid an extra 25 dollars so they can restore my phone and they didn't end up doing that and they just wasted my time and money will NOT be coming back and do not recommend More...

I have been into the SLO office on three occasions when I needed help with my Mac Book or iPhone. Each time I just needed some guidance to figure out why my device wasn't working the way I expected, suspecting it was probably due to "user ignorance", but needing help just the same. Despite the fact that there was nothing to sell me, Jackson, Ryan and Morgan pooled their expertise  to find the answer if it was not immediately obvious. They refused to take any payment each time. They never make me feel like my problem was too trivial for them to give their full attention to or that I was a technologically oblivious. I hope someday to go to them needing a service or device that I can pay for. They deserve our business. More...

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!  LIFESAVERS!My daughter is up at Cal Poly and had a screen issue on her new Mac Pro and of course I got the Frantic phone call.  Well I called a guy at Caltec Computer and they don't work with Mac but he said that he had a company that was GREAT with Apple equipment...... I went into SecurePro with a problem with the charging port on my iPhone.  I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.  Appeared there was a piece of rice (that I could not see along the side with a high powered light and a magnifying glass))!  My family and I am going to ONLY use this company because of their professional storefront, knowledgeable staff and knowing if I had to leave my phone that it would not get compromised and the work would be professionally done.  I will never use the Apple service/store which has a horribly slow turn around when this gem is here in our county. Needed a $7 little cheap plastic lens cover part to do a repair on my phone. They wouldn't sell it to me unless they did the brought in part of the phone so they could consider it "not selling an individual part", which they "don't do". Instead they wanted me to pay $40 so they could spend 10 seconds pressing a rectangular plastic part into a rectangular opening in another plastic part.  How about just helping a customer out and selling me what I wanted and charging me 100% mark up at $14. What happened to places that will just help a customer out when they are in a bind for a part that costs your store literally a few bucks. You can sell me thermal paste or a battery, but you "can't" sell me a plastic lens cover because in infringes on you wanting to make $$$ for a specialized repair. I'll be looking to give my business elsewhere anytime I can. More...

Seems James does not work there anymore per the response below thus i upgraded this to 3, but it is unclear as he seems to still go by SecurePro.  More on the update soon.Our experience with James sadly was that he was unprofessional, terrible communication, and lack of solutions and knowledge.Please note we've given him ample time to step up to the plate. We once  thought he was really great.  Over the years sure we've had some issues like when he took our speakers to sell them and didn't return them for months and months. However when it came to installing the new TV or doing check ups on our fake whole house AV system, we thought he was doing a fine job. However we were very wrongSorry to say that we have had so many issues with James going dark. He will just disappear. It's been months since he came to address an issue. He was going to get some additional resources or just put us in touch with them. Our music system is not workingAt one point I wondered if he was OK gotten sick or worse. It was one thing to wait sometimes six weeks when he would go dark but this time it's been many many months as I said. This is not acceptable. If someone is going through an issue at home or professionally and they need to take a break then have someone communicate that. The lack of professionalism here is staggering. He also seems to be not as dialed up about Solutions. I hope I'll be able to update this review in a positive manner and that he will step up. We've given him ample opportunity. More...

kinda conflicted with this review.I have been using a Samsung 9S for a while but continued using my Iphone 6S  for Itunes. The screen of the 6S was badly cracked so I brought it in, this was around six months ago now. They repaired it, and about a week or two later the battery went dead. So i put it on the shelf where it sat this entire time, in an Otter Box. Unused the entire time after I had the screen replaced by them.Fast forward to current. I need to access some data on the Iphone. I brought it in to have the battery replaced. They did so in under two hours. I told them when I dropped off the Iphone I would be bringing in My Mac Book Pro for repair.The man handed me the Iphone 6S and I immediately noticed a crack in the screen. I did not think it was there when I dropped it off and said so. He pointed to a sign that said some nonsense about not inspecting Phones when dropped off due to Covid. Some real BS there. I have been a plumber for decades and The second I notice something wrong when i go to some ones home i point it out. Any Technician worth a single Grain of Sand would have noticed the cracked screen when I handed it to him and made Note of it, right then, and on the invoice.I cannot be %100 certain the crack wasnt there, but I am %100 certain, had I been the Tech I would have noticed it and pointed it out and made a notation of it.  I will be looking elsewhere to have my Mac Book Pro 17" repaired now.Weather or not they cracked it or not, they certainly should have noticed. Came in rather announced last week. We had an IPad with vacation pictures that we could not get to charge. I called around and pretty much was told IF someone could fix it it would be really expensive and of course Apple said to just buy a new one.  Brought it to Secure Pro and he dug a tiny piece of (?)  out of the charging port and plugged it right there and it charged! We're back in business! And because it only took him a couple of minutes, he didn't even charge us! Highly recommend going to see them first! More...

The GOOD: actual work done was great, and would recommend them for the work they did on my phone.<br>The BAD: service, and here is what my opinion of their service is based on:<br>I contracted with SP replace the housing of my cell phone, and paid a deposit in advance so the replacement item could be ordered.  The SP salesman Edwin R handled the preparation of the contract and collection of the deposit.  SP called me on a Friday to say the replacement part had arrived, and for me to come in on the following Monday for the work to be done.  When I arrived at SP to leave my cell phone for the work to be done, the salesman Edwin R said SP couldn't do the work that day because the technician with the expertise to do the work wasn't going to be in until Wednesday.  So I told the salesman Edwin R that I'd bring my phone in when SP opened up at 10 AM on Wednesday so the expert technician could do the work.<br>When I arrived at opening time on Wednesday, the salesman Edwin R said that he was going to do the replacement part work because SP provided service on a "first come, first served" basis, and the expert technician was busy with other work and therefore wasn't available to do the replacement work on my phone.  I feel that since the salesman Edwin R had rescheduled the work on my phone to be done on Wednesday by the expert technician due to SP staffing issues, that my contracted work was "in line" since Monday.  Also, I felt unsure that the salesman Edwin R would be able to do the replacement work on my phone that the expert technician was meant to do, since Salesman Edwin R felt he couldn't do the work when I first brought the phone in on Monday, as requested by SP.  <br>When I returned two hours later, the replacement work had not been done, and was told to come back in another two hours so that salesman Edwin R could do the work.  When I returned to pick up my phone that afternoon, I requested that the old part of my phone that had been replaced to be given to me.  The salesman Edwin R said SP couldn't return the part to me because SP had to send it to the parts dealer to get credit for it.  That I would not be able to retrieve the old part that was replaced is not listed on the SP work contract I signed.<br><br>UPDATE: More GOOD: I received a phone call from Secure Pro management the day after I posted the above review.  Management said that they take customer service and satisfaction very seriously and are discussing changes to procedures to ensure that service will be provided in a timely manner.  I feel that it is very nice for Secure Pro to contact me to assure me that they read the review and are responding to my concerns.  I reiterated to Management that I was completely satisfied with the actual repair work, and would use their service in the future should I have need for their expertise. I would highly recommend SecurePRO for computer repair. I spilled coffee on my MacBook keyboard and was sure it would never work again. It was Memorial Day and even though the store was closed, Alex the manager responded to my Yelp inquiry about service. They were totally transparent about the process and what my options were. Thanks to their fast service my computer is working again. Although with liquid damage there are no guarantees, I am thankful that I can get as much use out of it as possible.<br>FYI, with liquid damage getting it into repair ASAP while still wet is crucial. Save yourself the headache and go some where else! <br><br>I took my Samsung Galaxy S6 in for a screen repair and battery replacement. I was told that Obid was the Android expert and would fix my phone. When I went to retrieve my phone I found that they had broken and improperly installed the back glass. Their solution to this matter was to give me a $10.00 dollar discount. Not for breaking the back glass, but for not telling me that when they swap batteries that can happen. <br><br>This is the email from there repair specialist:<br><br>"Just want to inform you that the S6 is ready for pick up. <br><br>One thing that we for for to mention when we talked on the phone was the back glass is aftermarket and it can crack and that did happen to the back glass. I gave you $10off the repair since we should of told you that could happen. <br><br>Obie F.<br>Repair Technician"<br><br>WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH 10.00 DOLLARS? No shop will fix the back screen for 10.00 dollars. I went to iMechanics because my warranty company (Square Trade) recommended them. Square Trade should NOT recommend this shop! The quality of their work is beyond sub standard. Now I have a phone with a broken back glass at no fault of my own. I called Abe several years ago when I kicked my late wife's idiot son out of the house for good, before he went back to jail. Between him and his sister, I knew I needed the BEST security system to protect my house, my dogs, my cars and of course, myself. <br><br>Not only was SecurePro VERY reasonable, but when I explained what I wanted, Abe designed a system that covered the outside of my house with night vision motion sensitive cameras that cover every possible way to enter my house, but he also placed monitor cameras throughout my house that are motion sensitive and activate when the alarm system is activated away. Of course, every door and window in the house is attached to the alarm system, so setting the "stay" alarm at night gives me a great sense of safety. <br><br>Adding in the smoke/fire sensors and the carbon monoxide sensors, and unless I stationed a Marine Platoon in my yard, my house couldn't be safer.<br><br>And saving the best for last, there is NO DVR to be destroyed or stolen. As soon as ANY camera is activated, it transmits the pictures/video up to SecurePro's secure server. Of course, I can access my system from anywhere in the world on my phone/tablet/laptop with the app or just at <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2FAlarm.com&amp;s=9004d69b919b7186414d46d9c247b4d80b0e3590845905c560e9b690ea9b8885" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Alarm.com</a> and can do everything that I can do standing at my panel in the house, plus I can lock or unlock my front door. <br><br>I did a LOT of research before making my decision and I've never had a second's doubt or regret. Abe and his crew and the most professional, polite, honest and dedicated people I've ever worked with on any of the alarms for my old retail stores. I wish he was around when I had my stores :-)))<br><br>I've never had any problems at all, and if I do have a question, I almost ALWAYS have Abe answer the phone when I call. If he's busy or on the other line, I ALWAYS get a call back the same day, usually within an hour. <br><br>Basically, I can't recommend Abe and SecurePro any higher, because they are at the top of the LARGE pile of alarm companies. James and his crew are the greatest squad I've ever done tv/audio business with.  Every room in my house they have set up perfectly.  Deals I find on Best Buy or Amazon - James always seems find better.  If anything goes wrong with my electricity/outage and I need products re set - James and his crew respond to the house faster than the security response company I use. <br>When products I have malfunction its James that deals with the warranties and gets items replaced.  I could keep writing for days about how awesome their services but you should get the point by now. James and his crew are great.  They installed a small home network for me that is infinitely more stable and robust than what I was using from the cable company.  They installed things neatly and were friendly and informative throughout.  And to top it off, when I lost record of my WiFi password James had no problem giving me a prompt call (after normal business hours) to help me dig successfully through some system files to unlock it.  A great team with excellent customer service..
