Pretty nice restaurant and the ambience was nice. Definitely a nice place to go for date night. I ordered the cove oyster for starter, Parmesan crusted tilapia for entree and the creme brûlée for dessert. I also ordered an old fashioned and I'm assuming because of how busy the restaurant was that night the server either forgot or it took a while because I got that on the house. Pretty busy inside and everything I ordered was delicious. The oysters were a pretty decent size and so fresh when I got them. I definitely want to come back here for other things they offer on the menu. More...

Maybe not the cheapest in town but absolutely with value for money! I went alone (business trip), had no reservation and found the restaurant full, but they allow dining and “free” seating in the bar area - offering the same menu opportunities as in the restaurant. The menu is comprehensive! Lots of fish - raw or cooked - though also offering beef and chicken alternatives. But please remember that you entered a seafood restaurant. The liquor, cocktails and wine offerings are also extensive. 5 pages of whisky! I went for a grilled wild salmon and was not disappointed! The fish was delicious and the sides well chosen and prepared. I would definitely go there again - next time probably preparing with a reservation... More...

The seafood eating family loves this restaurant though I am more of a meat and potatoes person. Luckily the same chef also runs John Howie Steakhpuse. The food and service are very nice, definitely a place to treat yourself. More...

So let me say that I enjoyed the Seastar Restaurant. They do a very good job on both the food and service. So why should I not give them 5 stars? Given that we are on the coast, I was expecting much higher. The food was not any different from what I can get in the Midwest at Jeff Ruby's Louisville, or a Bistro 1860, for example. Let me say that their oysters were wonderful. I've always had a preference for Gulf oysters, and these oysters certainly won me over. I also ordered a shrimp cocktail, and it was fine. It was not memorable. I tried a couple pieces of Dungeness crab, and it was great. But why do you put fish roe on the Dungeness crab? Crab needs no enhancement of flavor. I scraped the roe off, and just ate the crab. More...

Very good food. I got the cedar plank salmon and really enjoyed the rich flavor. They cook their salmon to a medium which really brings out a good salmon flavor. Highly recommend this restaurant. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. One of the best restaurants I've eaten in. Will be shut down soon for a modernization but if open, don't miss. Ask for Kelley as your waitress, she is as good as the food. More...

Five star experience all around. The hostess was sweet and welcoming, the sommelier was charming and experienced, and our waiter was lights out with a fine attention to detail. The food was nothing short of brilliant. The raw bar was fresh and full of flavor, the Cod was amazing - prepared with a mesmerizing blend of spiced curry and coconut milk, and the sharable coconut cream pie was perfect way wrap up the meal. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Tony, the manager, took great care of us. We brought our 2 year old and after he got her a high chair, we joked that he didn’t get one for her baby dolls. He came back 2 minutes later with a handmade baby doll high chair from to go boxes - it really looked like one. It was adorable and made our night!! More...

Excellent experience and food overall. Three people for dinner on a Saturday night. My only point of negative feedback is that I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium, confirmed by the server on both counts. Not a big deal unless you're paying 65 bucks for a steak. However, our waiter immediately offered to comp dessert to make up for it, so the wait staff and establishment is acutely aware of what excellent customer service means. High praise for the mushroom starter and the macadamia nut scallops were both spectacular. More...

Still trying to get my head wrapped around that you charge $3 for the bread basket now and you are making it in house. The new look is cool but the wait staff look like they work at a tavern or brewery now - not a fan of the new outfits.

Front desk staff very nice, waiter the best I have ever encountered. He was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, clean, new the product to the "T" and wore a Seahawk blue Wilson jersey. The servers were polite, efficiently perfect. The food was wonderful and as it was set before me my mouth water like Snoqualmie Falls. Crab cakes, lobster mac & cheese with a trio desert rounded out the perfect dinning experience. A must do kind of place to experience. $$$$ More...

My wife and I had gone for restaurant week which was amazing. The pork chop was delicious. It had been cooked crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. With the combination of being perfectly cooked the flavor explodes in your mouth. One of the best pork chops I've had. It was paired with butternut squash and potatoes which added additional flavor as they had been cooked in brown butter. The dish was a perfect tint of spice and sweetness.

The panna cotta was perfect. It had passion fruit, kiwi, and raspberries with a green tea syrup. I guess I can compare it to eating a starburst without the chewy consistency as it melted in your mouth.

We had a few other dishes which was amazing like the butternut squash soup (rich and warm) and the ahi (refreshing). But the above were my favorites of the evening. The service was also impeccable.

What a delicious place for dinner. My husband and I came up to Seattle to celebrate our 11year wedding anniversary. The ahi poke as appetizer was superb, the filet mignon my husband had, the king salmon I ordered and the vanilla bean Creme brulee as well as the chocolate lava cake with raspberry ice cream with just heaven! I felt we waited for our food for a longer time, but it was all good! There were several tables around us that did not have their orders correct, but ours sure did! Will happily fine here again and I will be getting the filet mignon this time!! More...

Stopped in for a lunch date, after not having been to Seastar for years. The decor has changed a bit, such.that the place feels a little more open than before and the menu has been refreshed a bit as well. For a restaurant, John Howie has a great bar (try the mojitos!)..and the sushi is really good. Some classics remain on the menu (like shrimp cocktail) so never fear. More...

Visited for my Birthday. The Food is INCREDIBLE. The design and decor is worth more than a 5 Star Diamond rating. Whoever designed the interior was a visionary and should be thanked immensely. Would have given them a higher rating EXCEPT...I felt certain items on the menu were a little overpriced. They are milking their location and therefore over inflating the prices on much of the items on the menu. We are usually comfortable with paying high end price for upscale dining but I felt they were a bit far on the appetizer Tower to share for only 4 people and charged $54. I thought the flavor was right on point but it turned out to be an average of $12/person for 3 pieces of appetizer items. However fantastic the flavor may have been, not sure the price was worth that. Overall, I would still visit SEASTAR again because the wait staff and personnel were professional, friendly, attentive and courteous. We had an amazing evening... That's all that matters in the end.
