Q&As

I love to help people recognize their full potential and live it out on a daily basis. I love to help others heal from life experiences which may have been traumatic and help them to use the experience as a stepping stone and not a stumbling block.

Being able to set my own schedule and be flexible for my family and other passions.

I am a safe place for people to working through the healing process and move toward their goals. I have many years of experience working in human services and mental health. I have contracted with government entities (i.e. social services, juvenile courts, probation, etc.) to provide services to individuals and families.

Services can be provided online through a secure Zoom link.

We want to establish a focused, goal-oriented team approach with each other that is as transparent as possible. We will all work together to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect, honesty, and safety; emotionally and physically. During both team meetings and individual sessions, I will work with the couple to:

· Identify goals, clarify interests and concerns
· Provide useful communication tips
· Reduce misunderstandings and reduce emotional intensity
· Provide specific tools for problem-solving and overcoming obstacles
· Work collaboratively with the couple, their attorneys and other involved professionals
· Develop practical parent/co-parenting skills for the sake of the children involved.

I provide a committed service to families that have children removed from the home or are soon to be returned to the home. I meet with families virtually and in the home to monitor, observe and teach parents practical Love Based Parenting Skills that can be used to heal dys-function within the family. I report to Social Workers, Court Services Unit, Judges, and or Probation as needed to educate all interested parties as to the true nature of problems that exist within the home and the corrective measures that have been implemented. I educate parents on: fear, stress and trauma effects on the body and brain.

Supervised visitation can be used as a step down service for custodial and non custodial parents. The goal is to offer parenting advice as well as eliminating conflict during parental interaction. Supervised visitation is often court ordered by a guardian ad litem. The counselor will observe and report sessions to case managers or GAL’s. The final goal of supervised visitation is to eliminate supervision. With effective parenting the natural flow of co-parenting will be established.

I coach and counsel clients in personal and professional arenas, such as: career, personal development, spiritual development, relationships, divorce, grief, and even financial wellness.
