Great, classic Italian food! All the flavors were spot on and we were able to enjoy the meal while we gazed out at Puget Sound. It was an amazing way to celebrate an anniversary. Thanks La Rustica! More...

When we went everyone talked about how good it was before the switch of ownership but we had a fantastic time! The server was super attentive and had good beer recommendations. The calamari- I could drink that sauce it's in for days! The boar shank is mouthwatering tender and juicy. The outside is totally unassuming but the food inside is just to die for! More...

Great service! Also, the dessert we ordered to celebrate my daughter's birthday was to die for! And it still has the great ambience that it's always had. It was a lovely evening! Thanks!

I just had the pleasure of dining at this lovely Italian restaurant with my family and let's just say the chocolate cake is the BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD! !!! Do yourself a favor and order the chocolate cake..just trust me. The owner even came out to talk a bit after I was raving about how amazing this cake was. She was so kind and gave the restaurant an even warmer feeling. The carbonara, bread, wine and salad were absolutely delicious and the ambiance was just wonderful. Thank you La Rustica for the memorable evening! More...

I love this place. I have been there two times now while visiting Seattle. On Sunday evening we didn't make the reservations list, however, they told us if we came at the first service, 5 pm, they should be able to get us in within 30-45 minutes. We did just that and were seated within the quoted time they gave us.We had a wonderful waitress and the courses were spaced out fantastically. It gave us more than enough time to enjoy each course and not feel rushed. This places reminds me of an old school, east coast, Italian restaurant. They have tons of different options for the pasta lovers out there!Grazie, La Rustica! More...

Loved this place! Charming intimate atmosphere, excellent playlist of 20th ct standards, but not loud, thank god; you can actually have a conversation. Great menu. Food very good. Some dishes a bit oversalted (e.g. caesar salad), but excellent flavors & textures. Chef/owner Vita is charming and sociable. She came out to our table at the end of our meal just to say hi and chatted with us for a pleasant little while. Nice surprise because we were not VIPs. I would gladly go back. Small place so you may have to wait. More...

Wonderful food in a lovely environment! Great jazz, excellent service (Vita is a marvel), and skilled chefs. My new favorite Italian restaurant! Try the gnocchi when you get the chance, followed by chocolate cake that may make it difficult to drive home. (I do wish they had more vegetarian options!) More...

Found this gem of a restaurant last minute and absolutely adore it. It's small and tucked away. I had no idea this place existed so close to alki. We were seated outside right by the gate so I had an awesome view of the water. We were quickly served with a large plate of focaccia (YUM). It was warm and super flavorful on its own. We devoured the bread. I regret not asking for more because it was that good. Our martinis were LARGE. I've never received a martini glass that large in my life. But my raspberry martini was just mediocre imo. Their menu was large and the food here wowed us! We were surprised to find out each dish comes with a side salad that they serve BEFORE your main entree so that was a nice surprise. We had no idea and thought they brought us our someone else's salad oops. Risotto was too knotch - cooked to perfection and was just rich without being too overwhelming. I opted for the sausage one. This place is amazing for a date night or just dinner in a lovely place. Highly recommend for great eats and amazing atmosphere, plus the prices are very reasonable More...

Classic West Seattle staple. La Rustica has been around for awhile, it's a gem and I know a lot of people love this place. Shame it took so long to make a visit here (space cadet). Came here for dinner with my siblings, nice place to spend some time catching up. It's a small quaint place. We tried to sit outside but it was full so inside we went. Staff are all very friendly and sweet. I got the Linguine Di Mare, my brother ordered Linguine Alla Vongole, and our sister ordered Polenta Con Maiale. We had ordered baked oyster but it never came out so our server comped us one dessert on the house. Dinner was really good. I enjoyed the red sauce in my linguine, dont think I can ever go back to any jar sauce. Flavors were great, very garlicky and not so heavy on the salt. I tried my sister dish and the baby back ribs were so tender and delicious. For dessert we ordered the 3 berry tiramisus, honestly didnt know what I was expecting but it was SO good. Even my brother who doesn't have a sweet tooth was trying to get a piece of it haha. I'm already planning to come back because the Risotto is calling my name. More...

Not often around the city do you get such a large Italian menu like La Rustica offers. With such a variety of different pastas on the menu, I recommend taking the family and doing family style. Try to make it down on a nice day and sit outside, their outdoor patio made me feel like I was back in Sorrento. This is easily becoming a every other week spot we both enjoy and look forward to each time. More...

Great date night place .Get the stuffed cannelloni!!I love this little place. You can tell they love to make delicious food. We are never disappointed with the quality or quantity. The wine list is good and reasonably priced. They usually offer affagato for dessert which is my favorite. We've had the lamb, the oxtail, gorgonzola steak, seafood stew, spaghetti and meatballs, etc and it's all CONSISTENTLY good. It can get a bit crowded but they have outside seating and if you are willing to wait for it, it's worth it. Can't say enough about this place - just go and enjoy!!! More...

OVERALL: 9.2/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.6/5 = 5/5). In a nutshell, this was a quaint, randomly romantic Tuesday evening. My partner and I were walking around the Alki Beach area (on the west side of the peninsula), when we passed by "La Rustica" . Later, walking back to our car, my partner decided to go in, and discovered it was an Italian restaurant (5:30pm), There were not many folks seated inside (but the deck was poppin' off), so we asked if we could get a table, without a reservation. We got to sit next to the window facing Elliott Bay!Verdict: This place is incredible -- I love that West Seattle has three of the best Italian restaurants in Seattle - this place, Raccolto, and Il Nido, all in the same neighbourhood!1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 9/10. The menu is fairly extensive - two pages for food, two pages for drinks (1.5 pages of wine selection), and a page for dessert. Between the physical menu and the FOUR daily specials the waiter rattled off, it felt like a decent amount of variety and selection for someone to choose from.If I ever come here again, and they have it, I'm ordering the lamb shank - the wait staff mentioned it was more popular, but this first time around I wanted to try the Osso Bucco.2) FRESHNESS: 9.5/10. I'll talk about the food from start to finish (chronologically). Starting off, the bread (especially with oil and vinegar) were incredible; I almost ordered more bread, but I knew I had to save room for dessert. The salad (that came with the mains - thank gosh we didn't order the appetizers, we'd never have room for dessert) tasted REALLY good - it had fresh ingredients, it didn't taste too oily, and it packed a lot of different flavours onto a small plate. My partner's linguine was delicious - the noodles had the taste of seafood in them, and the seafood itself was delicious. The osso bucco I ordered was slow-cooked, and fell off the bone; 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. We ordered two mains, two desserts, and I ordered a beer; it came out to $120 after tax and tip. To me, that's actually pretty good - especially for a small business. The breakdown made sense: $11 each for the desserts, $5.50 for the beer, $28 for the Linguine di Mare, and $33-ish for the Osso Bucco. The main dishes came with a starter salad, which was awesome, and the portion sizes were reasonably big for the mains and desserts.4) SERVICE: 9.5/10. Water refills were never too far away, but the "Help Wanted" sign at the door should be somewhat of a signal to you (as the customer) - this place definitely needs more staff! Overall, service was great - our orders came out reasonably quickly; I was able to get the bill without too much hassle, but there were definitely some lead times that I had to wait for, since the (three? four total?) wait staff were literally circling around each of the tables (even when it wasn't busy - this must have been stressful), rattling off the memorized daily specials (there were four, and they're not easy to say).5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 8.5/10. From the outside it looks like an unassuming restaurant - when you go inside, it looks and feels like Italy. There's a picture of the Amalfi coast on one wall, and the other wall is decorated like an Italian rustic homely interior. Definitely created a home-cooked vibe.By the time we left (around 6:30pm), the restaurant was more full; when we had arrived, it felt like the evening was just getting started. More...

My husband and I use to celebrate every anniversary at La Rustica, Janie and Giu;io were so amazing, but when the restaurant closed around Covid, we thought they were done. To our delight, it was bought by Cat and reopened. Not much has changed -still great food! We got the oyster appetizer (Ostriche al forno) to start - always delicious. He ordered the steak with gorgonzola (Filetto al gorgonzola) and I got the pesto salmon (Salmon Filet) . Oh my gosh! I devoured every single bite, it was so good! (I did give my hubby one bite, just to keep the peace) They used to have amazing creme brulee, but not anymore, however, they have so many other wonderful desserts, just try one. We are going back for fathers day just for another reason to go back. Lol More...
