First of all, I have not been to a salon in yeeeeeeeears because I don't trust anyone with my hair. I have curly hair and I've had terrible experiences in the past so I rather not. Barbara, one of the stylist at Scisters was recommended by a friend. She was constantly raving about how good she is with color and I had been wanting to lighten my hair for the summer so I decided to finally make and appointment and get it done. I believe I did reschedule once or twice because again, I was scared to actually go through with it. Anyway, long story short, Barbara killed it with the color, didn't hurt my tender head, enjoyed a few glasses of champagne while getting my hair done, and I would recommend her to anyone. Melissa and Easton are great! I have been coming to them for a little over three years after moving here from the midwest. I had always gone to a barber or some less than "fantastic" place. A friend recommended I try Scisters and I have been hooked ever since! Unlike a lot of places, I never have to tell them how I like my hair or what length. I've been going to this salon for over 6 years! Started with a groupon and stayed because of the great work they do. I primarily see Melissa for my cut and color. She makes me look and feel wonderful time after time. Sometimes I know what I want when I come in and she does it, sometimes I'm indecisive and let her use her best judgement and I've never been disappointed. She took me from nearly black hair to platinum blonde over several months and I suffered no damage to my hair at all. I had my hair appointment this past Saturday (haven't been to a salon in over 10 years because my hair is curly and I've had bad experiences in the past) and I must say my experience was awesome! I found this salon with a Yelp search of 'whats near me'. I was in desperate need of a haircut- this salon came up-with a Group deal (win! ) I was right across the street from the salon. So even though the groupn said with appointment- I took a chance and went in- They were able to take me right away- they gave me a tour of the salon, really made me feel welcome- just just sit down, wash your hair and get out! The groupon came with a color treatment- amazing!!! Their hair wash/treatment area felt like I was in a high end spa- great head massage, soothing music, lights dimmed.. it was tranquil.. On top of that the stylist, Taylor was amazing!! She totally understood what I wanted- I walked out feeling like I was leaving a good friend.. So glad I found this place! I needed a haircut and wanted to donate my hair. Taylor cut my hair for free (since I was donating) and she did a great job. ..exactly what I asked for. Great experience. I arrived a bit early for my appointment so Easton showed me around. I dont think any other salon does that. I knew what cut I wanted, but wasn't too sure about the color. I wanted a full color with highlights and Taylor helped me. She did an awesome job. She as patient, very friendly, and very gentle. I loved the outcome so much I made a followup appt. Really happy with my overall experience. My hair was extremely over processed and damaged when I walked in for a treatment and cut (thank you Groupon for giving me the push to try a new place! ). Easton was professional and immediately assessed that I'd benefit most from a marula oil treatment...and boy did I! My hair felt amazing after the treatment and cut. I purchased a groupon last Friday and scheduled an appointment for this past Saturday. My stylist was Taylor. She was wonderful and the tea tree conditioning treatment left my hair refreshed! This salon was fabulous.  It's owned by two friends who are "sisters at heart."  They make you feel very welcome with their warm smiles and friendly nature.  It was a breeze booking my appointment...they have a great online tool!  I elected to donate my hair to Locks of Love, and for that, my cut was complimentary!  I ended up buying some shampoo and conditioner, but was not pressured to do so like other salons seem to do.  Melissa was my stylist, and I think she did a great job. I saw Melissa and she was GREAT!! I loved my cut and color, I have since been back several times! The salon is very clean and quaint, they use Paul Mitchell products which are amazing, and the conditioning massage treatments are such a treat. No reason to go anywhere else!

What a cute salon!  I didn't imagine I'd be getting a semi-spa treatment with my groupon.  The conditioner was so relaxing, the haircut was exactly  what I wanted.  Most times I walk out with a huge poof on my head because the hairdresser thinks I want volume on my thinning hair. I walked out so happy, and I plan on going back for haircuts and eyebrow waxing. The place is really serene. I loved it!! I was referred here a few years ago by a friend and I love it! I have been in San Diego almost 6 years and never had a salon that I would go to consistently until I went here. Everyone here is friendly and they have good music playing. I personally go to Easton, but I know anyone would do a great job. Easton does a wonderful job and even with just a vague explanation of what I want, I am always happy when I leave here. They also do quarterly sessions where you can learn things from how to do an up-do or blow-dry your hair, teaching you techniques and letting you try it yourself while they help you. Groupon purchase.Great customer service! Super friendly on the phone, called on Friday had a appointment for Saturday morning. Walked in was greeted warmly, asked if I wanted coffee or water.
