What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is that I get to do what I love most. That is, to use what I am good at (strategic business planning, organizational architecture, operations design, and people empowerment) in order to help others find fulfillment through building their own dream life’s work and having their own positive impact on the world. Little brings me greater joy than helping others achieve the success that they were destined to achieve while making the world a better place.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After nearly a decade of building a start up into a mature, well-established company and realizing the personal perks of a great salary and work-life balance that went along with this success, I still felt profoundly unfulfilled. Analyzing this feeling led me to the realization that all I had achieved was focused on self and to the benefit of a select few working at this company. A deep need awoke in me and called me to expand my positive impact in the world by helping a wider community of entrepreneurs. At Schala we believe that businesses (for profit or otherwise) have unlimited potential to do good for their owners, employees, communities, and the world at large, and we founded Schala to support these businesses and their founders. We do so by offering people community and support as they embark on their exciting (and at many times terrifying) entrepreneurial journeys. Our own positive impact is amplified by the positive impact our clients have in their communities and that is why we exist. Schala was created to offer truly high-quality consulting services at actual affordable rates so that small and medium businesses’ have more resources available for their own sustainable and impactful growth. In short, we cut our profits so that you can increase your positive impact on your community and the world and this makes us very happy.
