I’ve not been to Scenic View Restaurant since 1971 or 1972. That’s when I worked there. Bill and Mary Hall were the owners then.

We made reservations for the Candlelight Dinner for Valentine's Day, which by the way, there were zero candles. We waited for 10 minutes as the hostess and someone else tried to figure out where we were to sit with a barely half full restaurant. Our service was terrible. If we needed it, we had to ask for it... water, another drink, check, etc. Our waitress walked by about 6 times and finally we would just have to ask her to get us what we needed. Our salads came out about 30 minutes after ordering and then if course, our entrees came out about 3 minutes later. The "special menu" was just an overpriced different rendition of what already existed in the regular menu. We come here because it's close to the lake. The service is never spectacular but has never been this awful! And being a special night, you would think the servers would put in a little extra effort. I watched my beer sit on the bar for about 10 minutes before it was brought to me. However, we did see another male server who seemed to be really on it. Too bad he wasn't our server. Where is the management during all of this? No one from management was coming around to check on customers on a special evening to make sure everything was okay. Overall, our main complaint is the service. The server would just come out and just look around the room and then go back to the back again without even asking anyone if they needed anything.
