Scatterridge Lodge - Gatlinburg, TN Weddings

We were married at Scatterridge in February. I have to say that the owner Pat was fantastic! She treated us like family. Our photographer on the other hand was a lady named Genelda and she was awful. Our pictures were nothing like what you see on the website. They were not professional at all. They were action shots and plenty of them. And she did not offer the stream, waterfall or mountain view, that they claim on the site. They were taken in Pat's back yard. All my photos were taken from behind us as we were being married. Pictures of our backs! They looked like a child took them. The price was $200.00, that includes 20- 4x6 and that's the package. I had trouble choosing 20 I liked. You can choose more but you pay an insanely amount. We are going to a real professional now that we are home. Even though we paid for the mountain view we will miss out because of poor photography. Buyer beware!! Before you commit ask who the photographer is and if Pat says Genelda, RUN LIKE HELL!! Unless there's others to choose from, you will be sorry. More...

My husband and I were married at Scatterridge Lodge on 9/15/17 and the day couldn't have been more perfect. I've seen photos of the lodge/ceremony area prior to booking and it looked even better in person. I was concerned about having 40+ people having to take a shuttle up the mountain to the lodge for a 7 minute ceremony and photos but it was more than worth it. Just hearing the guests say how much they loved the venue, the view, and Pat - made it all worth it. We didn't have the reception here because we opted to have it back at our accommodations, but the inside is beautiful. It's low lit with a huge bay window overlooking the mountains and with some charming rustic elements to it. If you're looking to get married in the Smokies, I guarantee you this will be worth every penny. Also, the live guitarist was amazing! I contacted other brides before choosing this venue and the only negative one of them had to say was that there wasn't AC in the lodge but they also said that it didn't seem to matter. I got married when it was sunny and 81 degrees outside with a heavy dress on and it was comfortable in the changing bedroom and the lodge common areas so for me, this was a non issue. I had my wedding at Scatterridge just a couple weeks ago and it was absolutely beautiful. The view is just breathtaking, the pictures can’t do it justice. Pat was incredibly sweet and handled every detail, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food and music were great, and the shuttle for guests (we had around 50) was a very nice feature as parking at the venue is pretty limited. I requested a cake with an unusual design, but the baker did an excellent job recreating it. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day, and I highly recommend Scatterridge to anyone wanting to get married in the Gatlinburg area! More...
