We used Jorden and her team to cater for our intimate wedding at a villa outside Monterey, and we couldn't have wished for more. We were flying in from the UK for our wedding, and Jorden and her team could not have been more helpful: quick responses, suggestions, site visits. Their support took all the stress away. The menu was exactly want we wanted, and when they arrived they just delivered! We LOVED the delicious food, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it for days! Jorden catered my intimate Big Sur wedding with 12 guests (+1 vendor), and she was wonderful to work with.  Of course the food was outstanding - delicious, and the appetizers in particular were beautifully arranged. But what really made Jorden (and her staff) stand out is exceptional professionalism and customer service. She was excellent at communicating and really easy to work with, even though I both am very particular and arranged everything last minute (~1 mo before the event). She also coordinated rentals (from Alexis, for a reasonable fee), which was really helpful. Everything was set up in a way that from the time Jorden & staff arrived to when they left, I didn't have to worry about a thing - everything was perfectly cleaned up at our venue site. Overall, Jorden and her staff were exactly what we needed - professionals who took care of everything behind the scenes so that we could just relax and enjoy our small, intimate family wedding without worry. Jorden and her team catered our wedding in Big Sur in June and she was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire year (! !) of planning. We initially chose to work with Jorden because she didn’t feel like just another caterer – she immediately took the time to talk to us and we could tell right away that she was really passionate about her work. Not to mention, all of her food looked amazing and we loved that we could serve everything family style. We had the hardest time choosing what to serve because every single thing on the sample menu sounded so delicious.

Jorden was also accommodating to all of our requests and needs – we wanted to bring our own oysters from Tomales Bay and she provided a chef to shuck the oysters and made a special oyster station with delicious mignonette, hot sauce, and lemon wedges. She made a fresh lemon juice rosemary gin cocktail for our specialty cocktail and it was awesome - people were raving about them all night. Seriously, outstanding service, attention, and organization throughout.

Come wedding day, the food was absolutely amazing and her team was so incredibly kind to us and all of our guests. And everything looked beautiful! We would 100% recommend Savory Events to anyone. Thank you so much for making our wedding so memorable! More...

We hosted a party for 40 people in our home. The Savory Event caterer (Jorden) provided hot hors d'oeuvres that were cooked at the house. Jorden guided us on the number of servings needed and everyone ate their fill. She and her staff brought all of their supplies into the house without a commotion and proceeded to pull it all together in a quiet and professional way. Savory Events (Jorden) was great to work with, there was clear communication, fast response times,  and she really worked with our budget. Her food was outstanding to say the least, our guests are still talking about it a year later if that tells you anything! To start off the evening we had cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres which consisted of an Artisan Spanish Cheese Display with Seasonal Berries & Crusty Baguette Slices and Heirloom Tomato & Fresno Chile Gazpacho Shots. For dinner we had a Spanish buffet which included Garlicky Shrimp with Avocado Oil, Spanish Chicken with Chorizo & Olives, Alcachofas al Ajillo, Fingerling Patatas Bravas, Toasted Marcona Almonds, and Smoky Lemon Aioli. The condiment bar was amazing and included Pickled Vegetables, Roasted Olives & Garlic, Salmorejo (Gazpacho Dip), Dates & Crumbled Bacon, and Blistered Padron Peppers & Sea Salt. Everything was excellent, not only was this the best wedding food we've ever had, it was also one of the best meals we've ever had, and we consider ourselves "foodies." Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Jorden's food played an integral role in that, if I could do it all over again I wouldn't hesitate to hire her and her crew. More...

Jorden catered our wedding rehearsal dinner in Aptos on Sept. 1 for 30 people. She was easy to work with, arrived on time, and prepared the meal onsite so everything was hot and fresh. There were some big eaters in the group, so I worried that there might not be enough food. But everyone ate their fill and enjoyed it. We had the steak kabobs, lemon-crusted sea bass, heirloom stuffed tomatoes, fingerling potatoes and several vegetarian plates. Everything I tasted was first rate and others also commented favorably. The cost was about $50/person, including tableware and glasses. Jorden and her assistant served during the event, making sure the platters were refreshed. They also cleaned everything up afterwards. My husband and I loved working with Jorden and her food was delicious! I found her through Thumbtack. She catered our ~200 person wedding at a summer camp in La Honda on 04/30/16. She was a pleasure to work with and put us at ease because we were confident she had everything under control. Jorden and her team took care of setup and breakdown in addition to preparing all the yummy, fresh food.. My family is Mexican so we chose to go with tacos for dinner. We got a chili encrusted fish, carnitas, carne asada, and soy chorizo for the tacos, a veggie and fruit setup for the cocktail hour, and coffee service for the evening. Everyone LOVED the food. Jorden catered our wedding on 4/23/2016 in Ben Lomond, CA. Jorden was a pleasure to work with. She is professional, personable, experienced, talented, and flexible. I found Jorden through Tumbtack, and after sifting through several grumpy/rigid people, we were lucky enough to come across Jorden and her company.We had an outdoor wedding for 150 people, and Jorden knew exactly what to do with keeping food hot and ready, and her staff did a fantastic job at keeping the event clean and orderly.The food was delicious! We opted for a Mexican style dinner with tequila lime shrimp, chicken verde, and a vegetarian option. The shrimp and chicken were very tasty and the texture was spot-on. However, most of the people on my wife's side are vegetarian, while my half are meat eaters. Jorden suggested a Soy-rizo, kale, eggplant which was magical. If we were to do our wedding over, we would certainly utilize Jorden and her staff. More...

Jorden and her amazing team catered our backyard "do it yourself" wedding in June 2016, for 165 people. From the time we booked with savory events to the wedding itself, we have the utmost gratitude and appreciation for this caterer! She was pleasant to work with, flexible to our changing needs as the big day approached, and her and her team delivered beautiful, delicious food with incredible service to accompany it!
