This was my first time at satellite. I fucking loved it. I had this beautiful lil server named brooke, I got there 15 before close. Which usually would spark an attitude with most industry professionals. But my server was so sweet the entire time and I had the best gyro since I've been in Greece last summer(I eat them quite a bit)! Great spot for HH. $4 off bottles of wine, discounts on cocktails & appetizers too. Staff super friendly, they take great care of their regulars. Shared the green curry mussels which are delicious. The shrimp toast served with I are good but they don't give near enough to sop up the yummy sauce, we had to ask twice for additional bread and they brought tiny slices each time. We dined Sunday for brunch and I was unable to order an alcoholic beverage until I ordered food, which was a bit annoying since I was waiting for my entire party to arrive before we ordered, and it was evident we were going to order. We even offered to get an appetizer while we waited, but it was indicated we had to order an entrée. That has never happened in the past and I hope it doesn't happen again for this type of fairly high-end establishment. I realized after we left, I did not receive my entire order. I supposed I should have noticed and mentioned it; however, I should have received my entire order without saying anything. The hostess was a little snooty. Satellite is truly a neighborhood GEM! My favorites are the Tuna Tartare appetizer and the Crab Stuffed Avocado, both with a side of the Ginger Soy dressing instead of the spicy dressing they’re served with. My husband’s favorite is the Meatloaf dinner. We had dinner on the patio which just keeps getting better and better over the years. Our server Sophia (I think) was very friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to the staff at Satellite Bistro & Bar for their private events! Last night, they hosted and catered my husband’s 50th birthday party. We had over 50 guests, 7 musicians who performed throughout the night, and a whole lot of eating and drinking going on! Marty, Neel and the rest of the staff took care of our every need! It was soooooo busy! The dessert we went for was very worth the wait but our waiter was so busy that he kind of kept forgetting about us. It took a little while for a tiramisu martini and three desserts to come out to us but they were very well worth waiting for and the presentation was gorgeous. The ahi tuna tartar napoleon is the thing to get here. If you order for 2 people, you get 3 little wonton crisps. For 4 people, you get 5 of the crisps. I wish that they were an even number - both times I've come and ordered this, we've fought over the last one! The wagyu burger is just okay, and the caesar is something to be skipped. Quality of food is very good. Flavors are spot on and not over seasoned. Ingredients seem fresh and of a good standard. Food is cooked and presented very well. The portions for the entrees are on the smaller end of the scale meaning you really need to have an appetizer to fill you up. The good news is you get to sample more items from the menu but it does almost double the price of the meal.Service is pretty fast but it can depend on who you get defines if the service is good or not. Seated quickly (did have a reservation). Server was attentive & checked with us regularly. Food came fairly quickly. Everybody was pleased with their food. (I had the chicken penne, and it was delicious. Husband said salmon was delish, but his broccoli was a bit tough.
