Sam is fabulous! She puts in a ton of care and organization for SAS. The dogs are treated well, and I am amazed how different and better they are after they’ve trained there. The facilities are so clean, you wouldn’t have thought there were ANY dogs around. I had a great experience with SASK9’s board & train. My dog was never good at being boarded at facilities, so I was a bit nervous to leave him for training for an extended period of time, but because it was Samantha’s home, I was willing to give it a shot. (Really, my dog has gone 6 days without food at a boarding facility before , so sad). I was a worried mom, and by the next morning , Samantha sent me a video of my dog eating successfully, which told me he was super comfortable. He actually gained some weight while he was there, hah! Anyway, my dog attended the six to eight week program for obedience, and I am just thrilled with the results. It’s been a few months now and even with some of my own laziness, he still has retained all he learned. My life is much more peaceful in so many ways. I really liked that I got more for my money, and by this I mean other companies charge way more for such a short time frame of training. To me it felt like I was paying other companies to teach commands , and I had to actually train the dog myself. Yes there is elements of training on my side, but there’s no way in two weeks you can have the same results as six weeks. So I was really attracted to that with this company. SAS trained one of my four dogs, I was having some puppy struggles with him and had to go out of town for work purposes so I decided to go ahead and kill two birds with one stone. I don't normally leave reviews but I think this team deserves so much recognition. They were all so very kind to me, and my dog. They were very accommodating to my crazy schedule. My dog received a lot of great skills that I thought may be kind of silly, but I am finding daily use for all the commands and I was wrong. I am considering sending my other two dogs on my next work trip, because my dog had so much fun, and you can see it in the engaging eyes he has with them, and now me. SASK9 Trained three of my dogs. One of which was trained by another local company who talked the talk but did not walk the walk. I was very skeptical to hire another trainer, especially in a board and train option. I’ve been the result of a horror story from a local boarding facility who trains dogs, and picked my dog up skinny, now terrified of other dogs due to the playgroup participation at the other location, in which a now former employee told me my dog was attacked five times during her stay, and she had lost 22lbs, returned home pooping blood from stress. Not what I would have expected for nearly three thousand dollars. So as you can imagine I was very very hesitant.But I was forced into a short term living adjustment which wouldn’t allow me to take my dogs, giving them up wasn’t an option. With my already “trained” dog needing more work, and my two young siblings who were recently found roaming needing some separation, and education, I spoke with Samantha throughly. She never tried to sell any single thing, which I enjoy. Most trainers reach for high cost programs and false promises. I was forced to need long term training, Samantha recommended the two week program for my little ones, and the six to eight week, or twelve week program for my previously trained dog. I opted to enroll all three into the twelve week behavioral program. While in training, my dogs maintained their normal weight, and came home healthy as when I dropped them off, and no bloody poop, and my once timid dog has all the confidence in the world. I had a situation which resulted in my son leaving the front door open for the entire world, darn teenagers, I didn’t notice; I came out of the office to find all three sitting at the door as they were taught and enforced, they never crossed the threshold, I was impressed before; but that took the cake. I cannot say enough good things about Samantha, her team and her home. I met many of her own dogs; and they were all social, happy, and listened great. I was able to see each and every one of her dogs, her yard, and training dogs who were non aggressive (I was able to view them but not interact with them) . She was very transparent, and even told me some dogs do lose weight through training programs due to activity, and adjustment, and mine didn’t. They were very comfortable there, and had a blast. I am forever thankful for the gift this team has given me and shown me, there are still great people out there who truly care about animals, and people. Honestly even if my dogs learned nothing during their stay, the money was worth their health, engagement, field trips, and so much more. And we got so much from this experience. I am very very satisfied, and cannot say enough good things about this place! We now live in another state over 10 hours away, and one of my co workers is now driving their dog to them, for the reliability, results and love they deserve for training.Thanks SASK9 you are the BEST, and I am forever thankful . SASK9 has been very helpful to my family. We had a lot of struggles between our two dogs. We were actually on the way to the animal shelter to surrender them because we had enough, and were at a loss. My wife was browsing Facebook and saw an ad for this company, she said “would you be willing to give this a try?” I will be honest I went into it blindly. I said yes. We called them right away and spoke with Samantha. I explained our situation, and asked if she would be able to help, she assured me she could, and would help us every step of the way. We were in a situation of having to leave town that night due to the passing of my father. I asked if by chance they could take them that day. Samantha said they were booked solid, but asked if I could give her thirty minutes to see how she could help. Within fifteen minutes we received a call back , and Samantha agreed to help us. We drove from the parking lot of the animal shelter, an hour and a half away to Samantha’s home. We were unprepared and very thankful, we did not have the needed vaccines required, and felt bad about that. Samantha offered to take our dogs to the vet office to update them, since we were in a rush to head North. I appreciated that greatly. During their training program we were able to watch their progress, to lengths we couldn’t believe. The dogs are doing fantastic even months later. The problems we had before, just didn’t exist anymore .. we are still very thankful for Samantha and her team, for helping our family stay together. My dogs were in great shape, happy spirits and very much enjoyed their stay. We recently drove by the turn to her home, both boys got so excited because they thought they were going back , haha, I am considering enrolling them on another program just to let them enjoy some more time with Samantha. Great team, I wanted to get my German Shepherd off on the right foot for my wife before I deployed, she and him did not have the best relationship. I opted to enroll in the Show Off Program, and for even more. Very knowledgeable staff, down to earth and genuine . The results were great. I met with four local trainers / facilities before making my decision, and have no regrets! I enjoyed the photos and videos of my dogs progress too, it showed me my investment was being put to work, and gave me peace of mind. Thanks again for all you guys do! More...

Samantha was a speaker, and teacher at a conference I attended a couple years ago on dog psychology. She was a very very good teacher. I picked her brain most of the weekend, and really enjoyed all of our experiences and talks. I followed her on social media for a while, occasionally reaching out when our shelter had some rough dogs. Samantha always had the best advice, and tools to try. I eventually sent one of my newest foster fails to train, and she worked out all the kinks! My dog is so much happier, relaxed and confident, and now actually enjoys his other brothers and sisters. The dogs she owns, the dogs she trains, and her rescue dogs and adoptions are a true gift to this planet, and she is doing God’s work. I cannot say enough good things about Samantha! I wrote this late tonight after reaching out to her about another dog in my family, who went after our smallest dog for seemingly no reason, I reached out to Samantha for advice, and she gave me great advice and I look forward to applying the new exercises! I brought my puppy to Samantha for the basic obedience board and train. During the 2-3 weeks she had him I received updates personally as well as saw videos and pictures posted on the Facebook page of his progress. My dog is a real special nut job, but we SOMEHOW still love him. ♀️We don't trust anyone with him other than S.A.S K-9. Since we found this incredible team, he has not stayed anywhere else. The owner has gone above and beyond for us in multiple emergency situations, including a specific time when Samantha 1. picked my dog up from my home, 2. took him to the vet for me when I was not strong enough to control his anxiety, 3. brought him to my home AND 4. when I asked her to, she even CLEARED MY LEFTOVER FOOD from my countertop so he could not steal it. I feel confident asking her about any weird medical questions and always know that she will help me decide if a vet trip is needed. She is that amazing. Because of her experience and training, my dog KNOWS that she is in control and listens to her very well. he always comes home better than I dropped him off. He gets plenty attention, mental stimulation and physical activity in her care. Her indoor and outdoor facilities are SO clean and organized and wonderfully catered to all of the animals. Samantha and her team are amazing!!!!!! I had a lot of questions, and they were always answered, without making me feel like I was annoying them (I’m a worrier). My dog participated in the Show Off Board and Train, and came home an entirely different dog! I was given strict two week directions following my dogs return, and I thought it was going to be horrible to find specific time due to mine and my husbands on going schedule, but, we fit in everything that was asked of us because we felt the investment was worth our time. And the difference in our dog was night and day. We also adopted a dog from their organization as well, that had become best friends with our fur pup, and let me tell you how awesome that dog has turned out to be. I was skeptical, and I was a bit nervous to send my dog away for training, as she can be quite the delicate flower (she will not eat much for two weeks when we travel together. ) My dog approved of this Company, and was eating the very next day. They have done wonderful things for my girl, and I continue to use them for refresher training travels. I don't know how it was done, but, my girl used to attack me for nail trims, this was never discussed at our evaluation, she came home with super short nails from maintaining them, and now will HAND ME HER PAW to clip. This company was great. Took a couple days to hear back from their staff, but that is understandable at times for a small business. I enrolled my dog into their service dog program from start to finish, and the results were outstanding. I ended up deploying while my dog was Training, and Samantha trained and cared for my dog through the entire process, never with complaint. We've met so many people who have been trained to work with difficult animals. We have a naughty Westie!!! Sam really impressed us because of her extensive knowledge of training, various methods, strategies, diets, & the fact that it comes so natural to her! She has an excellent way of communicating. We first met Sam when our 6.5 year old (at the time) German Shepherd, adopted just two months before, attacked the family golden retriever showing major aggression issues. Sam and her staff made a home visit, bringing two of her own dogs, to gauge the severity of our girl's aggression. After rigorous training, while providing boarding during the training, our girl emerged with sharpened obedience skills and avoidance skills for interactions with other dogs. She is now almost 9 and still uses those avoidance tactics frequently. She wasn't an easy fix and Sam was honest with us when she said Isha couldn't be completely cured of the aggression that was trained into her. Following her training, Sam has frequently boarded our girl over lengths from weekends to weeks. We confidently bring our fur baby to her, knowing she understands her needs and caters to her uniqueness. She sends pictures, gives our girl one on one time, free of other dogs, and we were very sad to leave her when we recently moved. Sam is an excellent trainer! We are current;y about 5 weeks into the "Wonder Dog' Program with our 4 months old Cattle Dog. He is very receptive and responsive to the training and Samantha has such an effective process of training! I would recommend her to anyone who asks about training. "You get what you pay for" is absolutely true with her business. She goes above and beyond to train your dog and help you learn how to deal with them! We love having her come to the house to work with us and our puppy and I am so glad we chose her! Not only does she follow the training curriculum from each program, she also offers help with other issues you may be having. She always has advice for curbing behaviors and has input for any concerns you may have about your dog. She is also just an all around sweet and friendly person.
