Sarah took my family photos this past fall and my daughters 3rd birthday party photos last spring. Both occasions were amazing. She took all the awkward out of posing for family photos and made it a fun, special experience for all of us. (plus, kudos for getting a 6 and 3 year old to cooperate!) the pictures are stunning. At the birthday party, Sarah blended right in making the children comfortable (I don't even think they noticed she was there). She captured some really awesome moments, leaving me able to do my mama birthday party thing and not worry about taking pictures. She is professional, fun and amazing at what she does. Sarah is Amazing!!!! She spent the day with my husband Erik and I to take our maternity photos. She is more than just a photographer, she is an artist:) She is so easy going and makes you feel so comfortable during the shoot even for me who is extremely nervous taking pictures. I was literally speechless when we received the photos, she captured the love and excitement that we were both feeling during that time. We are so grateful to have worked with her and that she provided us with such a wonderful frozen memory of that special time in our lives. Sarah did a family session for me, my husband, and our 9 month old daughter. She was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. Our daughter was teething that day and not her happy self, but you wouldn't know it looking at the pictures. Sarah was not afraid to act goofy or make noises and faces to get her to smile. She directed where we should stand and would tell us how to angle our bodies, etc to look best, but let us be ourselves and act naturally. She was such a pleasure to work with! Sarah is an incredibly talented photographer and also wonderful to work with! We have now had numerous sessions with her over the years, including our wedding, two newborn shoots, and family photos, and we have truly loved all of them. Shortly after I got engaged my dear friend Sarah came to visit me in Baltimore. She brought along her camera and offered to take engagement photos as a gift for us. My husband is a bit camera shy and getting him to agree to a photo session was difficult to say the least. Luckily, Sarah has a way of making even the most uncomfortable people relaxed around her. There were many times when we felt like we were just sitting and talking and all the while she was snapping away making magic happen! She is so easy to work with and her positive attitude is contagious! She pushed through the cold windy day with ease and found inspiration around every corner. At some point we were all having so much fun that we forgot how cold it was!

When we saw the finished product we were blown away! She exceeded every expectation we had and set the bar for our wedding photographer very high! Many of the pictures she took that day are framed in our home and in our families' homes. My husband even made a book of the pictures she took and gave it me as a wedding present :) Sarah is more than just a talented photographer, she is an amazing artist whose attention to detail and eye for beauty create beautiful prints! Sarah photographed my wedding recently, and my husband and I were in awe of her talent. We still cannot stop talking about how wonderful it was to work with her. Before our wedding we were nervous and Sarah came to help us with the first look and take a few photos together before the ceremony. Her genuine happiness for us and her calm demeanor helped ease us into the day, and by the time the ceremony started, we felt incredibly comfortable. Our guests were noting how we did not look nervous and we kept saying, “Our photographer helped us!” Throughout the family photos and the photos of us after the ceremony, Sarah made picture taking easy and enjoyable. It was the perfect way to “wind down” after the ceremony. Sarah’s talent was really revealed when she posted six “sneak peak” photos on her Facebook page. We were astounded at the beauty of her pictures. When showing them to colleagues, several people said, “She’s not just a photographer – she’s an artist.” And that truly sums up Sarah’s talent – she IS an artist! More...

Several years ago, we contacted Sarah to take some family photos. To say we were a bit nervous with the idea of having "formal" pictures taken would be an understatement - but Sarah's relaxed and easy-going manner immediately put us at ease. The whole process turned out to be great fun, especially for our girls, and the we couldn't be more pleased with the results - so much that we have worked with her many times over. Sarah is super professional at every stage, efficient and timely with her edits and gives really good advice in terms of what might or might not work.
